Bloody mothers! They are great in some ways, but completely crap in others! How's the little man?

justbeme · 01/09/2007 17:49

Proud mummy alert!
Isnt it lovely when they start smiling and cooing - its like we're having a little private conversation!!
Lucy does it alot now - I can't remember my DD1 being so alert at 7 weeks.

loonylovegood · 01/09/2007 17:51

My dd has been having a tantrum for the past hour! Shrill high pitched screaming constantly!!AAARRRGGGHHH!!!

Have to play scrabulous now to calm down!

hello....thanks for the words of support y'all.

made it out to the park by way of school uniform shop and had a panic attack, which was nice. didn't really calm down though and stomped off with dd after trying to talk to dh and him just not getting it. so i had a very brisk walk and cleared my head a bit.

just tried feeding again and she is still playing up. she keeps moving herself so she is either facing down (so nipple is out the side of her mouth) or wants to lie flat on her back with her head to the side. both of which really hurt.

tea's here...later

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 17:56

she's now having a major paddy...purple and screaming....cos I won't let her have her own way

loonylovegood · 01/09/2007 17:59

Oh daisy, you poor thing! Maybe you should eat your tea and go to bed with dd. You can get some sleep and feed comfortably at the same time xxxx

I am going to punch my dp! He refuses to do cloth nappies! He's changed ds twice today and both times has put a disposable on him!

My dd hates them too! I put one on her yesterday and she said "No, I don't like this one, I want a Winnie the Pooh one!" and went and got herself a Huggies pull up!

OP posts:
daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 18:17

LOL holly it'll maybe help with the potty training!

sleep isn't the problem really since she sleeps all night.

That feed wasn't too bad, but she's better on the right than the left...it's the pre-bedtime one that'll be horrible.

anyway, enuff moaning, are we finishing our game of scrabulous?

faylisa · 01/09/2007 18:31

found you! now i need to catch up...

Charlie999 · 01/09/2007 18:51

Oohh Daisy....As a FF I have no advice I'm afraid other than ((((hugs))))

As someone that suffers from panic attacks and anxiety....did you speak to the GP yesterday? My AD's have an "anxiety profile"...which really help me...I wonder if yours do

You clog up this thread as much as you need to...

Look after yourself...your DCs need you

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 18:57

Cheers Charlie...i didn't call the docs , but i will do first thing on monday....meanwhile i will try to beat you all at scrabulous by way of therapy!!

Charlie999 · 01/09/2007 18:57

will finish later...dog walkies! and dinner!

faylisa · 01/09/2007 19:06

daisy - sorry you are having a hard time. For something that should be so natural, BF can be total hell!

Am now a scrabulous addict too!!!!

sputnik · 01/09/2007 19:28

Holly, remind your DH of thee price of nappies!
(your move btw)

We are all sick here

annobal · 01/09/2007 19:29

Hi everyone, sorry I've been awol for a few days, I'm reading a really good book (am currently really into Philippa Gregory's tudor novels).

We had a horrible morning - just as we were about to leave to go to the seaside for the day, DS2 poured boiling water over himself (actually, I left a thermos of hot tea in reach ).

So we spent the morning in a&e and luckily they are only surface burns but he has a really impressive bandage and a few blisters to boot. Am feeling like a very bad mother!

Daisy, poor you. I really don't know what to suggest just lots of sympathy and hugs.

Am now off to catch up. Px

annobal · 01/09/2007 19:31

Got the scrabulous invites and am now torn between book and pooter

Oh my exciting life

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 19:44

oh annobal, sorry about your DS. I hope he's ok and not in too much pain.

try not to beat yourself up about it, accidents happen!

sputnik sorry you're all poorly. I hope you're not doing all the running around and are managing to get soem rest yourself!

annobal · 01/09/2007 19:47

Thanks Daisy, I think I will dwell on this one for a while...

I can't work out how to play scrabulous

annobal · 01/09/2007 19:48

Sorry you are all ill Sputnik. Hope you get better soon

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 19:49

annobal, i got my green essence today. Can DD have it too, or is it just for me?

Jamantha · 01/09/2007 20:15

Hugs to daisy, sputnik and annobal. Hope things go better for you all soon.

I'm exhausted after afternoon's activity and going for a drink (albeit coke) in the park with friends to introduce them to DD. DH is making fish finger sarnies for tea, and we got cheap cake from Waitrose, (4 cakes at 5p each!) so that should perk me up, even if the cakes cancel out the exercise

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 20:19

last feed of the day went OK. I kept taking her off and she seemed to get the hint. The feed was relatively pain free as well....Yay

still feel like i want to run away and hide though

tomorrow will be better, this is just a bad day.

trendaverter · 01/09/2007 20:20

I suck at scrabble, EVERYONE is beating me

At least I came 776 in the EASY sudoku competition, I can feel good about that [sarky emoticon]

daisyandbabybootoo · 01/09/2007 20:24

LOL TA...I can't do sudoku, my brain just doesn;t get it.

trendaverter · 01/09/2007 20:37

I'm gonna blame the tiles. Even the wildcards. I just keep getting a raw deal. That's it.
