Couldnt see a post natal group so have taken it upon myself to start one! Will obviously still keep up on antenatal also until babies have all arrived!

Shall we start a list of arrivals?

@boodles101 @DustyDoorframes Thanks for the tips, will give then a try. It's a bit different this boy stuff!

Geegrl19 · 23/09/2019 09:43

@IVEgottheDECAF I only have two others to get to school, have to leave by 8, and they're a lot older so get themselves ready (is school hols here at the mo tho so got another two weeks to get my act in gear ).

I'm not quite sure how I'm ever going to leave the house on time again though as it is currently taking me forever! I know it all just falls into place, but can't quite remember how.

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/09/2019 10:28

Mine are 11, 10, 6 and 2! 11 year old leaves at 8, needs alot of prompting to get out on time and has still managed to forget things today Blush

@IVEgottheDECAF I take my hat off to you organising four other children. Mine are 15 and 11. Miss 11 is a total space cadet and needs nagging ten times to do anything and then still forgets Confused

Miss 15 was not impressed the other day as we were out and some older ladies kept asking questions but looking at her obviously thinking baby was hers, lol

Hi all, joining the postnatal group as babe is here.

@IVEgottheDECAF I'm with you on the early starts Mon-Fri to get DC(age 4 and 6) to school but luckily have another week before I need to do them myself.

Am on a pink cloud of happiness still with baby P (5days old), she had cramps on the first night home but after meconium passed she has been very rested.

Had a bit of a scare that DS may have worms - up crying in agony through the night since we got home that his anus was itchy and painful, however it seems to be something else and doctor agreed this morning. Thank goodness, such a worry with newborn baby.

I love babies so much, I love the beauty of new life. After the birth I said never again but I'm already forgetting that!

Stroan · 23/09/2019 14:54

@ivegothedecaf I genuinely don't know how you do it!

I've been so spoiled by DH having 6 weeks off, baby has his best feed at 6-7am and then we have a couple more hours sleep. That will have to stop next Tuesday when he goes back to work and I'll have to do the nursery run myself 3 days a week. I've already warned nursery she won't be there on time!

R slept for a four hour burst last night, but then was awake for most of the next four hours! And my boobs are not ready for a four hour sleep so I woke up drenched.

@challengeyourreality congratulations! I sort of get it, I'm really loving the newborn stage this time. Baby suddenly seems huge and.im.already missing my tiny wee newborn. But definitely done!

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/09/2019 15:38

I keep having to remind myself of the pain of pregnancy and birth! BabyDECAF also seems huge. I wish they stayed small til you were ready for the next stage! Need to get dp to book snip and take away the what if?

@ivegotthedecaf baby is now the same size as DD was when she was born. I have no idea how I birthed her. He's putting on 10-11oz a week and I've just realised is nearly too big for some of the outfits I was saving until he was big enough. DD gained weight very slowly so this is all new to me.

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/09/2019 16:23

The upto one month next sleepsuits are a dead fit on the feet now Sad luckily the mothercare stuff is bigger!

easterbuns1 · 23/09/2019 16:40

Baby Easter is out if most of her newborn stuff already at 3 weeks due long legs, big feet and cloth nappies. She gained 10oz in the 9 days between her last two weigh ins and is definitely going to be a chunk like her siblings were.

We seem to be in good routine now, two older ones pretty much organise themselves but we're always all dressed and organised by 8.30. I think I have, as everyone suggested, been overdoing it though as I'm starting to get pretty sore pelvis and scar again, although scar seems to be healing beautifully.

I am generally reading posts in the middle of the night but not remembering to reply.

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/09/2019 16:52

I didnt even buy any newborn stuff!

I think babyDECAF has been the biggest thread baby so far at 9lb1oz?

Feeling really emotional again today was fine until ten minutes ago and burst into tears for no reason only because she looks so cute!
She hasn't had a poo for 24 hours so I'm panicking a bit, it doesn't seem to be effecting her and the midwife did say to me it's fine for them to go 3-4 days I changed THe teats on her bottles yesterday so it may be that .
Anyone else have a girl and find brown blood in their nappy ? I googled and it says it's normal due to reduction in hormones, I seem to panic at the slightest thing!!
Been to my mums and she asked me "Are babies supposed to breath that quick it doesn't look right "- thanks mum for putting that in my head !

Hsunshine · 23/09/2019 18:20

Yesterday I put my baby in 0-3 months at 2 weeks old. When he was born he wore tiny baby! Has deff outgrown newborn size now

Babies breathe funny the first few weeks, takes a while to settle, mine is often panting

IVEgottheDECAF · 23/09/2019 18:21

Dipsy a friend warned me about that when i had my dd, it didnt happen with her though. No medical person ever mentioned it to me though!

OP posts:
Lavellan · 23/09/2019 18:24

Yes dipsy my girl had a few nappies with false period. Now she's got baby acne a couple weeks later, poor thing all those hormones!

Megan2018 · 23/09/2019 19:20

@Dipsy77 Felicity had some blood in nappy, midwife at delivery warned me to look out for it as she had very swollen labia when she came out. She now has a snotty mucus coming out which is apparently another sort of show so watch out for that. Then we had the orange “brick dust” in her wee from Urates as the milk changed too.
Oh and she also pants when asleep!

Dipsy77 · 23/09/2019 19:32

Thanks all just need her to poo now and I will feel better Smile

Littlehouseinthebigcity · 24/09/2019 05:29

I can officially graduate into this group now :) Catherine was born Monday morning by CS. Weighed in at 8lb 3oz. (Her big sister was 6lb 3oz so this feels massive). So far she is doing fab, sleeping like a champ and feeding every two hours or so. Unfortunately the other babies on the ward didn't all get the ward so she's had a whole lot more sleep than I have!

IVEgottheDECAF · 24/09/2019 06:33

Welcome littlehouse!

Welcome to the world little Catherine!

kyles101 · 24/09/2019 10:59

Congratulations!!

Puglover88 · 24/09/2019 16:24

@Littlehouseinthebigcity congratulations! Our babies are birthday buddies! Also graduating into this thread now! Bit of a traumatic labour to say the least but baby is healthy and happy!

How long does the intense pain from c-sections last, those who had them? Today is horrible, sitting up to get out of bed is horrendous!

boodles101 · 24/09/2019 17:17

Twins are 5weeks 1 day and Alex has outgrown tiny baby and gone into first size. Erin is still in tiny baby but doesn't get lost in it like before.
Congrats to the new babies born!
Pullover the day after csection is the absolute worst, it will get better day by day. Try to make sure you are getting up to move as that will help recover but obviously don't do too much. I felt much better by day 5. Take care of your back as I found it incredibly sore after being hunched over to compensate for the incision!

boodles101 · 24/09/2019 17:17

Pullover?!! That should have been puglover88

Exitstrategist · 24/09/2019 17:46

Day 5 after c section you will start to feel normal!
