BTW I've been doing mystery shopping for years and it is BORING!! I usually get banks. It is £10 a visit, but it is so tedious doing the same thing over and over again! I have done a couple of good ones, one was for diesel in reading. I got paid £30 and got to keep the top! I have loads of links if anyone wants them. One company I work for is really good if you want a meal out. They pay for your meal and you get a small payment as well.

my dd won't go to bloody sleep....aaarrrggghhh

every time i put her down she wakes up and shouts till i pick her up and feed her some more. she's normally fast asleep by this time!

JBM, sounds like your partner is being unreasonable, I mean presumably he could change and dress the baby whenever he wanted MEN (seems to be theme of the day). Sweet of your DD1

sputnik · 10/09/2007 20:40

I think Baby Sputnik is going through this famous 12 week growth spurt. I've hardly put him down ssince about 3. He would normally be asleeep now too.

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 20:51

sputnik, babyboo started her 12 week growth spurt at 11.5 weeks.....and is still going

I'm off to clinic tomorrow to get her weighed. She must be about 15bs I reckon!

I've given her a teething powder and she's gone staight to sleep. Wish I'd thought of it sooner. I think they must put a sleeping draught in them or something.

she's 14 weeks tomorrow, btw!

I think DS is starting this growth spurt too.

Normally his feeding is quite good... but it's ALL DAY today. 8 GODDAMN BOTTLES, 6oz per bottle, since 6am!! WTF?!

And to top it off, we have no water, Thames Water is having probs... thank god I had a full kettle for bottles!

loonylovegood · 10/09/2007 21:05

Bloody hell TA, that's shit! Hope it's back on soon!

Ds has just finished his growth spurt and my goodness was it a big one! He was 16lb 4oz last week and his skinny chicken legs have gone all chunky and squidgy! Gonna have to purchase some bigger nappies soon!

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 21:09

any excuse holly, any excuse

gawd TA, I hope they get it sorted soon. what are you meant to do? can you get out to the supermarket for some ready-made?

crap....dd fell asleep, i gave her ten minutes, put her down and five mins later she's grizzling again

Well the website said it should be back this evening... luckily when I noticed the toilet wasn't flushing this afternoon I rang dh and told him to poo at work (priorities!), filled the kettle, dog bowl, a couple of glasses of water for me & DH and then poof it was gone.

Can I have a moan about something?

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 21:20

moan away....

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 10/09/2007 21:24

Feel free TA! What's MN for if not for a good old fashioned moan?!

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 21:26

C'mon then woman, don't keep us in suspenders!

OP posts:
trendaverter · 10/09/2007 21:39

I am already getting the guilt laid on to me by my brother and a few others about going back to work...
Getting comments like 'Shouldn't you be at home bonding?? This is an important time in his life, what do you think you are doing?' etc etc

Do you think if I didn't HAVE to work I wouldn't?!
I don't WANT to leave my baby and my dog all day, and work for 12 hours a day for a huge company that will treat me like shit, but sadly if I don't work very soon we won't be able to make ends meet anymore!

And I don't have a permanent job, so no maternity leave - I just have to take the jobs when they come.

I want to say thanks to all you ladies though who haven't laid on an ounce of guilt, I guess you all know that the babymoon, as wonderful as it is, doesn't last forever

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 21:47

Aw TA, I'm sorry your family aren't being supportive. No-one wants to leave their baby, and i don't think you need him making you feel guilty, as I'm sure you are probably struggling with lots of those feelings already. Tell him to fark off and mind his own, if that's not too blunt!!

My sister went back to work when her DS was 13 weeks cos that's all the maternity leave you got nine years ago. I was supposed to go back when DS was 18 weeks, but sold my flat, lost my footing on the property ladder and squatted at my folks for six months before getting a council flat, just so I could take two years out. We do what we have to to get by.

Just remember though that after you've gone back, we'll be here to keep you smiling

Can I send you some virtual {{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

xx

Well its your life TA and you gotta do wot you gotta do!! - Tell them unless they're going to give you a few thousand pounds - to butt out!!

Thanks Sputnik and Daisy - I think he's being unreasonable as well - Ive been abit short with him since as I want him to realise that this sort of thing cant keep happening - tonight he bathed L for the first time - and I ended up putting another babygro on her - would you believe he dressed her after the bath - on top of the wet towel , so her babygro was all wet up the back - and he wondered why she preferred having no clothes on!! WTF!!

trendaverter · 10/09/2007 21:56

Thanks Ladies
Just had a row with DH as well... better go sort it out.
Nite all xx

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 21:57

Holly...this is worth watching.....I'll go halfs with you if you like as I don't need 20 nappies!!

OP posts:
justbeme · 10/09/2007 22:02

Theyre size 2 though Daisy -
L's just about to go out of size 2 disposables - do you reckon washables are the same?
Also the seller has no feedback - could be genuine...or maybe not ..and no photo.

loonylovegood · 10/09/2007 22:05

Cool daisy, they look good! I'm ebaying like crazy atm, so I'll keep my eye on them!

TA, I hope you feel better in the morning xxx

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 22:06

Sizes in disposable nappies and re-usables very different. Also different manufacturers have different size ranges.

Little lamb size2s are from 20lbs in weight.

i never noticed the feedback thing though (ebay rookie me!)

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 10/09/2007 22:07

I've just emailed the seller daisy and asked them to email me some pics. She is selling other things as well, so is unlikely to be dodgy.

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/09/2007 22:08

Gosh, I've just seen the news....Anita Roddick died of a brain haemorrage yesterday

OP posts:
loonylovegood · 10/09/2007 22:08

Am I reading it right that there are 20 nappies and 20 wraps? Seems an awful lot of wraps! They are fab though!

loonylovegood · 10/09/2007 22:09

OMG really, I haven't seen the news today, how awful!
