mine has a boyfriend, and everyone else is more important than me. she regularly cancels seeing me because one of them 'needs' her. so do i ffs

HouseGuestofCaptainDippy · 19/06/2007 00:45

we'll have to arrange a weekend then

night xx

Pesha · 19/06/2007 00:47

Snap Ellie. Has got to the point now where i expect to be let down by her, cant rely on her at all. Is sad though as her dd is 10 weeks older than mine and they used to be bf and really miss each other.

Pesha · 19/06/2007 00:48

Definitely ellie. Yay one of my virtual friends is becoming real

Night night

maveta · 19/06/2007 08:21

Morning! Beautiful sunny day here, got my shorts on (it´s a scary sight what with the thunder thighs and pasty hue) ready to try and catch some sun on them in my morning walk with the boy.

So tired today, we fed him at 10pm and normally with or without this feed he would then sleep til about 5ish, or 4 at the earliest. So fed him at 10pm and he woke up at 3am! and then I lay awake next to him til 5.30am because he was making so much noise I couldn´t sleep. Dh took him to sleep on his chest on the sofa til 7am so I could try and sleep a bit... sob!..I´m tired!

liath · 19/06/2007 08:36

Morning. Can sympathise with the noisy baby, Maveta - ds sounds like a small Darth Vader some nights.

Not sure what to do about cots etc. Still co-sleeping which is handy from the night feed point of view. Don't really want to put ds in his own room quite yet but he's up feeding twice most nights and I'm sure close proximity to the milk bar encourages this. We put dd in her room at 12 weeks and she started sleeping through straight away.

Dd and I are getting a much needed haircut today. Haven't had mine done since before I gave birth !

nuttygirl · 19/06/2007 08:38

I didn't sleep well last night either, despite Erin sleeping through as usual. I just couldn't sleep properly. Erin was a bit grumpy this morning but has now fallen asleep in her bouncy chair...hoping she stays like that til 11am.

Think I forgot to mention I'm viewing my hospital notes today, will probably have to get some photocopies done (on the response to my complaint letter they have the wrong time for my internal exam and I'm hoping it's just an error in the letter and not that my notes have been falsified.)

maveta · 19/06/2007 08:41

Hi Liath - love haircuts! Mine is in desperate need of a few highlights, was going to leave it natural for the first time in years now that the last colour has finally grown out but group analysis (by my lovely sensitive family) of a ´clump´ of grey hairs I apparently have when I wore a ponytail the other day has put paid to that. Vanity wins!

I know re. sleeping.. nights like last night make me think he should just be in his own room, I mean HE is sleeping just fine but we aren´t at all. I think I´d like to wait until 12 weeks though but we´ll see.. 5 weeks seems like a long time to wait at the moment! Dh seems very reluctant to move him just yet, his big sister (and father figure - don´t ask) had her kids in her room for a year and I think he´s using that as his reference (aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!).

Off for my walk now, catch up when I get back x

Katy44 · 19/06/2007 08:41

maveta
Well it seems cruel to say this but I had a good night, just wanted to make you all aware after last Saturday when every baby slept through the night apart from T!
(He didn't sleep through, but only woke once, and went quite easily back to sleep)

Katy44 · 19/06/2007 08:43

OK, deja vu, he's asleep, what are the chances I can have a shower?

oooggs · 19/06/2007 09:18

we are in the nursery with dt's our room is being decorated so we could be in with them for a while

Liath I had my hair cut 12 weeks ago today the day before they were born, hair looks great in postbirth photos even if the rest of my doesn't

Katy44 · 19/06/2007 09:21

just put the bigger nappy on him - he looks swamped

nuttygirl · 19/06/2007 09:34

PMSL - I've just said to Erin "Are you being cheeky?" and she did a huge cheeky grin

mammyjo · 19/06/2007 09:49

Morning all. Maveta, hope you get some chance to rest today after a crap night. F woke once overnight but she has been sleeping through so I am not impressed!!
She will be going into her own room this week or next as she is starting to get a bit big for the moses basket. We have a cot bed too which is put up in her room and to get it out we would have to take it apart. Dont think it would fit in our bedroom anyway so no choice really. Ds went into his own room at 10 weeks and F will be 12 weeks tomorrow so I have kept her in with me longer than him. Dont really want her to go though as I quite like her sleeping next to me.

WCL, lol at poohead!! Would be quite apt for my HV actually. She is a total dick.

Eddas, would be worse than damn in my house too!! Ds keeps saying bloody. Its my most regularly used swear word around him as its not too offensive. Dont mean to, but it just kind of slips out!!

Dooby, hope you manage to get the milk thing sorted out for M.

Nutty, hope you get what you are looking for in your med notes today. if they have been falsified. Hopefully you would be able to tell if that had happened. Good luck xx

I was ready to strangle dh last night. He told me to piss off and to be honest I felt like leaving. He is behaving like a total twat at the moment. I am sick to death of feeling like I have a third child to look after. He has sent me a text this morning saying sorry and I love you. Have ignored it. Really cant be arsed to even make conversation with him I am so That said, I feel ok today! Maybe he will get the message that I cannot go on like this now.

On a totally different note I bought an air freshener yesterday. One of those plug in things with the three fragrances. It is lovely. Thought about it as I can smell it as I type! What a random thing to talk about. Sorry, lost the plot this morning methinks.

mammyjo · 19/06/2007 09:50

Ooh, cheeky Erin! They are so cute sometimes arent they!

nuttygirl · 19/06/2007 10:02

@ you dh Mammyjo, having a hubby is like having an extra child around only more frustrating cos they shouldn't need looking after.

I've managed to get a couple of pics of Erin smiling so I'll link/email them when I figure out how to put them on the computer...I forget everytime!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 19/06/2007 10:21

Morning. One handed typing, so slow!

Mammyjo, cannot believe your dh told you to piss off. Hope you are ok. x Also, B keeps saying bloody hell, which she has got from me! The other day whilst in the car, she said " bloody hell, that car didn't let you out!" Woops!!

Maveta, have a lovely day in the sun. Pretty hot here too. 20 degrees already.

Hi to everyone else. Need to run, as K is kicking off for her milk.

See you later. xx

octo · 19/06/2007 10:50

er - is it just ernie who wakes up twice every night???

The man is doing my garden this week - and I have to say he is working blimin hard! Has completely dug up thr front garden ready for the turf and has moved mountains of soil round to the back garden. He is going to make the front patio a bit bigger and put sleepers into the back to replace the log roll. We are going to get it turfed when we get back from holiday as it will need watering lots.

Ernie asleep in cot - have an hour before ds2 finishes playgroup so going to do my nails! Popping to Cribbs Causeway this afternoon to take back the wallet I bought for father day - bizzarely his bank cards don't fit in the slots Will get him a new onein Cornwall next week.

I am so looking forward to the holiday - hoping it is sunny! Not too worried though - will take full waterproofs for us all and just go out anyway. I love going surfing and ds1 wants to learn more this year. More juggling this year though with Ernie to look after aswell!

Having a cot dilemna - the cottage has a cot so don't need one for there but we are staying at dh parents half way on friday night and they don't. Don't want to take mamas and papas pushchair/carrycot as it is useless on the beach and was going to take my 3 wheeler but need the carrycot for one night ... may just see how much room we have left inthe car!

Good morning to everyone else

Am going to have an early lunch!

Katy44 · 19/06/2007 10:54

oct, T probably has 2 or 3 nights a week when he only wakes once, other nights he wakes twice. I don't actually mind either, it's when he wakes at 5.30 and is ready to start his day that I struggle, although obviously only waking once lets me get a bit more sleep, which is lovely.
I still think we're quite a way off sleeping through the night. What does it tend to depend on? Weight? How much they have last thing? Or just temperament?

octo · 19/06/2007 11:02

ds2 was 12 weeks when he slept through the first time.

tbh I think he is just hungry - as bf not sure how much he is taking but when dh has given him a bottle has only been a couple of ounces and he has still woken up! He is obviously doing well on bf as he is going up the 75th centile happily but some sleep would be nice!

Pesha · 19/06/2007 11:05

Last night dylan fed at 1, 4.30 and then 7.30 (til 8 so we were late for school again ) which was a good night for him. Normally it's last feed at 11/12 then 2 ish and 4.30 ish and then on and off cluster feeding till we get up. I have gone way beyond tired now!!

octo · 19/06/2007 11:12

I am so glad its not just me! Was beginning to think I was the only one suffering from sleep deprivation. Most days are fine once I get going but some days I struggle to function.

nuttygirl · 19/06/2007 11:24

Has anyone else filled in their tax credits form? What a bloody system ...it's going to the inland revenue...don't they already know what my DH gets paid?????

Think I may have to start a thread about it!

Pesha · 19/06/2007 11:26

No def not just you octo, i was doing fine but seems to be catching up with me abit now, think that could explain m stressy moods abit

Pesha · 19/06/2007 11:30

Yep sent mine off a few weeks ago nutty, total load of cak (sp?!) that it is!

Have actually been meaning to ask how long does it take to get a response, think its been a month since i sent it? We could really use the money!!
