put What is wrong with me tonight!!?

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 21:53

ah, but has he only brought you chocolate to cover up the fact he's just eaten a load of it himself

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 21:53

(Sorry, know I'm supposed to be going to bed), am intrigued though, how easy do babies find it to drink from those cups?

CaptainDippy · 25/06/2007 21:56

He says "no he hasn't been eating choc, he has been being VERY manly & changing the tyre on the car .... grrrrrr!"

About bloomin' time!!

Go to bed EM!! DD had no probs lapping from cup - they are v.good - DD2 learned to drink from an open top cup a lot quicker than DD1 & I am sure it was cos of the cup feeding using the Doidy ....

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 21:59

Thanks CD - have always wondered as my mother (with her rose tinted memories of my childhood) says me and my bro never drank from bottles with teats but used doidy cups, then normal cups, and I just thought she was talking bollox (along with her useful comment that she can count the sleepless nights we gave her on the fingers of one hand).

CaptainDippy · 25/06/2007 22:00

I hope you have given her a slap!!

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 22:01

'fraid on this one she is probably right EM, my gran tells the same story, her 3 children were weaned straight from breast to doidy cup and my mum did the same with us.

she bought me one for Matthew and he used it quite happily, will be using it again for Joe

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:02

Who, my mother? Feel like it sometimes. Her latest useful comment is that surely Sophie should be sleeping through the night by now as she's such a good weight.

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:03

Damn Ellie, it hurts when she's right. OK, I need to get me one of those cups.

CaptainDippy · 25/06/2007 22:04

Grrr to your unhelpful mother EM!!

Are you sure you don't want me to send you a pink sparkly one for Moobs, E!!?

CaptainDippy · 25/06/2007 22:05

"Doidy Cups! Doidy Cups! Roll up! Roll up! Get yer Doidy Cups here ....."

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 22:06

i've already been accused of making my biggest boy rather effeminate after th hairdresser incidents

i think people really would talk if JOE had a pink cup

note his name is JOE not moobs

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:06

I want a pink sparkly one too.

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 22:07

my gran tried to tell me that it seemed odd that Joe was feeding every 3 hours and maybe he wasn't feeding well enough

and justin's mum said was i sure it was normal for him to have yellow poo

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 22:08

i used to think they only came out with sensible comments

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:11

Ah yes Ellie, but by now our grandparents had probably weaned their kids onto great hunks of bread so they didn't need feeding every 3 hrs. (OK maybe I'm over-exagerating, but my ma's comments do p me off sometimes).

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:12

Oh yes, and I've annoyed my mother as she brought me some tomato plants round a few weeks ago and she wonders why I haven't had time to plant the things in gro-bags and nurture them each day.

CaptainDippy · 25/06/2007 22:13

Old people are crazy ..... I should know ..... I live in Eastbourne!!

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 22:13

PMSL

this is my gran, my mum spouts utter shite most of the time, whaat is totally wrong in her eyes when i do it, becomes the right thing to do when done by my sister.

i love my gran loads, and she's fab, and i can honestly say that's the first time i've heard her say something daft. she's normally so sane

maybe at 76 she's starting to go a bit barmy

nuttygirl · 25/06/2007 22:16

PMSL

My mum keeps telling me how my gran put baby rice in my bottle at about 2 weeks old and how the HV said at 4 months or so that my mum could start trying me with some solids (my mum knowing I'd been on solids for over a month ). Does my head in everytime she says it.

I want a doidy cup...but DH is not looking too impressed with the idea. Thhink I've bought too many nappies .

backhomenow · 25/06/2007 22:18

GO ON, GO ON, GO ON, GO ON, GO ON, GO ON, GO ON, GO ON, GO OOOOOOOOOOOON

you know you want to

CaptainDippy · 25/06/2007 22:19

I can do £3 inc P&P for Doidy Cup - so not breaking the bank!

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:19

Go on, just one little doidy cup. What harm can it dooooooooo?

weeonion · 25/06/2007 22:20

liath - if you are around - i have just sent you directions for the morning....

Emmymummy · 25/06/2007 22:20
