Happy Birthday FRIZBE !!!

mustrunmore · 29/07/2007 20:05

at spa, unless you're forced into head massage

Csws household, thanks for a really really nice day. It was great. Far less stress than Hyde Park would've been, and the boys had a whale of a time And missing the train by 30 seconds worked a treat, as the next one gave dh enough time to meet us and carry ds1 home on his shoulders Thank God for the choc from the mug, Flame; went down a treat on the platform!
Er, ds1 was telling dh about his day. The playhouse is really truely actually enormous. And the swing is there all the time. And Pippa talks like this And a nice lady gave him bread, but you actually can eat dead octopus but only if you want to. And Emrys is th one with the stripey top, you know.

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 29/07/2007 20:14

hiya gals!!! thanks for the congrats - sorry I didnt fill you in sooner myself. we changed her na\me to Clare Rose. we did consider Bellatrix or maybe Luna but decided on the traditional route in the end. you know, I had no strong feelings about it, but I was so chuffed to have a wee girl - I always wanted a sister and now DD has one!!

DS is kissingf and hugging her all the time - and nearly killing her in the process!! His sleep regressed a bit but otherwise I think he has been ok about his new sister so far.

Havent been keeping up as HP and birth obsessed, but anyone else up the duff? how well are your toddlers talking?

Frizbe · 29/07/2007 20:24

Thanks girls have had lovely lunch out and then dh has brought food enough to feed us for the week in nibbles so truely stuffed!
CSWS Happy Birthday for Wed, though sure I should remember
MRM sounds like you had a great day today hope the rest of you enjoyed MRM's company too
Dew, awwwwww that's lovely
Catch ya'll tomorrow, when I'll be telling you to kick me off here to do some work!

FlameParakeet · 29/07/2007 20:26

Happy Birthday Friz!!!

Dew - still shuddering at the idea of a newborn and Emrys....

MRM's company was delightful

Jas · 29/07/2007 20:51

I like the new name Dewmeadow

No more up-the-duffers here (afaik)
Ds says mummy and no with various meaning and tone. Other than that Lots of very expressive babble, but not much I can understand.

Glad a good time was had this afternoon, at csws house and Frizbeville.

I'm shuddering slightly at the thought of ds and a newborn, and dd2 was 6 weeks old by this stage when I did it for real. No more babies for me

mustrunmore · 29/07/2007 21:01

Yep, Flame was so impressed with my company that she's asked me to sleep with her next weekend

Jas · 29/07/2007 21:04
Grin
CantSleepWontSleep · 29/07/2007 21:06

Speaking - yes, no (generally answers questions properly with one or the other), mummy, daddy, what's that (bit slurred, but distinguishable if you listen carefully), row row row (the boat), sweeee (for swing) and other occasional random words. Getting noticeably better day by day over the last couple of weeks.

Jas · 29/07/2007 21:07

Oh yes, we also get "ready steady go" at appropriate times.

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 29/07/2007 21:09

oo-er mrm and flame!!

FlameParakeet · 29/07/2007 21:10

DS's main faves "Yeah?!" whilst pointing at something he knows he's not allowed to play with, and "Wha'?!!"

MRM You didn't take much persuasion love - "Where you sleepin next week?" "With you"

Jas · 29/07/2007 21:11

DD1 has finished HP
Her mothers daughter, that one

2boysmacca · 29/07/2007 21:12

Happy Birthday Friz

Glad you all had fun today. Was picnic cancelled and moved to csws?

Concert was fab last night, although the heavens opened at about 8.30 so we packed up the pinic, put on our macs and made our way to the mosh pit I haven't enjoyed myself like that in ages, it was like stepping back pre-kids and I was myself all over again. Total submersion in my old life. Maybe it was the bottle of champagne and wine we guzzled Of course boys shattered the illusion by getting up at 5 when it was my turn to do the early shift.

Had a lovely morning, coffee and croissants in coffee shop, followed by a brisk shop in waitrose, lunch, 2 hour afternoon nap and then the park for the remainder of the afternoon. 3 loads of washing ironed, caught up with last episode of Jekyll, now off to bed.

Oh, last trainer session on Tuesday, already 6 weeks Dh says I can have another block of 6 {grin]

2boysmacca · 29/07/2007 21:14

Ds2 informed a friend's 6 month old this week 'no, naughty' although it came out "o, aughty"

mustrunmore · 29/07/2007 21:16

Jas, can you get dd1 to do me a brief summary of that one and the one before?! I'm waaay behind!

flame, you're a cheeky moo

csws; dd's speech is really good;heaps further on than lsat time I saw here, and way ahead of ds2. He's on mamma, dada ,no (for yes and no) and yesh means good bye He has also said door, gate, and cutie once or twice!

FlameParakeet · 29/07/2007 21:16

DS says more when he gets his thumb out of his mouth

mustrunmore · 29/07/2007 21:17

Ah, but he's cute!

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 29/07/2007 21:20

wow - thats impressive!!

I have various animal sounds, beginning sounds of some words, plus daddy, out (I shout it at cats all summer long),Bob (the builder), cheese, toast

note the lack of mummy!!! now that Ive written a list Im impressed by my wee man, though I ususlly have to translate him or provide subtitles!

Jas · 29/07/2007 21:26

dd2 would say more without the thumb in the mouth, too

mrm - She'll hae to tell you herself, I lost interest part way through number 1

ds is looking a bit backward with his two words then, but mummy and no seem to cover all he needs to say right now

What are you wanting summaries of?

whompingwillowinthedewmeadow · 29/07/2007 21:30

ds CAN say these words but generally points at things and says "dis"!!!

Jas · 29/07/2007 21:30

HP. You can do them for her next week.
