God my grammar is appaling today glad you cant red pen me SOH

AbbyLou · 27/09/2007 11:52

Oh my god, it's another screaming marathon here! She keeps stopping, almsot dropping off and then starting again. I'm sure one day that stubborn streak will come in useful .
PJC used to be a real Daddy's boy when he was little, so the opposite to L. He still is a real man's man and loves spending time with his dad, uncles and grandads. However since R came along he has wanted to play with me a lot more - I think it's a case now of he'll take attention from anywhere! So maybe the answer is another lo! lol.

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 27/09/2007 12:10

LG&T, don't be so lovely to me, I don't deserve it. Whaddya reckon me and you round Claire Verity's house with our children, duff her up a bit?

You're right about the birth. Still have nightmares about it and can't ever imagine feeling that I didn't let her down in the worst possible way. Gawd knows how I'll get through having more. I want at least 5. I'll have to move to your neck of the woods and let you doula! Start a yurt.

Asked ages ago, but does anybody want a brand new We're Going On A Bear Hunt? Charity shop for it if not...

largeginandtonic · 27/09/2007 12:28

We have it SOH! Loverly book as are you. Dont worry about a thing all will be well

AM the cardy is Beau's!!! Just checked and i cant find it. Is it white with a hood, pale brown edging? Excellent news that you have it, chilly weather setting in and all. Must be cold, have the heating on and am eating a cheese toasty sandwich, mmmmmmmmm

largeginandtonic · 27/09/2007 12:31

Mathilda needs one of these SOH...

largeginandtonic · 27/09/2007 12:32

Perfick attire for our Yurt

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/09/2007 13:13

Helooooo......

SOH, I'd love the book, well actually maddie would. Obviously English books are a bit few and far beween now for us here. We did a teddy bears picnic for Maddies's birthday. One of my friends bought the book with her and we acted out the bear hunt around the garden. It was magic and the children really enjoyed it. Thats if it's not too much trouble to post it here.

H was much better this morning he didn't even mention marmite so I'm hoping he's over the worst.

Maddie has laryngitus (sp) She's quiet though.

SOH your next birth is going to be perfect. Water birth at home, drug free and 20mins. I know these things!!!

Glad H i feeling better about it MrsJB, poor wee man.

Has the screaming stopped AbbyLou? Hope so, if not go out. It always works and makes you feel better.

Hugs just made a tent for Beau, scooped up his muslins and draped them over his play arch, how cute is that?! Course another minute and he would have probably kicked B out and be laid under there himself

Must get cleaning... >

largeginandtonic · 27/09/2007 13:46

Must explain that a litle better, my parents are coming to stay this weekend and im cleaning up for the imminent arrival, except im not. Im on here. Again.

largeginandtonic · 27/09/2007 14:21

I take it all back, he is a nightmare. I just left the room for 5 minutes... he has poured his juice over everything, i keep finding little puddles. In his shoes, on B's arch mat, in the remote, on the couch and cushions, the pc table, the arch electronic control panel, aghhhhhh. Luckily i took B with me or im pretty sure he would have soaked him too

AbbyLou · 27/09/2007 14:29

LGand T it sounds as though H is on a mission of destruction today!
I finally got R to sleep at 12.50 but had to resort to pushchair in the hallway. As we speak she is still asleep so hopefully she will wake in a better mood. I have been frantically pureeing while she has been asleep.
My plan was to give our house a really, really good spring clean before I go back to work in 2 weeks () time. However, with R the way she is I never seem to finish jobs. Dh and i have got a day out on our own next week. C is at the cm and R is going to grandparents and we are going to scare ourselves silly at Alton Towers. As expensive day out but we love it and haven't been since before I was pregnant with R. We have actually got some BOGOF tickets so it won't be too expensive. Hopefully it will be quite quiet too as it is school time and not a weekend.

SKYTVADDICT · 27/09/2007 15:12

Hello all

Really struggling to keep up.

Glad to see you back and both on the mend SOH. Sorry to read about marmite MrsJB.

C weighed in this morning at 17lb 9oz.

Still on one meal at lunch of about 3 ice cubes + 2 teaspoons of rice. HV says to move on the two meals but breakfast and tea so there is a space between - there is no time for breakfast in the Sky household!!

Feeling a little low still as got too much going on with DDs and C really doesn't like his pushchair - nearly in tears walking to school yesterday - not enough hours in the day - C moaning and groaning at me from his pushchair.

Sorry to only come on here to moan.

aprilmeadow · 27/09/2007 15:22

Fabarooney LG&T will get it in the post to you

MKG · 27/09/2007 15:43

Hi all and greeting from mucous central. The boys and I are still suffering, but muddling through at the moment.

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 27/09/2007 19:00

Email me your address MrsJB. It's my name and surname @ hotmail dot co dot uk.

Bought M a door bouncer thingy and she's the happiest I've seen her since birth...

Boing boing boing...

cameroonmama · 27/09/2007 19:14

J is in a flying saucer thing - keeps him quiet for hours!

Sky - I am with you in the too few hours of the day moan, today poor little J has had precisely 40 mins of sleep in his car seat going: to toddler gym and back, to toddler swimming and back, back from Sainsbury's, to school and back. No wonder he yells his head off whenever we approach the car seat, even if he can see it in a glimpse through the corner of his eye . Still it is ds1 day off preschool and we like to cram in the activity while it is available to us, as come Nairobi the poor lad will have to be content with a large garden a few chooks and a snake to play with.

Almost took the cardi for myself April...

MrsJB, glad H has been a bit better today.

Go Hugs, go Hugs, go Hugs

Mrsjaffabiffa · 27/09/2007 21:52

Thanks SOH, I'll message you through facebook tomorrow. Will have to get some more sour apple sweets to you in return. xx

lol at egging hugs on Cam, lg&t will be sending you some cake with an added surprise if you keep it up.

Night all........

Morning all. Just got up at 6 to go on my VIP Next Sale invite and it's all rubbish. I was hoping to get some bargains for Ruby but they've only got three items for the whole of 0-18 months. Wish I'd had a lie in now...

AbbyLou · 28/09/2007 10:44

Has everyone gone into hiding today?

cameroonmama · 28/09/2007 10:51

Hi Abby, I'm here in between trying to find a plumber as the boiler has gone into meltdown and doing a spreadsheet of expenses for moving to Kenya (April, you would be proud of me) No screaming this morning?

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 28/09/2007 11:07

I always wondered who those people who got up ridiculously early and went to the Next sale were. AbbyLou, guilty as charged. I'm impressed- I'm just not committed enough to either shopping or early mornings to manage the Next sale. I might get down there a few days later when all they've got is a maternity smock and an xxxl men's suit hanging folornly on the sale rail, wonder what the hell I'm doing in a shop and slope back off to the wylds of Norfolk.

I'm here for a wee while but dh is sodding off for the weekend to do a triathlon coaching course in Newcastle so I'm absconding to my parents' for the weekend. Could be a fraught weekend for both of us. DH stupidly didn't book anywhere to stay and it's the Great North Run so he's having to sleep in the car in absence of any camping/hostel space. And I found out yesterday that my parents don't approve of my parenting methods during a rather frank meal out. Co-sleeping, feeding on demand and feeding till 6 months are all anathema in my parents' world. Good on them for keeping quiet for 4 months but they sat and looked at me in the restaurant in that way they used to look at me when I was a 16yr old goth. A sort of 'oh dearie me, we don't really approve but you make your own decisions' look. They would never dare suggest I do things differently, although my mother did quite sweetly remark that the only time she'd ever consider commenting is when she sees me exhausted and poorly as a result of the constant feeding. I did point out that it isn't demand feeding that causes that, it's parenting a Tank of a child.

Must head off and pack some stuff for the weekend but no doubt will be back soon...

boing, boing, boing, she's been there all night...

AbbyLou · 28/09/2007 11:12

Had a good day so far thanks Cam. She went back to sleep in her bed today and we've just come back from town where she was well-behaved. Had to go to Specsavers to pick up C's glasses which got broken - again. It's a nightmare having a child who wears glasses although I have to say it's usually not his fault when they do get broken.
SOH sounds like you've got a fun weekend ahead. Try and stay calm, don't say anything you might regret later, it's not worth it. I am off to my parents this weekend too as dh has a stag weekend - tank driving and clay pigeon shooting. Luckily my parents tend to leave me to get on with it and help when I ask. My dad has made the odd comment in the past but gets short shrift from me and my dsis so doesn't bother anymore.

AbbyLou · 28/09/2007 11:13

Sorry if I gave the wrong impression - I wasn't actually at the Next shop, that is beyond even me. I was just doing it online so I could crawl back into bed afterwards.

ArtistFormerlyKnownAsSOH · 28/09/2007 11:19

Internet browsing much better than actually heaving yourself down there so all is forgiven. You do appear to have been out today though and as I am still in my pyjamas I am winning in the MN slattern stakes. In my defence, M was up and feeding a mind-boggling 7 times last night. I will get dressed when the feeling returns to the lower half of my body.

cameroonmama · 28/09/2007 12:26

Abby that's great, good old Ruby, time for a bit of internet shopping then! J has done a two hour stretch in his car seat this morning and has gone down again just now in his bed, poor boy will have to woken in 30 mins when I go to pick up ds1

SOH, have a great time and let your mum feed you up a bit and pamper you, its great that they haven't put in their tuppenceworth thus far and are probably simply worried that you are not getting enough time or chances for some you time and to build up your energies. FWIW my mother wouldn't dare comment on my parenting style, she is much too scared but I am sure she comments behind my back to my 2 sisters!

I am feeling a bit icky this morning, there is a v and d bug going around, probably coming down from Scoot in Ware so fingers crossed I can make it through the Harvest Festival Church service in one piece, it wouldn't do to vom in the church and especially not 2 months before J's baptism there, plus noone would buy my banana loaf if I was vomming everywhere and then the poor children in the orphange in India would suffer...see how many disastrous consequences could result from one bug?
