best thing to say when you can't think of what to say

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Oooooh, that must have been a nice PM, Eddas Hope she went to bed ok - my 2 have been in bed since 6.30!! They have been so whingy and yukky and tired today, grrrr! Trying an experiment tonight too - DD2 and P tend to sleep relatively late in the mornings (up to 8am ish) and DD1 tends to get up stupidly early and wakes them up - So we've put DD2 and P in together tonight and put DD1 in her room on her own under the strict warning: "No waking the other 2 up in the morning!" Hoping it means less days battling grumpy cross tired children .....

We'll see....

Where is everyone today!!!?

CaptainDippy · 12/01/2008 19:14

Relaying message from POTC - she not seeing her man tonight as he has Labrinithis - she she's currently enjoying a nice drink with a friend .....

CaptainDippy · 12/01/2008 19:31

Righty ho - think I am going to go and eat doughnuts, drink tea and watch DVD with DH. xx

elkiedee · 12/01/2008 19:36

Ah, so that's why it's so quiet, POTC has a life. What are the rest of us going to do? No, the rest of you have gone and got a life too, it's just me!

oooggs · 12/01/2008 19:52

evening all - just back from the Rainbow swim - quiet isn't it?

Octothechildherder · 12/01/2008 20:13

Hello - just popping in quickly to catch up. Glad things are sorted now oooggs xxxx

mammyjo · 12/01/2008 20:46

Hi all. Just popping in quickly. Hope everyone ok. Oooggs, glad things went ok yesterday xx

CD and Eddas, hope you are both feeling brighter.

Elkie, did you manage to sort the house insurance out?

Pesha, how's the neck?

Pillock, shame you didn't go on the date but hope you get to meet up with him sometime soon

Octo, made me laugh when I read about your past. I am a fairly respectable person nowadays, but I remember having a few of those experiences It was great! Oh to be young and have no responsibilities [wistful emoticon]

mammyjo · 12/01/2008 20:48

Runny, thanks for the cake on Thursday! E had a lovely time too. You will have to bring the boys to mine next time. Good luck for the interview. Was at millie's again today for yet another party, it is a good place

mammyjo · 12/01/2008 21:45

Going to head to bed now. Where is everybody?

WestCountryLass · 12/01/2008 22:02

I am going to watch Boy A on More 4 now.

Octo, am busy now Weds, could do Mon at 10.30 or Thursday after school run.

elkiedee · 12/01/2008 22:03

Thanks MJ, I spoke to the insurers on Thursday - they're very happy with the quote for fixing our window - just as well as we had the work done straight away, but the price is totally reasonable as I thought it would be.

I need to write the list of things taken up and print it off, I hope that I can get my evidence ready so dp can copy stuff and send it on Monday, I'm really missing our ipod so hoping that the claim and replacement will be processed quickly. I'm hoping that it will simplify things that even new for old replacement costs for nearly all the items taken are rather less than when they were bought.

Enough of my ramblings, if anyone's around to post I'll try and respond to posts instead of just writing about me again.

POTC, hope your ummm, love interest, gets to feel a bit better soon, we're all waiting to find out whether he's good enough for you.

CaptainDippy · 12/01/2008 22:09

Popping in quickly, been watching DVD with DH and now making mince for tomorrow before bed - Just realised we don't have any mushrooms, so DH has whizzed out to Tesco Express.

This is about as exciting as my Saturday night gets.

Hope the insurance gets sorted out for you soon, Elkie.

Just heard that my sis' SIL's baby was stillborn yesterday, so so

StealthPolarBear · 12/01/2008 22:18

Hi everyone
Dippy, so for your sis's SIL, was the baby full term? What a horrible time it must be for them
Well, had quite a nice day, been to mum's for her birthday celebration which was lovely but still recovering after last night. Didn't get to bed until 1
So bed time now I think!
Oh and I am not friends with tesco any more.

Pesha · 12/01/2008 22:18

Evening all

Elkie - glad things seem to be going ok with the insurers

POTC - sorry 'bout your man Hope you have a good night anyway

MJ - thanks for asking, neck is still pretty crap, not as bad as it was though. Its ok in the day as long as I dont try and look at anything to the side!! Stiffens up in the evenings though. Think will go dr next week and ask for physio again.

Well tonight we have been watching films! Dp has the remote so we've been watching Shallow Hal, About A Boy and Shawshank Redemption. Alternating everytime theres an ad break Why do men do that?!?!?

Pesha · 12/01/2008 22:22

Dippy so about sis' sil. How awful

SPB - lightweight What did tescos do?

About A Boy has finished so we seem to have added Shaun Of The Dead to the list

StealthPolarBear · 12/01/2008 22:26

Shaun of the Dead is good
Had you gone by then pesha? You knw I was shopping for about an hour and a half? Well, came to checkout, noticed the address was wrong, went to change it and by the time I came back my basket was empty

I made ds' footmuff/buggy snuggle thingy tonight. If I may be so bold, it looks lovely

elkiedee · 12/01/2008 22:51

Hope everyone who'd gone to bed at this point had a good night... I've been having to search other threads for interesting topics. Now to go and see how many scrabble games I've lost!

Pesha · 12/01/2008 23:04

Pesha · 13/01/2008 01:47

So its your fault

How was your night?

Pesha · 13/01/2008 01:55

There is osmething in my house that beeps. It has just beeped alot, i assume its an alarm. And it beeps every hour (but not on the hour) through the day. It used to be by the table here, then it was in the hall, now it seems to be by the telly. It sounds like a digital watch type beep but afaik we dont have one, noone has lost anything that beeps. WTF is it??????

Maveta · 13/01/2008 06:15

A very bleary morning to you all! Not posted for a few days but have lurked and caught up.. having miserable nights with N here that are leaving me (us) quite His second top tooth is about to come through and I was hoping it would last night but it didn´t so that´s probably not the end of crappy nights. We got about 3 hours straight from 3am-6am this morning. It is just so depressing. He´s got so much mucous/fluid he can barely breathe/feed etc. Am I right that this can be connected to his teething or is it a normal cold he has on top of everything? Even with the medised at 3am he only slept 3 hours!

Enough self pity... um.. imagine we´ll have a quiet day here, think if dh wants to take N to see his mum he can go on his own and I´ll grab some `me´ time.

Dippy so very very sad to hear about your sister´s sil. So horribly impossible to understand.
