foxybrown · 02/09/2007 14:09

I dont have time for bleedin' scrabble me!!

Daisy, could you express it all off?

my lo was has been doing lots of fussing, pulling off etc etc. i think she has a snotty nose so used saline drops last night. worked a treat. wondering if it would help your DD? wont do any harm

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 14:15

she is a very snotty child, so i have to clear her nose at least once a day anyway...usually just poke around with a twist of tissue though....she no like it one bit tho

I think I've cleared things now, but still not sure whether it is due to blocked duct or if it's the thrush.

Trying to get the thrush sorted out first and hopefully all else will fall into place. hopefully seeing BF counsellor this week as well.

Blardy hell this is hard. Serves me right for being so smug in the early weeks!

How's your lot Foxy? have you done your name labels and hemming of trousers etc? I've still got seven legs to go!

foxybrown · 02/09/2007 14:21

my lot are grand thanks! wont tell you how much sleep i got last night ...

hemming? oh no, i turn waistbands over

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 14:25

oooh i never thought of that. saves on the lovely hem line when trousers need letting down halfway through the year!

I have 4 children to care for. They are feral enough.

I don't want to be spending the 10 hours I sleep of a night on the pc!

Oh, I'm bragging now! [smug bitch emoticon]

Jamantha · 02/09/2007 14:41

I feel so old I'm playing scrabble with my nephew on FB. Last time I played a game of anything with him I had to go easy to give him a chance. But now he's all grown up he's able to really give me a run for my money

annobal · 02/09/2007 14:51

Now that's just not fair ! Well done tho - i'm pleased that ds is now only wakin once at around 2am

Daisy, green essence has to be diluted - use a 30ml dripper bottle and fill it up with a new bottle of spring water. Put 5 drops in. You take 7 drops 4-5 times a day, dd takes 5 drops 3 times a day (it won't hurt her if you give it to her whenever you take it though.

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 15:04

thanks annobal.

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 15:06

jus looking at the bottle annobal, i thought it was ready to take already???

annobal · 02/09/2007 15:10

The one I get from Neil's Yard needs to be diluted - that's the Australian Bush Flower essences. The one you've got is the same isn't it?

Anyone know where I can get a cheap metal helicopter from?

annobal · 02/09/2007 15:24

Is it 'normal' for babies to start hitting things with one hand/arm only? DS seems to use his right arm only to hit things with (still waggles his left though). Only concerned because of the shoulder dystocia...

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 15:28

can't help annobal, but maybe you should mention it to your HV or doc. did he have shoulder dystocia when he was born? is there a risk of complications with it?

the green essence i've got is this it's made by bush biotherapies and is a 15ml bottle

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 15:31

cheap bumhugger nappies here

I've got a few yf these and thet are great for overnight. no boosting with a rikki wrap lasting 12 hours plus here.

tis a good price indeed!

annobal · 02/09/2007 15:39

Yes - he had shoulder dystocia at birth and it can be a complication - he has a muscle knot on his neck which we're seeing a physio for so this could be related - I'll mention it at appt on Wed.

Looks like you don't need to dilute it - I'd just follow what they say on their website. It is different from the Neil's Yard one.

annobal · 02/09/2007 15:41

Ooh - it is so tempting Daisy, they're so cute.

daisyandbabybootoo · 02/09/2007 15:55

i love them and the are made in the UK as well (in the wilds of scotland) so good for local economy.....well that's my justification anyway!!

this site doesn't have them, but you can get an orange lined one..ideal for anyone who can't deal with staining!!
