Oogs, I posted on the party thread - can't keep up though with 2 threads!

Hi WCL!!

octo · 20/06/2007 21:06

ds2 still awake...

I'm going back to the party!

oooggs · 20/06/2007 21:09

sokl - hope you all ok

WestCountryLass · 20/06/2007 21:17

Hiya SOSKL, is anyone watching Brothers and Sisters? I want to watch In Cold Blood but I want to see what is happening in BB too, dilemmas, dilemmas!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 20/06/2007 21:21

Blimey, the party is getting out of control!

All ok here. Finishing off my Pinot Grigio and then going to watch BB methinks.

WaspElly · 20/06/2007 21:32

Hmm parties ...
having a Manhattan here too - all children in bed - and Truck is too - under a blanket and having been read a story too.
(Look just go with the flow OK?)

I might even have husband home from abroad shortly - goodness - semblence of normality!

This drink is going down faaaar too wel. Now, do I finish off the bottle - well the whole 2" of it and hide it so DH doen't know why I'm quite so mellow & chilled out on his return - or not?

CaptainElliesDippyPA · 20/06/2007 21:56

Drink it. you must.

WaspElly · 20/06/2007 22:14

Oh heavens yes!

elkiedee · 20/06/2007 23:38

Well, I got home well over 5 hours ago, where did the evening go? 3rd of my 6 week antenatal classes today, talking about our birth experiences, some of the others had had a really really rough time actually. Stopped off in a couple of charity shops I didn't visit last week - I live in the east of an area with a very sharp east west divide and the class is in the posh bit to the west of the area, hence the good charity shops.

What I found bizarre this evening is that even after being trekked around north London - 5 buses and two walks of over a mile each, Danny started crying his eyes out and nothing other than another walk around the block in the pram would sort it (fortunately Mike has got over feeling ill and took him as I was shattered).

We had an online supermarket delivery and by the time we'd crammed the freezer and fridge and calmed Danny it was already about 9 pm, then my mum rang. Since then I've been watching TV, and I've finally skimmed this thread, but there's a lot of messages.

elkiedee · 20/06/2007 23:44

nuttygirl, hope you're feeling ok. Surely if your husband asks colleagues for advice it's about his own lack of self confidence, not what he thinks about you?

elkiedee · 20/06/2007 23:46

eeeeeeeeeeeeek 466 messages at the Party? falls off chair.

maveta · 21/06/2007 07:20

I´m not even going to attempt to read the party thread!! what WERE you all up to last night?! Think Noah´s days in our room are seriously numbered. Last night he went to sleep about 10pm and from 2am started making noises, by 4am they hadn´t particularly got louder or more demanding but I reckoned it was time to feed him so I did. He then continued to make moaning, groaning, grunting noises until I finally got up a while ago. Have told dh that if he really isn´t comfortable about N being in his own room (note, he does not get bothered by the noises) then I will decamp to the spare room after the night feed, which I am totally more than happy to do. Might give that a whirl tonight actually. Got a funny feeling dh will hear a lot more noises if I´m not there trying to soothe the baby!

I don´t know.. I do love having him right there next to me in the night (N not dh, although it´s nice having him there too!) and think I´ll really miss him but HOW do I ignore that noise? Do they get less noisy with time??

I bought a FABULOUS new bikini yesterday with (GASP) underwire and even (how old am i?) PADDING! So my already impressive (for me - little miss A cup) C cups actually look more like Ds. I tell you, pushing that rack up and out sure diverts attention from the wobbly arse, that´s for sure! Also bought some new sandals to replace my ancient flip flops AND made an appt to get my hair highlighted tomorrow. Can´t wait, it´s so long overdue...

Am a little nervous about taking Noah especially as colouring appts can be 2 or 3 hours long.. it´s at a time when he would normally be asleep for about that long.. what do you reckon? If I try and feed him just before I go in, it should be fine, right?

There's a due in March 2008 thread.
Our first 'April' baby was born in March 07!

Just popping by to say morning all before I take Danny out to the drop-in group. I intend to do at least one or two of a number of possible "errands" later and my dad will be round, so I may not catch up until this evening.

I have Ellie and Dippy's mobile nos on email, well, I still have to remember to put them into my phone tonight, as I'm sure I'll have to catch up with others in Brighton tomorrow, I have to try and get to central London by bus first to pick up a train at either KX or Victoria - I'm considering KX but then I have a dilemma on the way back - different train companies.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 21/06/2007 10:07

Morning all.

Wow, what a party!

Hope everyone is ok today. All ok here, apart from boody dh who merrily made his sandwiches leaving one piece of bread for B for breakfast. And what about moi????
Dh said "I thought you ate cereal"!!! FFS, the last time I ate cereal was 1979 (well, probably whilst pg with K tbh as bread gave me indigestion). Honestly though. I had a right go and he did apologise.

Have just packed B off to preschool. Picked up the invoice and newsletter and see that it says that children who have had vaccinations need to be excluded for 24 hours after in case of any effects. Woops!! Thinking I might pick her up later on as usual and deny all knowledge of knowing about this policy!!

I was under the impression from others that it may take 2 or 3 weeks for any side effects to be known.

Hey ho.

Going to finish my lovely mocha coffee and tidy up whilst K is asleep.

xx

octo · 21/06/2007 10:45

Morning All,

Octo - Hope the hangover isn't too bad Have a great holiday...Izzy sends snotty Kisses to Ernie...Lucky him

SOKL - I would deny all knowledge of knowing the rules...I had also heard that any side effects take a week to come out...have to say J was ok with his. Glad it wasn't too bad.

Morning Elkie - Hope you have a good day.

Katy at a due in march 08 thread.

How are you doing today pinions?

Hair apponintment should be ok Maveta, just try and feed him before you go. Could your mum not meet you there and then take him for a walk if he doesn't want to sleep?

nuttygirl · 21/06/2007 11:10

Octo - help!!! I'm confused by the nappies...

the blue one and the rainbow one...does the rainbow/blue side go on the inside? And I take it I stuff these.

Are the sandy's the nature babies ones that don't need a wrap?

In a thank you card is it rude to say about an outfit you've been given "it won't be long until he's grown into it"? Does it sound like I'm telling them off for getting the wrong size?

OP posts:
CaptainElliesDippyPA · 21/06/2007 11:46

Sorry katy. {{{{hugs}}}} It was all Ellie's fault. (She can't do anything cos she is incapacitated feeding Joe!! )

No, not rude at all - I usually write: "I/we are really looking forward it him / her growing into it...."; but no not rude (Ellie agrees)

Katy44 · 21/06/2007 11:49

hmmm...I'd just decided it was, but maybe not. Surely if you have kids you know how fast they grow out of things.
CD- you're forgiven, I'll have words with that PA later!
When's the SE meet up? Will have to console myself with looking at the pictures
