PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/12/2007 19:47

Am I arranging a night and letting you know?

Wow Pillock you're brave buying a car on ebay (if you get it), it looks good though!
GMM glad you had a good day, it sounds really nice. Things are much much better, thanks for asking. T almost did it again earlier when he banged his lip (there's a tiny bit if blood). DH was holding him and we could tell by the way he was crying that he was doing the brath holding thing. DH didn't panic, just talked to him, and when that didn't work blew on his face (was reading on another thread, or did someone here tell me that?) Anyway that worked like magic, he instantly snapped out of it! SO I think we're both much happier that although it seems like a regular occurance we can stop it before it starts. DH and I have been getting on well, went for a walk before when it stopped raining which is lovely as it means we can talk to each other without having to worry about where he is and what he's chewing Also T seemed to enjoy some of my home made ([smug mummy] don't get to do that too often) spaghetti bolognaise earlier, so all in all it's been a really good day. And I got loads of stains off the bath with jif which is stupid but has cheered me up no end!
As I mentioned before, T fell and cut his lip (tiny bit of blood) earlier. Why am I the only one who seems to come on here with a daily injury list? Am I the only one who doesn't watch her LO closely enough? I have the attitude that unless it's pretty serious it's no big deal and he'll only get worse as he gets older, but now I'm wondering if I'm being a bit too laid back about it all? Doesn't help that family (mine in particular) are neurotic and still put their hand behind his back when he sits up!

StealthPolarBear · 29/12/2007 20:22

excuse the rambling thoughts there, just feel like I've emptied my brain onto the screen!

StealthPolarBear · 29/12/2007 20:28

AND I forgot to say after 2 horrible nights trying to get a wide awake T to sleep at around 8ish he has dropped off naturally at around that time both tonight and last night. That's the best (late) CHristmas present ever, I just hope it continues. Though he woke once last night it wasn't really a problem.
Is the psychic link still working its magic on J as well Pillock?
Have I scared everyone off?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/12/2007 20:30

not brave really, as it's very close to me, so we went and looked at it/met the seller today, not really any different from any other way of buying when you do that

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/12/2007 20:32

no, Joe having a shitty night tonight, his breathing is much worse. he's dosed up on calpol night but doesn't seem to be working

StealthPolarBear · 29/12/2007 20:34

Ah good so you wouldn't be waiting in for a huge parcel from Royal Mail then?
Sorry to hear about Joe, are you going to get him checked out again? Must be horrible when they're not comfortable breathing

fpesha · 29/12/2007 20:35

Glad things are going much better spb. D hasnt really injured himself much yet but thats because he's still not really crawling although getting much closer to it. M and N were both always bashing themselves as babies, I think its just part of the learning process.
I remember M head butted the sharp edge of a door frame once and had a HUGE bruise on her forehead with a dent in the middle. Then just as that was clearing up she fell and smacked her head on my friend's pushchair and gave herself a black eye! And she used to really scream when she hurt herself. N just used to get up and carry on, there's no stopping him, the boy bounces!! He's fallen over a few times running down the pavement which is on a steep hill and he rolls like a stunt man and just jumps up and carries on!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/12/2007 20:36

I'm afraid Stealth, that a daily injury list is something that (in general) comes with having a boy. Either that or I'm too laid back as well, because M went through a long period of being in the accident book at nursery every day, sometimes more than once and when he came home he was no better.

I too have always just let it go unless it was serious, or involved a bad bang on the head, in which case I did take him a couple of times to A&E.

Joe isn't at that stage yet, but then he doesn't really do much on his own, he cruises round the furniture but can't get very far as we don't really have it laid out in a useful way for him, and he doesn't crawl or roll much so nothing yet!

geordiemacminxpie · 29/12/2007 20:37

Katy - Xmas day C had a bust lip, a huge scab on his cheek where he had scratched himself and a bruise on his head from trying to launch himself of the bed and hitting the bedside table.

I think its just cos they are so active. He has a rom full of toys and spent most of the afternoon climbing over the nappy box to get to the xmas tree.

fpesha · 29/12/2007 20:37

X posts.

Sorry about Joe ellie

D's still awake rolling around on the floor with N Starting to grumble now though so hopefully feed and then bed

geordiemacminxpie · 29/12/2007 20:39

PillockOfTheCommunity · 29/12/2007 20:41
