Evening ladies! Boys are down, dinner is on. My mum called round today - the boys are really recognising her now and smile as soon as they see her! DH is working like crazy though with the reopening so it really was fab to have some help today. Also did some more high chair practice! We have a HV apt on Thursday for Conors latest weight check and then I’ll have a quick chat all things weaning with her, then probably crack on on Friday!
Also, yes - 30 whole kg haha, I was 70kg when I booked in and when I got on the scales before my c-section I was 100kg!! I lost 20kg in a flash, there was a heck of a lot in there - two babies, two placentas, two amniotic sacs. Lots of McDonalds. But finding the last stone very hard to shift. I still see a physio but we hope I’ll be approved for all exercise again at my next appt in 2 weeks if I’ve corrected my pelvic floor! Diastasis has healed so well I got it from 5 fingers at its widest point down to 3 by myself over lockdown - a 1-2 finger gap is deemed ‘normal’ so I’m so so close now!
Anyway enough waffle...
@MrsR16 why do babies all say bloody Dada first, it’s like the final insult! They look like them, smile for them... where’s our thanks haha!
@Fivebyfive2 He looks like he is loving that you! Oh your MIL sounds like a treat... I hope you told her where to stick her ‘advice’! Just let it totally wash over you and stick to doing your own thing!
@ELW85 Oh Finn you can’t be laughing at mummy at 4am!! Hope he’s been okay today!
@purplefig Sounds like she’s doing great on the sleep front! Yeah when the boys are bad with teething they chew their whole fist and also really like to chew material, they’ll try eating their bibs (dribble bibs a total must for the bad teething days!). There’s all sorts of stuff you can get but honestly I’ve found nothing really works quite as well as calpol or neurofen. Tooth pain is just the worst, I think it must be so confusing for them. Poor M - it really is horrid! Ruairí yesterday literally spewed up drool!!
