hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
PeshaCake · 09/11/2007 10:11

Katy my left boob is so sore from him pinching me all the time. I have ordered a nursing necklace from ebay for him to hopefully grab onto when feeding. And whenever I hold him he goes straight for my necklace and it goes straight in his mouth.

Maveta · 09/11/2007 10:16

PMSL SPB, N does exactly the same, fistfuls of hair on either temple and my chin in his mouth. Really sore!!

Hi Elkie! Hi Pesha! really sorry about all the hassle with M's dad, must be a nightmare having to constantly fight that battle.

CaptainDippy · 09/11/2007 11:06

No time to catch up properly - buzzing around doing stuff! You guys talk the hind legs off a donkey .....

Did see runny "leaving in car" dilemma though ..... if P is asleep, I leave her and lock up the car, if she is awake, I take her with me - she'll scream the place down (seperation anxiety BIG time) if I left her ...... Leave the girls in the car together, strapped into car seats if just popping in somewhere .....

geordiemacminx · 09/11/2007 11:12

Hey ladies

Pesha, the cake is fantastic!!!

C is very much into pulling hair and biting..little toad bit me 4 times when I was feeding him last night...ouch!! He hasalso managed to break his daddy glasses

Fantastic news here... my parents are coming up tomorrow and are goin to look after C tomorrow night so we are going out...AND we have booked into a hotel Its only 5 minutes down the road but it'll be nice to have a full nights....sleep I just hope C is ok, the last time we left him he screamed and sobbed for 2 hours..

oooggs · 09/11/2007 11:18

I'm starving and its only 11.18am......

geordiemacminx · 09/11/2007 11:20

starving here too oooggs, on diet though so seem to be permanently hungry...although O have lost half a stone in 10 days though... only another 2 stone to go

CaptainDippy · 09/11/2007 11:21

Yey GMM

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2007 11:30

GMM, very of the hotel
Well I thought I had the shower problem cracked but no, he still cries. Today he came into the bathroom and cried with his face pressed up against the shower door which also made getting out quite interesting as it opens outwards
Well, off to get a play pen!
oooggs, did you get any help with the sleep problem?

runnyhabbit · 09/11/2007 11:37

Well W now has 4 teeth (2 top and 2 bottom) Which wouild explain him waking up at 1am and then 3.45am. But he decided that he didn't want to sleep So took him downstairs, stuck him in his pram, put the tv on, and I laid on the settee. Never mind. I'm sure its not helping that he's still in with us. Really need to get their bedroom sorted before I go back to work. Dh has a got a week off before I go back, so we WILL get it done then!

The thing is, each time he woke up, he actually had a good bf, so I'm going to up his food intake during the day, and try and put him to bed later. So this is my plan -

6.30am bf (this is the time we'll be getting up when I go back to work)
8/8.30am breakfast (cereal & yoghurt)
12pm lunch (plus pudding)
3pm bf
5.30pm tea (plus pudding)
7.30/8pm bf, then bed
10.30 ff dream feed

That looks like such a lot of food, but I guess he needs it so he doesn't need to wake in the night!

Maveta · 09/11/2007 11:45

good luck runny, let me know how it goes.. thinking of introducing tea for n next week so will be good to see if it affects his night waking tho tbh the addition of food doesn't seem to have so far.

sorry katy i know it's a nightmare for you but i did have to smile at the image of t following you in to the shower, poor mite. they don't half know how to tug at the heartstrings don't they?

yay gmm re. weightloss! also of the night away. mum has offered to take n for the night but i just can't leave him at the mo' with how much he's waking at night. wouldn't wish it on anyone! But the moment he sleeps through..oh he is so off to Grandma's

CaptainDippy · 09/11/2007 11:57

to bad night runny. xx Hoping the extra food makes a difference!! Right, P awake, gotta buzz and make dinner etc before going out for the pm ....... madness .......

busywithIzzy · 09/11/2007 12:01

GMM very of your night away. You lucky thing

Runny - That sounds pretty similar to what I do with Izzy except the 10.30 ff dream feed.

Oooggs - So pleased you had a better night. Long may it continue.

SOL has been round for coffee this morning with K. It was really lovely to see them and K is just gorgeous.

Izzy didn't wake until 9 this morning but didn't go to bed until 10.30 as Dh and I went out for a meal and took her with us. She is such a flirt already...making eyes at everyone especially the men

Oh yeah I have another hair puller here, she also loves to latch on to my chin or mouth, yesterday she bit me on the lip it really hurt. Has nipped me a couple of times when feeding, but has seemed to learn already that boobie goes away if she does.

I also leave Izzy in the car if she is asleep. Always leave both of them in the car at petrol station as well.

Maveta · 09/11/2007 12:05

oh forgot to say - HI MOSSY! - didn't want you for any particular reason, just wondering how you are cos I haven't seen you around..

speaking of which, Pinions where are you???

runnyhabbit · 09/11/2007 12:08

Please tell me to go to bed!

My mum has got the boys for the day, and I'm tired, so why aren't I in bed?

Maveta · 09/11/2007 12:11

oh my god you nutter, go to BED!!! Or even better, go for a long hot bath with a crap mag to relax you and then climb into bed. Oooo what a luxury. do it for me!

runnyhabbit · 09/11/2007 12:14

Can't be doing with baths during the day, so am going to curl up with a good book instead

nighty night
x

CaptainDippy · 09/11/2007 12:18

Oh yes - Hi Mossy!!!

Good to "see" you BWI - P is a flirt too - smell puts people off a bit though!! xx

Maveta · 09/11/2007 12:23

runny

hi dippy - here i am trying to skive work and it's so quiet! is it me??

oooggs · 09/11/2007 12:54

katy - hv suggested cc but since (last two nights) they have been ok

Erin is a hair puller and they both go for my necklace which hasn't been fixed that long since ds1 broke it

off to freak twins club in a bit

PeshaCake · 09/11/2007 13:17

Just saw this on yahoo -

Most ridiculous British law: [in order as voted by viewers of gmtv i think]

  1. It is illegal to die in the Houses of Parliament (27 percent)
  1. It is an act of treason to place a postage stamp bearing the British monarch upside-down (seven percent)
  1. In Liverpool, it is illegal for a woman to be topless except as a clerk in a tropical fish store (six percent)
  1. Mince pies cannot be eaten on Christmas Day (five percent)
  1. In Scotland, if someone knocks on your door and requires the use of your toilet, you must let them enter (four percent)
  1. A pregnant woman can legally relieve herself anywhere she wants, including in a policeman's helmet (four percent)
  1. The head of any dead whale found on the British coast automatically becomes the property of the king, and the tail of the queen (3.5 percent)
  1. It is illegal to avoid telling the tax man anything you do not want him to know, but legal not to tell him information you do not mind him knowing (three percent)
  1. It is illegal to enter the Houses of Parliament in a suit of armour (three percent)
  1. In the city of York it is legal to murder a Scotsman within the ancient city walls, but only if he is carrying a bow and arrow (two percent)

I see nothing ridiculous about pregnant women being able to pee wherever they want. I dont get the fish one at all. But PMSL at it being legal to murder scotsman in york being considered the least ridiculous!!!

Sorry!

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2007 13:30

at number 5, including if he says "I'm a murderer, let me in?"
I knew the one about York, there are some very nervous scottish people in that city

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2007 14:46

I've just bought a play pen but can't bring myself to use it, he looks like he's in a cage
Someone tell me it's OK...
We can use it as a room divider at least

geordiemacminx · 09/11/2007 15:40

I think a cage sounds like a fantastic idea.... do you think they make sound proof ones?

StealthPolarBear · 09/11/2007 15:57

There weren't any on tesco.com, but maybe yuo should email them and suggest it
Ooh you'd change your mind if you saw him I keep thinking he's all proud cos he's learnt this new skill, and mummy and daddy reward him by shutting him in a cage Bet he won't learn to walk until he's 4!!

geordiemacminx · 09/11/2007 16:09

He probably thinks he's got his own new pad that mummy and daddy arent allowed to play in. Anyways - you are keeping him safe - I bet we were all kept in cages playpens when we were kids, it hasnt damaged us much
