DH is off playing in Homebase, T is cooing on his rug and I am eating crumpets and drinking coffee
He's almost managing to get up on his hands and knees now - can get up on his knees and then push up with hands for a few seconds
(that's T BTW, not DH!)

busywithIzzy · 15/09/2007 11:12

Morning all

Looks like I missed a busy night!

SBS - Thinking of you, hope your Dad is home soon.

SPB - PMSL at DH playing in homebase
Izzy also making an effort to get up on hands and knees, she gets very upset as she moves backwards away from her toys!!

Octo - No hangover...you lucky thing.

Nutty - Enjoy the baby show.

Busy weekend here, we are going to decorate Izzy's room tomorrow, we never did it before as it was already yellow. I'm going for really girly pink!! Even better my ex-SIS (DON'T ASK) is coming round to help me!

busywithIzzy · 15/09/2007 11:14

Meant ex-sil even

Sexonlegs · 15/09/2007 11:51

Morning all.

Octo, how come you have no hangover???

SBS, hope your dad is ok.

Enjoy the Baby Show Nutty. I wonder what you will be buying???? !

SPB, great images of dh playing in Homebase!

BWI, enjoy the decorating.

All quiet here, as K has dropped off in her bouncy chair. I think dh is planning to take both of them swimming whilst I swan off to the hairdressers! Rather him than me!

Right, better get on. See you later ladies. x

CaptainDippy · 15/09/2007 14:11

Sounds lovely SOL!

All the best with the decorating BWI.

We're off to the Farm with the girlies in a sec ...... My mum and gran are visiting this week - I don't have the best relationship with my mum (understatement!) so it is going to be a long old week ..... sigh .... Classic quiote from my mother today: "Seriously, Eastbourne is MUCH bigger than Leeds." Bloody woman. Or, even better: "Hailsham (small town, literally just outside Eastbourne, 7 miles max from our house) - is that near London?"

Argh - help me!!

StealthPolarBear · 15/09/2007 14:27

Have fun at the farm Dippy.
SOL, v impressed at your DH taking 2 children swimming on his own! I don't dare take one!
Hi BWI

Sexonlegs · 15/09/2007 15:22

Quiet on here today.

Dh didn't take the girls swimming, so we are both going once K has woken up. Tbh I was/am quite keen to go, as this will be K's first time in the pool. Not so keen on exposing my body to the masses tho..

CD, hope you enjoy the farm hun. x

nappynuttynormabutty · 15/09/2007 16:58

Hello

CD - pmsl @ Eastbourne is MUCH bigger than Leeds!!!

Baby show was great . I only bought one nappy , tho I did buy 6 more sanitary pads, 2 bibs some babylegs and some homeopathic stuff. However (and I blame Ellie for this ) DH has become a sling whore (hands off him CD ..I know you go for the geek type anyway!!!)...he bought another mei tai, in "more manly colours" .

The best bit tho was when I bought my nappy (accompanied with lots of nappy chat ) I got it from an MNer...and when I confessed my MN name she knew who I was ...I always thought no-one noticed me ...tho I am now wondering if I have a reputation

elkiedee · 15/09/2007 18:24

Hi all, LOL at CD's mum.

We arranged to meet up with dp's friend from college in Norfolk - whom dp hadn't seen for years - and his two recently adopted daughters in Clissold Park. All the little ones were overcome by shyness but it was nice to see them anyway. The park has a deer enclosure and an aviary as well as more common things like a cafe, playground and quite a nice looking paddling pool.

D was up for about an hour at 3 am and has been grizzling on and off most of the day except when snoozing, eg when dp and I were gawking at the deer.

elkiedee · 15/09/2007 18:26

Nutty, who was it you met there? And LOL at your dh wanting to buy a sling in "more manly colours" (sounds like a bit of an excuse to me).

nappynuttynormabutty · 15/09/2007 18:30

Hi Elkie, gald to see you had a lovely day. It was Curlywurlycremeegg (sp?), she has an online nappy shop (snugglebum nappies) . Basically I asked a question about some nappies and she asked if I used reusables to which I replied that I was a bit of an addict. She asked me about my favourites and I mentioned the tie dye ones I have...they're from another MNer's site (flame's bumfluff nappies) so that's how we got onto talking about MN. I did say that she'd made me feel more like a regular tho cos she knew who I was!

StealthPolarBear · 15/09/2007 19:49

hi everyone
