Hi all, looks like I've just caught up on today's chatter (lots of it!) and you're all off on msn.

Welcome evangelinesmum, would you mind us abbreviating that a bit? evy?

Nutty, hope you get the washing machine sorted out. I had that with mine when I bought it - he installed it but did it so badly I had to pay half as much again to get the installation fixed, even now it's not quite right. We're thinking of getting a washer dryer but I will have to get a proper plumber to sort it properly.

elliek · 06/09/2007 23:29

nope, they're all in bed elkie

Aaarggh I was interrupted in the last post by a crisis, we couldn't turn off the shower unit.

Thankfully our friend from a few streets away responded to my phone messages crying for help and came and kept calm while helping dp to find where the water turns off. We've now found out how to turn the main water supply on but stop the shower/bath running, and turn it on again when actually needed - until we get it fixed!

Aaaarrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggghhhhhh!

mammyjo · 07/09/2007 07:37

Morning all. Up and dressed early today as ds going to start first day in reception class!! Will take a pic of him and attempt to upload it later.
Have a lovely day all xxxxx

WO, I meant to ask you what bottles you were using for C? F didnt take to the avent ones but uses the tommee tippee closer to nature ones with no problem at all. They were recommended by a few people on here. Just a thought

mammyjo · 07/09/2007 07:37

Wow, I am the first one here today! Makes a change

StealthPolarBear · 07/09/2007 08:05

Morning
mammyjo, hope your DS's first day goes well.
elkie, hope you get the shower fixed - what a PITA
Had a fairly bad night - T decided to be wide awake after 2.30 feed but still asleep now so i assume he's catching up

EvangelinesMum · 07/09/2007 08:09

Morning all! I am taking E swimming today for the first time - I'm more worried about how hideous I look in my swimming cossie than anything else!

StealthPolarBear · 07/09/2007 08:13

Morning! I still have to go swimmimg with T. I really must make the effort.
Hope you enjoy it, let us know how it goes.

Sexonlegs · 07/09/2007 08:19

Morning all.

Mammyjo, really hope your ds's day at school goes well.
I am dreading trying to get to school. With preschool, we have been used to turning up at 9.30!!

Elkie, hope you get the shower sorted.

Emummy, enjoy the swimming.

Hope everyone is ok.

Dh finally got home at midnight after his flight from Dublin was delayed by 4.5 hours. They didn't even get offered a free drink .

All ok here. B's final day at preschool today , and have made up lots of bunches of flowers for the teachers.

Better get my act together. See you later. x

nappynuttynormabutty · 07/09/2007 10:14

SOL - on behalf of your dh.

SPB - sorry you had a bad night.

Elkie - glad someone helped with shower, we discovered how to do that when we found ours was leaking!

Well got sorted with Currys, phoned this morning and complained...they've rescheduled the installation and refunded the cost of it (the full cost even tho i didn't actually pay the full cost!). Had to go into the store to collect refund tho so dh was late for work .

Erin woke last night just before midnight ...it's the first time she's woke since she dropped her night feed when she was about 3-4 weeks old as far as i can remember. She was really crying, gave her some teetha powder and some calpol and she went back to sleep. Hoping she's sleep tonight tho.

Peshatlast · 07/09/2007 10:35

Morning all

Elkie I recently got a washer drier, its ok but does take longer to dry, low heat is fairly useless and it slows down washing quite abit if you've got alot cos you cant have one washing and one drying at same time iyswim. It is nice to be able to put a load on before you go to bed/go out and come back to it all washed and dried!
I installed it myself btw!! [smug]

DS1 not quite so happy about going to school today but think he's just tired, still not got his sleeping sorted really. Gave me alot more cuddles before saying goodbye too but once we'd had our big cuddles he went and sat on the carpet quite happily.

My poor little baby has a horrible cold he's really snuffly and was struggling to breathe in the night and when he cries his voice is all hoarse. I have some Little Me aroma rub which is quite good but may look for some nasal drops this afternoon for him.
All the other mums at the school have been cooing over him saying how gorgeous and smiley he is! I know that he's the most wonderful baby, obviously, but its nice to see that thats being appreciated by other people!
