DON'T FORGET THE SHIRT

Good luck

elkiedee · 21/08/2007 09:34

Ellie, hope you've made it in as I post this and that you've survived the making drinks for a meeting. I never liked having to do that very much.

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2007 10:07

Morning all.

Good Luck Ellie, although you will be there by now and up to your eyes in PG Tips!

Maveta, sorry you had a bit of a rough night. I hate it when I can't sleep. I end up thinking too much.

All ok here.

B and I are at each others throats again . She just knows how to press my buttons.

Have a good day all. xx

mammyjo · 21/08/2007 10:35

Morning all. SOL, I had to laugh when you said you and B were at each others throats! Really reminds of my own situation with ds!! Some days he is brilliant, but others I could cheerfully throttle him!

Maveta, hope you have a better nights sleep tonight.

Eca, what a nightmare evening for you. As I have found out, you can choose your friends but not your family! Hope it all settles down for you, your brain must have been fried! Mmmmm, candyfloss.............

WO, thanks for your email back. Think I may have sent mine to you twice, as first it wouldnt send, and now its showing twice in my sent folder.

And, well I never! The bf counsellor has finally phoned me back and is coming out to see me tomorrow morning. Success at last! Really hoping she can help as it is worse again this morning.

Have a good day all xx

Well, the light supper consisted of five courses. Miniature sweet peppers stuffed with soft cheese, fancy crisp things which looked like pot pourri and tasted pretty much like pot pourri, infact thinking about it now could well have been the pot pourri, followed by sliced mozarella and tomato in french dressing followed by the most succulent salmon ever served with couscous and roasted vegetables, salad, avocado dip and french bread, followed by lemon souffle with summer berries soaked in cointreau followed by the cheeseboard, followed by whiskey. All consumed alongside vats of wine.

So all in all a very "light" supper, ho hum. Just a little something.

Eca would be great to meet you and family, we are staying near Wroxham/ North Walsham, and meeting up with Ellie on thursday. Depending on the weather being ok ish we are planning on Lowestoft, or if better for ellie we can travel down to Southwold.

Off on travels again now to meet another family friend who runs a nearby hotel, complete with a lifesize statue of a cow and a pig.

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2007 15:28

Pinions, that meal sounded divine. I love those mini peppers with soft cheese.

Had K weighed, and she has put on 8 ounces in 2 weeks, so a slight increase (as 6 ounces in 2 weeks). HV still not concerned at all, and tbh I am not either now. I think K was just a bit under the weather yesterday, as she has not been puky/hiccupy or grizzly today. She is never going to be big - tall maybe as dh is 6'4", but I am 5'6" and 8 stone!

PMSL, as she has just rolled over from back to front and back again, which totally took her by surprise!

Right, of to take B to her swimming lesson, so back later. It is SO quiet on here today.

normabutty · 21/08/2007 16:07

Sorry about the family problems Eca.

Glad K is doing well with her weight SOL.

Hope the tea making went ok Ellie.

lol @ your dh & the cat Maveta and hope you didn't lose all your washing

Erm I can't remember anything else cos I thought i posted earlier but it seems i didn't ...I must have forgotten

normabutty · 21/08/2007 16:08

Oh good luck with bf cousellor MJ - hope she can sort you out (that doesn't sound very pleasant but you know what I mean!)

Hope you're having a good holiday Pinions, meal sounds huge...not too sure about the pot pourri course tho..don't think it's gonna catch on

EllieK · 21/08/2007 16:12

I AM RUBBISH AT MAKING THE COFFEE

Tea wasn't too bad, tho none had been drunk when I cleared up after

but the coffee. well, it's a filter machine thingy, and I had no idea. couldn't see how it was gonna get through lid of the pot below so took lid off. coffee all over worktop. eventually got the handyman guy to show me how to do it

Sorry to everyone else, but bumble's Lucy is soooo my fave bubba on this thread (aside from P of course ) She is ssssssooooooooooo scrummy - all that tufty hair and massive cheeks - How many chins does she have, bumble? How many thigh rolls? I could just eat her all up ..... more pics please - she looks so sweet in the Bumbo!

Bollocks to all this putting on weight crap - all that matters is that your babies are happy & healthy .... Can't you tell I've absolutely no idea what P weighs - haven't seen HV / been to clinic in weeks and weeks and weeks .....

Had my haircut today - Hurrah! Haven't had it done for goodness knows how long (8 months!?? ) Feels soooo much better! The people in the hairdressers were sooooo lovely - they took it in turns to hold P, she loved all the attention! Brought an Anniversay gift for DH (our 5 year Wedding Anniversary on Friday), need to make a card .... Mmmmmmmmm ..... peeing it down with rain here ..... P is talking to herself under her fave mobile atm, bless!!

WaspElly · 21/08/2007 16:28

hi ladies, sorry been awol. DH did the Fastnet race (and finished!!)so tail end of last week was down in drenched Devon. the disrupted week saw Tamsin waking 4 times a night and Cameron up at least once too ! hes currently watching Fireman Sam DVD whilst I feed T. She's struggling with teeth moving around in there as she's definately chomping down on anything near her mouth. Hope everyone's well. bit gutted today as the agent won't even show round us our perfect house as they've several offers in already...not sure if they're allowed to do this as this our first time selling, so hardly experienced. Anyone?

CaptainDippy · 21/08/2007 16:30

Actually, no, I take that back - I've met Joe in RL and he is pretty darn scrummy too! Come to think of it, Ange's Izzy is adorable .... Mmmmmmm ... .....

Shit.

I think I'm broody!!

Somebody slap me!!

CaptainDippy · 21/08/2007 16:32

They have to let you look round WE - What if you have stacks of cash and want to offer them loads, huh!!? Great to see you anyway - hurrah for your DH - I am in awe - Sorry it has been a disuptive time for you and your LO's though .... hope you can get back to "normal" now you are home!

Pesha - @ D's tooth btw - 1st on the thread!!

WaspElly · 21/08/2007 16:38

Ta CD

On a similar vein woulhat would folks reccommend: put our house up then look to buy, or wait for us to have an accepted offer before putting ours up or somewhere in between??

CaptainDippy · 21/08/2007 16:39

I'd personally put up house and then look to buy - but have a quick reccy 1st (if that makes any sense??) I've never bought a house & sold another at the same time either!! Mmmmmmmm.....

Eddas · 21/08/2007 16:42

hiya, WE, i wouldn't look tilyou've sold. Or only look to see what sort of thing you can afford. If you look before you sell you are more likely to get disappointed if the house sells before you can buy. Also, you may accept less for your just to get the one you like.

And you aren't in a postion to buy until yours is sold so no one will accept an offer on a new house from you until yours is sold.

hi everyone

Kneehighinnappies · 21/08/2007 16:46

Hey CD

Ok now that is over a done with let's see, where am I.
I am going through a bit of personal healing time at the Mo so I am being even more slack at posting and reading on here than usual.

I was thinking the other day has anyone heard from Smole or Vio and where is MIABT these days?

Other than that Hi everyone else, I have left it a bit late in the day for reading through post's as I have to run off and do the Dt's feed. Kisses and Hugs to EVERYONE!!!!!!!

Kneehighinnappies · 21/08/2007 16:49

Oh and if there is any group msn I may be along one night this week, depends how Knackered I am. All this rain means I have to spend time with the dC'S!

Pinions · 21/08/2007 17:03

Ellie the butler has just informed me that you rang my lady.

Have returned your call, weather is set to be good for thurs according to the bbc, so the beach it is if thats ok for you still. We can have a chat and let DP do the hard work of childminding etc etc. So we have got a choice of either Lowestoft or if its easier for you Southwold, or even Yarmouth if you fancy a change??? Even if it rains i'm sure we'll find something to do or maybe just somewhere that serves candyfloss!!! or those honeycomb thingies for me .

Eca can you make any of those, Lowestoft/Southwold/Yarmouth??

Am trying to think of places that are easy for you this time as opposed to the other way round, as you always seem to pull the short straw!!

Bressingham and banham are both quite close to you but can save those for some other time perhaps?

The place in wroxham I think is the wroxham barns and we have kind of exhausted that one already and also thats the furthest for you anyway.

Brain exhausted so catch up later, well done on the tea and coffee making!!

Norma i agree not sure whether the pot pourri crisps will catch on either .

Pinions · 21/08/2007 17:15

Before I forget also wanted to say

Maveta Fake sun cream - I have always used Elizabeth Arden costs around £20 but lasts for ever and is fab, highly recommended. I only really use that one now.

And also thanks for the tip on rubbing the eyes just under the lid. T had always had very gunky eyes every morning so I tried your method and lo and behold the next morning it all just seemed to come out in one go, his eyes were chocca with gunk and then disappeared totally and has not returned. So thank you. .

If anyone is still having the constipation problem, we asked the chemist about this and he suggested to add a teaspoon of sugar th their bottle, either milk or water. T just done huge poo so he must have been right. .

Thats all folks!!!

AngeG · 21/08/2007 17:16

KHIN - Had an update from Smole the other day see below

Have just been texting Smole for an update.

"Jesse now putting on weight 9lbs 10oz. But has high blood pressure to his lungs & needs to go to London for a detailed scan"

"Turned out he wasn't keen on milk so now has it flavoured with banana nesquik!"

I asked how she was she replied "Fine. Jesse is developing the same as normal babies at the mo. Could do without all the hospital visits"
