mhc I don't know where to start, that sounds so fucked up! you poor dh though, it's sometimes difficult to be objective about your own family.

would you like to study medicine?

wrt the email thing, you don't have to use webmail, does your internet service provider offer you an account. the advrts that you see on gmail won't affect how others see your email (unless they are added to the actual email content) you might see them but what your client ssee will depend on their email provider not yours.

mhc, that's awful, and terrible to phrase it in those terms, makes it sound like you think it was your fault. i hope that is not what you think

if you did want to study medicine could you do an access course? my dh did on in a year before getting into uni as a mature student.

afternoon all

mhc - gosh don't know what to say but WOW you sound like a very strong woman and a great wife to your DH who also
seems to have shit around him.

I always promised myself if there is one thing I want to do as a mother - not fuck up my children. It is amazing how things stay with us.

Everyone else hi.

Im in and out Elsbells!
MHC, sorry that youre having a shit time of it - and also sorry about your past - sounds like you had awful time 9yrs ago. Dont know what else to say really, but feel free to rant.
I have Tesco as my internet provider, but always use Yahoo for email - just log onto their webpage and set up an account from there - needn't have anything to do with your PIL's.
Wow L's been asleep for about 2hrs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bumgenius are fab - so far no leaks and max time L has had it in is about 15 hrs overnight!

I dont use Outlook - just set yahoo to my homepage and click on email section to read and send them.

whats the benefit of using outlook then?

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 20/12/2007 14:56

Yahoo don't send directly to outlook, no email provider does, that's not how email works, they will send via various routers to your isp who will send email to whatever you choose to view your email with.

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 20/12/2007 15:00

If you use outlook your emails are saved on your computer, and are "pushed" to you when you open it up. when you are not online you can still view emails that have already been "pushed" to you. disadvantage is you are usually tied to reading emails only from your computer.

if you use webmail you are just downloading a webpage from the hotmail/yahoo etc. server. you can only view your email by logging onto the web and downloading that webpage. you can view from any computer.

justbeme · 20/12/2007 15:18

oh ok ta bumper.
well L loved the mature cheese in my toasted sandwich!! and then she ate a whole jar of rice pudding!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/12/2007 16:06

If you get a chance to log on again before you go Daisy, travel safely and take care - you your DH, DCs and all your family. Will be thinking of you.

MHC, your DH sounds like he is very lucky to have you. It sounds like a messed up situation (if you don't mind me saying so) and I hope you both find a way through it. And that's very exciting and brave to be thinking of studying medicine - a lot of work but I'm sure you're just the woman to take on such a challenge

Weather has gone very odd here. When we went out before 1 it was bright sunshine. We stopped to play on the swings and it was lovely. While we were at the party thick fog has descended, it's horrid out there now. Party was nice, and the presents were for the mums as they (rightly) decided the LOs would have more than enough. Everyone was saying how good DD was at sitting up when she fell over and bumped her head and we had floods of tears. But it had only been on the soft mat, so no lasting damage, just a shock.

TinselTrace2 · 20/12/2007 17:51

daist hope you have a safe journey, and thinking of you if you want anything please ask? am not to far away dont forget.

hows every one else ? busy me thinks i had my mir yesterday i hope i never have to have an other its not nice. i have a question if you can help putting on health too though bit worried once more ds as had the v bug last week as you know todays hes had a poo its very pale but with blood in it sorry if if its [tmi] is it still from the bug? do i wait to see if any more in it next time he goes? or phone gp in morning? hes not ill any more !

god it dont rain it pours

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/12/2007 17:56

Hi Trace. Thankfullt I've never had an MRI but I gather they're not the most pleasant experience. Hope you're OK, whatever it was for.

No idea really about your health/poo question, but I'm sure someone will be able to help. Wishing for some better luck health wise for you and your family though.

TinselTrace2 · 20/12/2007 18:04

hi jammy are you ready for xmas and thank you, so do i

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 20/12/2007 18:14

Cards sent and present shopping done. DH doing food shopping as we speak. So getting there.

HellHathNoFury · 20/12/2007 18:23

Trace I would call GP - blood in poo is not normal just from a bug?

WewishyouaBUMPERLICIOUS · 20/12/2007 18:44

Trace, not sure about the poo, maybe give NHS direct a call. I've had 2 MRIs but I got paid for them £20 each for research at uni! But no they are not particularly fun, especially not if something is potentially wrong . I saw your post about secret santa trace, sounds absolutely fab. The power of mumsnet is amazing!

TinselTrace2 · 20/12/2007 19:11

talked to dh about ds he says will wait till morning cos if ds hears he will panic, i didnt let him see what was down there! but hes not ill at all. BUMPERLICIOUS i would do again if you paid me i was panicing !

and yes mumsnet is great i cried today when i got the box i carnt belive how kind people

i bet its you lot who put me forward
