new thread, sorry for the unimaginative title!

where is all this milk going? she has been guzzling non-stop, and hasn't pooed since last night.....she'll be 2lb heavier tomorrow at ths rate, LOL.

bumperlicious · 10/07/2007 18:08

the vasospasm thing makes sense here too. I also had reynauds in my fingers and toes before being pg (though it got better during pregnancy) so that might make me more suceptible. if it is reynauds then it may not be bad latch at all (or at least not all the time)

"Keep in mind that Raynaud's is not caused by breastfeeding (anyone might have it) -- it simply has the potential to affect breastfeeding. For example, any person might have inverted nipples, which might or might not affect a mother's breastfeeding relationship (as this can make latching or sore nipples more of a challenge in the beginning). Raynaud's works the same way - anyone might have it coming into breastfeeding, and it might (or might not) affect the breastfeeding relationship if the vasospasms are triggered by bad latch, a sudden temperature change as baby unlatches, etc."

derlor · 10/07/2007 18:13

daisy, get ready for a poo explosion!!!!!!!

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 18:27

Evening! Yes derlor, you can still call me holly!

Sorry to all tht are having bfing problems. We have turned a corner here and are no longer using shields. Keep going everyone, it does get easier. I do what sputnik suggests and co-sleep, it is so much easier to do night feeds when lo is right next to you. Just lop out a boob and stick the baby on!

trendaverter · 10/07/2007 18:47

Will anyone think I'm lying if I say my LO is smiling already?
He has been for about a week (since he was a week old) but DH said no-one would believe me, they would say it was wind. But it's not wind, he grins when you poke his nose.

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 18:49

No TA I believe you, William has been smiling since he was a week old and I didn't say anything because I didn't think anyone would belive me! He has smiled at me, my mum and dp, proper full on grins! It's brill!

trendaverter · 10/07/2007 19:02

We clearly have very cheerful genes

derlor · 10/07/2007 19:04

i do believe you both.
ahhhh bliss is casa derlor....DS and DD1 still on holiday and DD2 in bed for the night, DH at work and i'm about to open a bottle of wine - just for 1 glass!!!!
oceans 13 was crap but the eye candy made up for the shitty plot

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 19:12

I was just about to feed william and crack open the vino myself! Hope you have a lovely relaxing evening derlor, it sounds delightful! I am v !

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 19:15

Alice didn't smile until she was 4 weeks old and didn't laugh for ages, she was a right miserable little cow!

I absolutely stink of sick! I can't find out where it's coming from though!

derlor · 10/07/2007 19:15

all i need is a massage and a facial to make it complete............but thats clearly NOT going to happen!! more wine instead

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 19:17

Go on derlor drink the whole lot!

derlor · 10/07/2007 19:17

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 19:18

derlor · 10/07/2007 19:20

Foxy's quiet today
and NO news from annobal or JBM - maybe 3 babies on the way??????

loonylovegood · 10/07/2007 19:21

The last 3! Then we can close down the other thread!

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/07/2007 19:25

DD smiled at about 2.5 weeks. She gave Dh a huge smile after she hadn't seen him for a day when he took my mum back to scotland....and I always get a full on grin when she's woken up, its great.

derlor · 10/07/2007 19:26

oh this should be the smiley, happy baby thread!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 10/07/2007 19:30

i'm finding it difficult to relax chez moi, as the state of the place is depressing.

just read DS his bedtime story....and DD joined us as she won't be put down...don't think she was impressed with Adolphus Tips.

So DS in bed nd DD fobbed off for the moment with a dummy. I should do some housework, but a large g'n't sounds much more my thang.

derlor...how have you got your LO in this routine already....we have no set time at all for feeding at the mo.

foxybrown · 10/07/2007 19:35

Hello.

Not quiet really, had to do school run, and meeting at school for DS2 Reception class. Awww! Then had my mum and sis here and cooked tea. They have gone now, so I can relax and have this baby!

Bumper, my mum sounds a bit like yours. You learn pretty quickly to ignore them and stay out of their way!

Hope everyone is OK. Good to see you all chatting away again! Hope tomorrows acupuncture will make me a fully-fledged member of PN!

derlor · 10/07/2007 19:36
