A place to catch up on what's happening with our November 2019 babies.

Hi @Weathergirl1 I am also interested in how you got on and wondered if I could join your conversation!
I could have written your post. DD is 9 weeks. She’ll sleep for hours on me, out and about etc but the minute she is put in her Moses basket I hear those same noises and ‘ping’ eyes wide open!
I too have a fast let down so she practically drowns when I feed her.
I saw a lovely lactation consultant and she advised the ‘koala hold’ which helps gravity wise! And also to press down on your boob to decrease the speed of the milk (I honestly thought our bodies would have worked this out by now and would adjust the supply 🤷🏻‍♀️). The koala hold definitely works but is a bit fiddly.
In contrast, my feeds with my son were lovely and relaxed and he loved his Moses Basket 😩

I've just looked up the koala hold @LouH1981 my little one has had some awful wind a lot of sick recently so I'll give that position a go. It's not as bad as when my dd has reflux, he's not crying all the time but seems to have a constant stream of puke! Hasnt affected night sleeping yet, day time naps are terrible though, he will only nap in a sling or on me squished in.

I've only had 1 c-section, first was a vaginal birth, but it's definitely been harder second time round in terms of physical recovery.

Hi all - sorry for the slow response, I've not had time to check on MN since the end of last week! So the LLL group was lovely - not at all pushy and super friendly. I spoke to several other mums and the lady we had private BF support with previously (she's a LLL leader too as well as doing private support). I've been block feeding since Friday and I think it's working... It's not been easy as I'm terrified of getting mastitis but you can't completely drain both sides, so it's been a case of massaging to relieve the pressure on the side he's not feeding from, but I've noticed today that i'm not feeling really engorged which is a bit of a result. DS did get sprayed in the eye this morning which he wasn't that keen on, but on balance I don't think it's coming out anywhere near as forcefully as it was.

I think we're also getting less sick ups - certainly haven't had another projectile vomit (she says, completely jinxing herself...).

@LouH1981 hello 👋 of course you can join in! I'm sorry to hear your recovery has been not so good (haven't actually seen your other thread yet) - I feel like I've been pretty lucky with how it's gone for me but I don't have an older child to run around after! Are you on iron tablets? I had low iron after the section and the GP said I should definitely have them if I was bf-ing. I also take vitamin D & C and omegas - our bodies are definitely in need of proper support still!

Does anyone else have quite a late bedtime? We usually go up around 10/11 down for midnight and he'll sleep until about 7 but I'm worried I'll regret this down the line. At the moment DH is working late shifts so it's been left that late so he can help.

@amazedmummy I don't think it matters as much at this age. I usually let baby sleep on me until I go to bed around 10/11. Some nights he screams until I take him to bed at about 8.

My dd didn't have a bedtime as such until 8/9 months and at 4 she's no fuss 🙂

Was there a Facebook group? I didn't join during my pregnancy for various daft reasons. I've name changed but been here the whole one.
