you'll find it works well in all eventualities, growth charts, eldest children, MILs, give it a try

maveta, thanks for the condolences. It sounds like a cliche but I really have realised how important your health is. We're all usually so healthy so our annoying bout of gremlins, plus posters on here feeling ill or with PND, plus of course Peter who was critical. Don't know what I'm trying to say but in the view of all that me not getting the job just doesn't seem that bad. (I have a job already, not playing down the situation if you don't, this is very different).

That made no sense, but sure you all get what I'm trying to say

Maveta - I would so love some sun! Please send us sunny vibes - esp last week in august when we are away.

Welcome Littlisthobo - that is some lurking you've been doing

Still more milk coming - can now feed without having to follow up with bottle although am feeding atleast every 2 hours.

Ernie is sat on my lap watching the moving adverts on mn!

Tea is in the oven, dh will be home late - so bathtime at 6.30pm then stories and bed. I bought myself a magazine today - and not a baby one

Am going to change my name slightly again!

Glass of champagne coming your way - in fact one for everyone after today

nutty hope you're ok if you do look at the site again.

Welcome littlesthobo.

Sorry Katy and Emma, hope you both get something even better than the jobs you didn't get.

Met up with 2 of my postnatal group and babies plus older child, in a cafe instead of the park. Nice cafe but not as relaxed as lounging on the grass with babies in wriggly mode. Danny and I walked part of the way home.

octoandflash - gladly send you all the sun! You can have too much of a good thing and I am ready for autumn already. I really like how here there are 4 very clear seasons and I do love Spring and Autumn. Love the name..

Katy - I thought you said disappointing poo at first and was pondering what that meant.. but disappearing poo has me just as confused?!

Went for my run! Absolutely knackered now and feel kind of spaced out.. Noah started looking tired at about 6.30pm so I started his bedtime routine but it´s almost an hour earlier than normal - very odd. He´s already asleep.. will he stay asleep? Who knows. I am suspicious of this change..

Katy (again!) lol - they were together 2 years.. think she kind of knew it but didn´t know it, iykwim, we´ve all been there I´m sure.. poor babe.

disappearing poo...well...
(do I ever talk about anything else at the moment?)
Smelt a nappy explosion so took T up to change it. Had a peek - nappy was clean
Went to wash my hands, by the time I got back, smell was worse. Had another peek. Poo had appeared
Hope Noah stays asleep, it's worrying when they change their routine isn't it?

Hi Elkie!

Katy - yes, very worrying.. just hope this isn´t a siesta and he´s then up late but, what can you do? Just enjoying the peace while I can. Having a baby really teaches you to live in the moment, doesn´t it?! lol at the poo - Noah does some killer farts that always used to have me convinced he´d pooed - now I know - his farts are deadly and there´s no confusing them with his relatively mild baby poo! Please someone tell me we don´t always discuss their bowel movements this much for the rest of their lives??! lol

Try and enjoy the distraction of being out with your friends oooggs - you´re doing such a good job, you really are. Sending hugs to you and sleeeeeepy thoughts to all your babies for tonight.

My luck has ended - he´s definitely awake..

Maveta, I can imagine our dcs being very indignant if we were discussing their bowel movements in 10 years' time, probably less, and rightly so.

oooggs, hope once you get out there you enjoy yourself, sorry that you feel teary.

Hi again and thanks for all your welcomes/advice/suggestions. Particularly into reading Beatrix Potter lazyemma, esp Peter Rabbit and evil Mr McGregor. Have just fed to sleep and have visitors from tomorrow till the weekend so will chicken out of implementing new regime till afterwards. Funnily enough went to local Children's Centre and they were talking about put down / pick up so quite into that for daytimes. Anything to save my shoulder being crushed to smithereens by 16lbs of baby! Speak soon x LH

Re chairs at 6 months + you can sit them in high chair or I used a baby walker - NOT as a baby walker - but as a fun seat to sit him in with me in the kitchen, garden etc with toys to play with. For a comfy seat prob just stick them in pushchair but TBH I think at 6 months they dont tend to want to do much sitting around looking at things!!

Dp is taking laptop to work tonight and we cant remember broadband password for me to get on computer so this is me for the night which is probably just aswell as i need an early night but always seem to get caught up on msn or reading a thread!

Oh and hello littlesthobo LOVE the name - #maybe tomorrow I'll wanna settle down, until tomorrow I'll just keep moving on# - I'll be singing that for days now!

Evening all.

Welcome littlesthobo. I think you were asking about bouncy chairs. I didn't know they had an age limit tbh. My niece sat in ours the other day (she is 17 months) to have her lunch and it was fine. It is a Chicco - quite old - but is great as you can change the angle on it.

oooggs, I am so sorry that you had such a rough night. Really hope you have gone out and are having a lovely time petal.

Norma, don't know if you are lurking, but hope you are ok.

Katy, pmsl at disappearing poo! Sorry about the job btw. Same to you Lazyemma. There will be others.

Maveta, yu are so good going out running. I am going to try and go to Body Balance tomorrow night.

Totally forgotten everything else. Hope you have all had good days.

I had a FAB day. Went to Salisbury races with my parents and a couple of their friends who I have known for years too. K was an angel and slept for a lot of it. Only won on one horse, but better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick as they say!

Lots of love to everyone. xx

Daytime naps - Danny has them but I put him down as and when he dozes off on my lap, or he dozes off in the pram when we're out and about. Sometimes he has a snooze on the playmat too.
