Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
magnolia74 · 30/09/2007 13:42

Oh I always come on to catch up, read the messages but get sidetracked and then don't write anything

Eli, I hope this winter will be much better for you than last year xx
Bp, Our oldest cat is 15 and I am dreading him having to be put to sleep

Ds1 is still really full of cold, it's been 3 weeks now and it's not getting better his nose is bleeding because it's so sore and I think he has conjunctavitis (sp!) Off to gp tomorrow.

I am still searching for a kind of uplifting sexy underwired nursing bra but the only places are in America. How long does it take for a parcel from there to here do you think?

Elibean · 30/09/2007 14:02

Ah, thanks for the good wishes all - I hope we all have a good winter

dd2 has another cold, just to keep up with dd1, and a very nasty sounding cough - however, she's crawling at speed, eating more than dd1, and generally full of beans. Am grateful, if knackered

Magnolia, poor ds's nose, hope he's better soon xx

Elibean · 30/09/2007 14:03

ps parcels from US IME take about a week, or a bit less if you're lucky. Sounds worth it - I just grabbed a couple of non-nursing ones off the rack at M&S in desperation as none of my old ones fit anymore, and am not inspired

magnolia74 · 30/09/2007 14:30

ok will have a look on Ebay see what they got.

accessorizewithbabysick · 30/09/2007 21:44

Magnolia, have you tried Figleaves for bras, I have a nice one from Anita which is underwired and I feel great in it. Freya also do one which is avail from bravissimo. I'm pretty much wearing underwire all the time now as ds only feeds morning and evening but I only have one bra that still fits and I suspect it doesn't really. I don't seem to have anything to wear this winter from underwear up - my boobs are bigger, feet are bigger, bottom half smaller, nothing pre-ds2 fits.
Godzilla, I hope your diyer calmed down over the weekend & dd got some naps in.
Meant to be designing a website not on here, I'm off now!

magnolia74 · 30/09/2007 22:12

does the Anita bra show the breast pads? I looked at it but it seems almost see through?

Bella Materna do a fantastic slightly padded one that is great under tight t shirts but none over here

I am the opposite size wise, tonight I got into size 8 jeans that haven't fitted me for 4 years Feeding ds1 all the time is really making the weight drop off but more than I wanted

magnolia74 · 30/09/2007 22:13

Oh god, looked at the bravissimo and the smallest is a d cup I am down to a b now

FunkyGlassSlipper · 01/10/2007 08:43

I got measured last week and am now 38F The shop didnt have anything in that size.... I am wearing a 38E underwired at the moment as down to 2 feeds a day and plan to cut those down soon.

accessorizewithbabysick · 01/10/2007 12:47

Yup, anita one prob. would show pads, it's quite thin (I don't use them). Sorry! Freya's only for d upwards? Unnusual! What about the Elle McPherson ones, they're mean to be lovely and only go UP to a d cup so beyond the reach of buxom barmaids like me and (it seems FGS) as I am still 36H. How can I go from 8 feeds a day to 2 (actually I think it will be 1 today) and still look pregnant up top? Caught sight of myself in yoga mirror last week and couldn't take my eyes off my enormous knockers. Don't think that was the point of it really, I should have been correcting posture or something but it was so knackering I wanted to get to the relaxation session as soon as poss. Other lady there with 12 week old fell asleep bless

jabberwocky · 02/10/2007 08:31

AQ, how do you get by not using nursing pads? Am ready for real bras, too. Is anyone else still really lopsided? I've got at least one to two cup size difference still

FunkyGlassSlipper · 02/10/2007 08:42

I never use nursing pads either. I think that some people are just leaky and others arent

accessorizewithbabysick · 02/10/2007 09:15

nope, am not leaky just huge Does anyone want any washable nursing pads? I have some lansinoh ones sat here unopened, pack of 4.
sorting out the posting of 9 ebay items, v pleased with myself. I'll do the other 55 before christmas at this rate

magnolia74 · 02/10/2007 12:23

Ohh I will have them if no one else wants them?

accessorizewithbabysick · 02/10/2007 12:33

You're first magnolia, send me your address & I'll post em. I think I'm cattable, jabber managed to do it but I don't know how.

magnolia74 · 02/10/2007 12:46

I cant cat haven't paid my mumsnet fees. You can email me meprior74 at aol dot com

Indith · 02/10/2007 19:58

All this talk of bras! I keep looking at my old bras with longing. One day soon.....

Ds fed at 5am then didn't demand any milk until bedtime! Thought I was going to explode. At least that is the milk sorted for when he starts creche next week! (only one full day so only one feed needed, I'm not quite that much of a dairy establishment)

He has been sleeping much better recently. He got over the bronchitis and the baby I've not seen since we moved returned. He has been stuffing his face with food and for the past few nights has woken twice. Not back to sleeping through yet but progress!

FunkyGlassSlipupandyouredead · 02/10/2007 20:02

I'm only doing 2 breastfeeds a day now. She has yoghurt and cheese to eat for some dairy but doesnt have any other milk. She feeds about 20-30 mins morning and night. Do you think that is enough?

Having a very low day so if someone wants to come and tell me a funny story then go ahead.

Olihan · 02/10/2007 21:53

Sorry, FGS, no funnies from me, am also on a downer as ds2's sleeping is awful (more awful) AGAIN. He's picked up a bug which is making him snuffly and, I suspect, a bit headachy as ds1 had the same thing last week ans was moaning his head hurt. I'm so sick of getting up 5,6,7 times a night. A 'good' night at the moment is 3 wakings and I'm just fed up to the eyeballs with it. I'm ratty with ds1 and dd over really minor things, I'm shouting far more than I'd like and I just don't have the energy to do anything. Please tell me it will get better...................[hopeful]

I'm also still feeding 4 times a day, plus whatever he has at night, so average of 7 feeds a day, I suppose. No wonder my periods haven't come back yet!

Jabber, I'm lopsided too, mainly thanks to ds2's preference of my left boob - it's significantly bigger than the right, especially when he's due a feed.

I'm going to get some new bras now. All this talk has made up my mind. I've been wearing the underwired nursing one from Blooming Marvellous for months but I'm so bored of having the same bra on, day in, day out. There's a Bravissimo shop in Chester so I think I'll pop in over the weekend.

Mag, very of the size 8 jeans. I'm struggling to get into an 18 at the moment, mainly because I'm so tired I constantly crave (and eat!) chocolate.

Right, ds2 is moaning agaon, better go.

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo · 02/10/2007 23:20

Hi - just checking in and keeping this thread on the last 3 days list

Will now read everyones posts

jabberwocky · 03/10/2007 02:13

Left-sided here too

Is anyone else having a very clingy baby atm? Ds1 really didn't go thru this so much but ds2 is making up for it.

Sorry for the downer days I have a confessionto make - dh sleeps in the room with ds2 and I sleep in our bedroom. Ds2 wakes every 2 hours if I am in there but only once if I am not Dh gives him a bottle of ebm or formula when he gets up and he usually goes right back down.

accessorizewithbabysick · 03/10/2007 20:15

FGS
There was this agnostic, dyslexic, insomniac and he lay awake all night wondering if there really was a dog.
Makes me giggle anyway
DS2 now only feeding once per day (he just bites me if I try any other time) for 5-10 mins plus a 4oz bottle of formula at lunchtime so I wouldn't worry!
At work grrrr so best go and do some

LowFat · 03/10/2007 20:35

Hello Ladies,

DS finally started to crawl today - baton down the hatches.

Although he doesnt realise he can crawl - if he goes after something specific he just goes, but if you plonk him in the middle of the room he just sits there wondering why he's been moved

Elibean · 03/10/2007 21:23

AWBS, worked for me

FGS, Oli, anyone else having a downer (though I hope I'm out of date and you're not anymore) no brain to remember anything funny, but (())s if you want 'em...

...you might not, actually, because I've had my time of being the only non-sick one in our family and now have the sore throat/cough from hell and am thinking of nicking some of dd's medised

castlesintheair · 04/10/2007 16:29

Just checking in. FGS & Oli (and anyone else) hope you are feeling more chipper now. I'm sure it's the time of year.

We are bug city here but struggling on. I keep saying "if I was a man, I'd be in bed"
