hi daisy didnt now you knew pinkranger

annobalthebignosereindeer · 06/11/2007 14:51

Back again

My friend has just left - she cut and coloured my hair and cut the boys hair and DS3 slept through the whole lot. Ooh I feel just like a new woman .

Yes - I'm sure DS3 is grizzly because of teeth. I took a chamomilla and gave him some rescue remedy and he slept 'like a baby'. Now playing on his mat.

Norty - hope you and lo are feeling better.

Off to catch up now...

annobalthebignosereindeer · 06/11/2007 14:52

Meant to say that I love your Christmas name Daisy

DynamiteDaisy · 06/11/2007 14:55

Hi Trace...we were on the pregnancy after MC thread together .

Are you buying her nappies then?
and when do you want to meet up? I can't wait to meet Chloe.

We do big wet morning nappies too. If I change her in the night she just thinks it a big game and that it's playtime.

I've finally got DDs rash cleared up so can get back to using real nappies. We think it was thrush, as the canesten cleared it, but I also got some Bepanthen nappy cream which seems to be helping as well. And I washed all my nappies at 60 degrees which should hope fully have sorted them out!

Foxy....are you around? Was wondering how you got on with the HV this afternoon?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 06/11/2007 15:03

I wondered if I was in the minority doing a night change. She gets so wet she won't go back to sleep without a change (she hates being wet over anything I think, though will happily sit in her own filth, as DH so charmingly puts it)

She's napping now though which is as well because I'm worn out too from dancing with her to the "top 20 no 2s" on one of the music channels.

i was on there too me and pink had been ttc threads together too.
am going to leave nappies for now!.

yes i want to meet when can you do or what do you want to do? could we meet in leeds and do shopping? your new pics are loverly

justbeme · 06/11/2007 15:49

back from Tescos - recycled 130 odd items (glass/plastic/tins) - so get 33 or so points - but i really dont do it for the points.

have left all my shopping in a big heap as L was screaming in the car and is now feeding.

i too havent changed a night nappy for ohhh 10 weeks - the max she's gone is today 15hrs!!!!!!! (in a nappy - she woke up for feeds) - but i use these Huggies ones that say they r for 12hrs and i feed lying down under the duvet - only half over L though - then i wake up an hour later!!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 06/11/2007 16:17

Hello....feeling a bit better after a sleep....still haven't a voice though.

The new antibiotics for DD obviously taste better than the omoxycillin as she was licking the spoon ....she didn't like the cough linctus though

Blimey, I can't remember the last time I changed a nappy at night....hope I haven't spoken too soon....last time she was on antibiotics I had to leave IKEA and come home cos I'd run out of nappies as I had 5 dirty ones in 3 hours!

Love the Xmas name Daisy!

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 06/11/2007 16:19

btw Fury if you're lurking....have a great holiday

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 06/11/2007 16:39

am waiting for a tree surgeon to visit. if he doesn't come soon he won't be able to see the tree properly! Hate it when people don't turn up.

HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 06/11/2007 16:44

That sort of thing makes me SO .....its dark here already....all it takes is a phone call...

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 06/11/2007 16:47

That's how i feel Norty. He said he'd come after 4, what's the betting he called at 3.50 when I went to the loo and I didn't hear him?

OP posts:
HaveYourselfaNortyLittleXmas · 06/11/2007 16:50

Have you checked your 1571? If that happened here, I'd go elsewhere - I'd rather give my money to someone who deserves it IYKWIM!

Right off to find something for dinner.....

Have good evening everyone....early night for me so will probably be back in the morning x

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 06/11/2007 16:55

Fairy if your pump is still going spare i wouldn't mind giving it a go. i pump pretty regularly and am disenchanted with my avent isis.

thanks for the support re my mum.

daisy i have an appointment with the MH nurse next week. i'm not going cold turkey, don't worry. I'm easing off them. i just don't feel that they are doing me any good, and i want to try and sort myself out in other ways first. plus i need to sleep and they make me wake up all through the night.

norty, hope you are feeling better.

Isawbumperkissingsantaclaus · 06/11/2007 16:57

annobal, is the rescue remedy ok for the LOs, even with the alcohol in it? what do you use it for?

DynamiteDaisy · 06/11/2007 16:57

Oh Trace, I remember...it was you who invited me onto there cos I posted a thread about being pregnant again and scared witless ....LOL was it only just over a year ago???

How are you fixed for next week? and is it easier for you to get to Meadowhall? I've never been there and fancied a trip out at some point.

jammy, your talk of warm pamjams reminded me I must get the winter duvet out. I was bloody freezing when I went to bed last night (at 1am thanks to my wee power nap at DDs bedtime) and had to put a long sleeve t-shirt on and kepp my socks on!

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 06/11/2007 16:58

Phone didn't ring, but if he knocked at the door I might have missed it, but don't think it did. It's dark now, so too late if he does come. Agree it's put me off giving him the job.

OP posts:
DynamiteDaisy · 06/11/2007 16:59

that's good bumper. My MH nurse is great, and I find it really helpful just talking about things so,etime. I think I've turned a corner with the depression as life is suddenly seeming so much easier.

I love your Christmas name btw

Right better go and wake DD for a feed (she has slept from 9-12 today and has been out since four!) then cook tea for DS.

justbeme · 06/11/2007 17:02

Question for you - if your breastfeeding, do you wear deodrant??
I do, but was told by another mum that she doesnt as it "goes into" your milk.
when i said that i smell evil enough in the morning even whilst wearing it, she said that is so your baby can "find" you in the night and thats why nature makes us so.

what do u think?

nowbringussomeJammypudding · 06/11/2007 17:08

Call me a skanky mare if you like, but tbh I rarely wore deodorant even before BF

OP posts:
DynamiteDaisy · 06/11/2007 17:09

jbm, there was a programme on the other week about how many chemicals and toxins get into breastmilk from our modern lifestyles. I honestly think that a little deodorant isn't going to do much harm compared to the heavy metals I breathe in when walking next to a busy road.....and what about shampoo and shower gels? and perfume? (boy she must whiff a bit, LOL). There are lots of things in life that expose us to chemicals other than deodorant.....but I make sure I get an aluminium free one though.

same with using organic fruit and veg when weaning, or switching to organic formula when I start to use formula.....the milk DD gets at the moment isn't exactly organic, so why bother?

sorry, that wasn't meant to sound preachy

DynamiteDaisy · 06/11/2007 17:11

jammy, you're a skanky mare!

I've always been a bit of a sweaty mare, so the thought of not using anti-perspirant is totally alien to me. My DH doesn't use o though....he's got one of those crystal/salt thingies, but he doesn't sweat a lot so can get away with it.

As he works in the food industry as well he's not allowed to go into work fragranced.

andiemisletoe · 06/11/2007 17:13

I wear deodrant as I would be minging without what with the sweaty norks and the mily smell, sometimes i wonder if other people can smell the milkiness too or if it is just me

justbeme · 06/11/2007 17:14

god id hummmm gig time if i didnt wear any - the aluminium ones are q abit pricier tho arent they? (sorry daisy youve got dinner to cook!)

justbeme · 06/11/2007 17:15

Gig time?? Big time!!
