Because I am quite boring and very clearly have no life atm.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1375/417205?addwatch=1

This about explains it.

And pesha I don't think Rhubarb is "anyone" really. No-one of interest that is.

Right off to try and put some good use to my Sunday with dp and my lovely family .

(Sad feckers).

GERRRRROFFF MY FECKIN PUMPKINS.

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 11:00

Grrrrrr! DD1 has goe to church with MIL, other 2 are sleeping so I thoguht I owuld go back to bed myself ....... Just dropping off and DH starts talking to me. Just dropping off again and P starts squeaking Only she seems to have settled herself back down.

Arse.

Well I am well and truly awake now. No rest for the wicked. Poop.

Idreamofchocolate · 04/11/2007 11:01

Aw I see I missed all the fun last night. I carved a pumpkin last week too (well Emily hollowed it out and I carved it). It was cool, but dh threw it on the compost heap yesterday as it was starting to decompose and collapse. I thought it added to the scary effect, but I guess it was starting to smell somewhat. Am gutted I didn't take any pictures of it as it was much much better than Rhubarb's effort. I have some pics of Em hollowing it out, might shove some on my profile later.

Still full of cold here, getting very very tedious now. S has just started at nursery 3 mornings a week (I know, bad mummy), but the plan was I was to go to the gym and get super-fit and toned. With the way I'm feeling right now I'm using the free time to sit on the sofa drinking milky coffee and eating chocolate. I am getting anti-toned.

Idreamofchocolate · 04/11/2007 11:02

Hello Dippy. Arse indeed. You sound like you need the break honey.

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 11:06

I dooooooooooooo - I just wush everyone else could see that.

Wish I had some chocolate.

Think I'll go and make myself a cuppa.

Rhubarb and the other one (name forgotten!!?) didn't do a very good job of sabotaging our thread did they. Oddballs.

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 11:06

wish, even!

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 11:13

I now have a cuppa and I am having a good sulk ......

Idreamofchocolate · 04/11/2007 11:45

Aww Dippy sweetie, you do that. It seems that the only people who have any sympathy for how you're feeling are others in a similar situation (i.e. other mummies mostly). We all need a break from time to time, a little time to ourselves, otherwise things get on top of us.. Enjoy your tea, and send dh to get some chocolate...

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 12:11

Thank you sweetie - Yes the only people that have any sympathy are a bunch of people on the Internet

.... and I love you all!!

Have folded a load of washing, put some more on and started lunch. Now having a cuppa while DH takes DD1 to Homebase and the oven does it's thing ...

leakyR · 04/11/2007 13:01

Will be disappearing probably for about 3 weeks as our pc is off to be mended. I do feel like a limb has been removed.

Keep safe and well lovely ladies

HTH as MIL is putting lunch out.

VamPesha · 04/11/2007 13:12

I thought rhubarb and the boydog one were just having a laugh But then I am pretty hard to offend so perhaps I just miss things!! Lifes too short and all that.

Dippy I know exactly how you feel although I do get a break from the older 2 when they're at school but seem to be permanently with ds2 which is now becoming a vicious circle of ever increasing clinginess Never had a clingy one before, its very sweet but a bit tricky. Mind you I can be pretty tough so sure I'll crack it if I need to! But I'm struggling at the moment with dp being unable to do anything except sit on the sofa and with doing dds party and birthday stuff I am now completely shattered, I didnt stop all week.

I am torn between wanting to be able to start school job now cos we need the money (still waiting on CRB checks) and dreading it. I really dont want to have to work tbh and I know its only an hour and a bit each day but its every day in the middle of the day. I dont mind work but I like flexible organise myself and fit it in with my life type work iykwim. Oh well i expect I'll be fine once i get used to it.

Oh meant to say maveta at advice to put baby rice in bottle for weaning!

DD was cruising at 6ish months, crawling at 9 and walking at 11.
DS1 was shuffling from birth (),crawling by 6 months and walking at 10.
But ds2 is only rolling occasionally. He is mostly happy lying down kicking his legs, waving his arms and smiling at the world Which I'm loving!

And he eats everything, everything I've given him he eats and eats lots of! Yesterday at the party he ate a frazzle, a choc finger, a pink wafer biscuit, a mini cheddar and a tuna mayo sandwich And it was my mum feeding him all the crap couldnt believe it! Gonna get him weighed tomorrow, I think he's gained ALOT!

Sorry fairly random rambling post. Thats how my brain is at the moment!

CaptainDippy · 04/11/2007 15:01

Yey to MunchBoy, Pesha! P is a little Dyson too - everything that gets within 5 cm of her face gets sucked up!

Rhubarb and boydog went completely over-my-head too - I just thought they were a bit lonely tbh - were they trying to be annoying and offensive cos if they were - they failed miserably .....

Right, older 2 with outlaws, P asleep, but soon to be woken up so we can go out for a nice stroll! Been in all day and starting to feel claustrophobic now .....

cazboldy · 04/11/2007 15:11

I used to work at school at lunchtimes with a little sn boy as his 1-1 helper. well it started off like that, and ended up doing more and more!
I quite miss it actually, but I still go and help in ds2's class every monday morning. ( my dad has ds3 and molly)

cazboldy · 04/11/2007 15:14

that was to pesha by the way....

elkiedee · 04/11/2007 16:55

Leaky, your PC will take 3 weeks to be repaired? I don't think I could cope with that, being sad moo that I am. I've found a week without internet or working computer very difficult even before baby.

We've done very little except fight today, not particularly useful. D is desperately tired but has only slept for a total of half an hour since he woke before 7.

I started this post hours ago, finally managed to get D to sleep for 45 mins/1 hour, until just before 4. He's still tired and a little grizzly but I think he's quite a lot happier than he was!

Pesha, PMSL at your mum feeding him the biscuuits and crisps.

Our highchair should arrive some time this week.

Rhubarb · 04/11/2007 17:03

I'm sorry but could you tell me where I have been offensive please? I thought Mumsnet was for everyone? As I have 2 kids and recently carved a pumpkin I came on here last night and had a good natured laugh with other posters. No piss taking, just good humour. I left the thread with hugs and kisses.

Now I find that I am being called a no-one and accused of sabotaging and other insults.

Not very nice is it?

normabutty · 04/11/2007 17:15

Hi Rhubarb, I'm sorry if you found my comments last night nasty. We've had a few people critisise our thread titles in the past and I thought you were making fun of it. I think I left it on a fun note tho, at least I hope I did.

ARGH....someone please stop me buying nappies. I've seen 2 that I want and am trying hard to resist.

Also does anyone know how much more expensive turkeys (for xmas) are in local butchers (fresh) than from the supermarket (bought in advance fresh, then frozen til needed iyswim)?

cazboldy · 04/11/2007 17:17

don't know as my dad gets mine from a friend of his who rears them. Will be much nicer though!

normabutty · 04/11/2007 17:19

Yeah, it's our first xmas at home (usually go to parents or ILs) and I'm cooking xmas dinner this year. I was hoping to get one from the local butchers but my great aunt (97) is insisting on buying it. She's bugging my mum wanting to know how much my turkey is. Mum is, in turn, bugging me to buy it .

normabutty · 04/11/2007 17:20

that should be great aunt is paying for it not actually going and buying it iyswim.

Rhubarb · 04/11/2007 17:20

We did leave it on a fun note which is why I was shocked to find some rather nasty comments about me since then.

Am I to take it that if you haven't just had a baby or if you have a sense of humour then you are excluded from these threads?

VamPesha · 04/11/2007 17:27

Dippy enjoy your walk, althouigh by now you've probably hadit so hope you enjoyed it! I've been and had a little sleep and left dp looking after D as he'd had a big milk feed and sleep on my lap so saw no reason why I was needed! Unfortunately I feel worse now than I did before I went up tired, dizzy and slightly sicky Spect I just need some proper food though, have had nothing but party food and cake all weekend

DD has been playing with all her toys all day. She had loads of stuff and actually it was all really good. She's just about to start on friendship bracelets now, think she may need abit of help though. Last time she got a friendship bracelet set for her birthday I got hooked!!

Caz - there was a job going for someone to help at lunchtimes with a sn boy but I have no experience of that and really needed a job so didnt wanna risk going for that one, not getting it and then missing out on normal lunchtime supervisor position so I just went for the easy option!

weeonion · 04/11/2007 17:31

good evening folks. hello to you all. It seems i missed out on since stuff last night. rhubarb - i am sorry if you feel aggrieved by what has happened. i havent read it all closely enough so gonna sit on the fence but i thought it was all pretty good humoured.

Maveta · 04/11/2007 17:37

hi all just dashing in and out, dh bathing N and always needs my help at the end but wanted to say hi.

great news pesha about all the eating! good boy!

Been a busy hectic day here with family over for lunch and another awful night last night but like Oooggs said, all just par for the course now. Up at 5.50am this a.m. at least it gave us loads of time to get lunch ready

rhubard - second weeonion, have only had time to skim and not really sure i really followed the conversation last night but all seem good natured enough, i think there's just been a misunderstanding? Apart from that staying out of it but mumsnet is for everyone and 'our' thread isn't exclusive at all, anyone can drop in.. gotta go dh shouting. jeebus.
