Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
normabutty · 21/08/2007 20:26

Nice to 'see' you Bramshott!!! You sound very busy indeed. Hope you're all well

Bramshott · 21/08/2007 20:37

Ooh and can someone tell me, as I popped on here to lurk briefly last week - how did Peter's op go? I've been thinking of them.

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2007 21:09

Hi ladies

Bramshott, lovely to see you. I was thinking you hadn't been around for an age, and now I can see why.

Hope everyone is ok.

CD, hope dd2 has calmed down. B was a nightmare again this evening.

Katy, how did the interviewing go?

xx

leakyR · 21/08/2007 21:09

Think Peter's op was a success. There was even an article in the Telegraph about all the mumsnetters following his story.

Gotta go G is grizzling again; he has all day - he's teething and starting with a cold. Dh has "man-flu" so I'm blaming him!

Pinions · 21/08/2007 21:12

Huge post lost fantastic.

Right ellie c u thurs. Looking forward to it and you can show us all the highlights as we'll be in your neck of the woods hee hee. Candyfloss all round and nice weather please!

Bramshott, pleased to hear about O and the bottle I daren't give up bf until I know t will definitely take a bottle of formula if that makes sense?

Off to keep the olds company.

My dad has got a "bouncy" keyboard and its fab - totally irrelevant piece of information for you all.

EllieK · 21/08/2007 21:13

I WANT A BOUNCY KEYBOARD

OP posts:
normabutty · 21/08/2007 21:14

Hi SOL

Leaky - grrr @ man flu

Pinions - wtf is a bouncy keyboard????

EllieK · 21/08/2007 21:15

I'm thinking it's where the buttons are soft and 'bouncy'?

OP posts:
normabutty · 21/08/2007 21:16

So it's not like the whole keyboard bounces as you type

MaureenMLove · 21/08/2007 21:17

Sorry to hijack, but I was looking for sexonlegs! Just to say a BIG thankyou for sending the giraffe. Received this morning and delivered to baby shortly after! She looked a bit shocked to see her 'bad bob' with a head on again!
Thanks!
Hijack over - as you were!

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2007 21:27

Fantastic MaureenMLove. I thought perhaps there was another postal stike on as we had no post, and we usually get something, even if it is garbage.

I am so pleased and I hope she is making a good recovery.

Pinions/Ellie, enjoy your meet up.

Leaky, hope you are not in for another pants night.

Hiya Norma, hope you enjoyed the stir fry.x

geordiemacminx · 21/08/2007 21:43

Hey ladies;

Hope you are all well.

Have been lurking the past few days - nothing really interesting to say to be honest!!

SOL, I saw the post about the giraffe, was just about to offer Charlies - if your dd notices hers is missing then just let me know as we have one.

I have emailed Vio today - she'll probably email back tonight as its usually when she gets access to the computer.

Have taken your lead maveta/WO and bought some dove holiday skin... so if I end up looking like an umpa lumpa then I will hunt you down!!!

Bumble - WO and I have our names down for waterbabies too - although its the Glasgow one.

Loved all the pics of the gorgeous babies - I keep trying to upload some more onto my profile but they are too big. My mum sent me a dvd today that she has been working on since C was born - clips from hospital, his first nappy change and other nice things, she even managed to get his first roll over onto his back from his tummy which is nice.

Pesha - hope you arent suffering too much with teeth.. Charlie is cutting his first one at the moment - he's suffering a wee bit bless him but we are just keping him topped up with calpol and also the calpol tething gel which he loves - think it may be the ethernol (aka alcohol) in it.. wonder where he gets that taste from.

Rightyo - I've rambled enough for now.

xxx

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2007 21:51

Hi GMM, you haven't been on for an age have you?

Thanks for the offer of the giraffe. Becky hasn't noticed at all. She was away all last week which was ideal timing. Also, she has her favourites which I could never touch, but the giraffe was not a favourite. I was just thrilled to be able to help. Both MaureenMLove and the father of the little girl put in 20 pounds to the GOSH appeal, so 40 pounds for a toy giraffe.

geordiemacminx · 21/08/2007 21:55

Yeah, I saw the thread. I bought the giraffe more for me than Charlie

I had my mum staying most of last week so didnt get much time to post - well actually thats a lie, I had loads of time, its just she gets a bit narky if I spend too much time on line - cant think why

Sexonlegs · 21/08/2007 22:01

Right, off to bed. See you gorgeous ladies tomorrow. xx

elkiedee · 21/08/2007 22:51

Just had to catch up on the giraffe thread, how cool that mumsnetters were able to sort that out, and very kind of you SOL.

LOL at gmm, yes, I try to unglue myself from the keyboard when mum is visiting, though she usually stays with one of her sisters. Nice to see you back though.

Katy, was being on the interview panel interesting? Were you putting questions to candidates?

I met up with someone in the same position I was in back in April today - she's 5 days past her due date and being threatened with induction. I really hope N's baby comes of his/her own accord. Also bumped into someone who was active in my union branch with her own 10 month old on my way home, so that was interesting!

D's been a bit grizzly today and I think he must be teething, but he seemed much happier once we set off to go out, even during two rather stressful bus journeys.

normabutty · 22/08/2007 00:00

Ok think I may go to bed now...

Elkie - sending labour vibes to your friend.

Katy44 · 22/08/2007 07:01

morning
feeling a bit more normal today

Interviewing went OK except the one before lunch overran by an hour because of a candidate's disability that we didn't know about! That was fine but I still needed to come home at lunch time to express so we ended up keeping the next 2 waiting an hour too
GMM lol at upmpa lumpa, and that DVD your mum made sounds lovely!
Can't think of anything else, hope everyone is OK. Off to look for the giraffe thread!

Katy44 · 22/08/2007 07:04

oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
how lovely

Katy44 · 22/08/2007 08:41

where is everyone?

normabutty · 22/08/2007 09:15

I'm here! I'm here!

Morning Katy, glad you're feeling better!

Katy44 · 22/08/2007 09:21
