EllieK · 14/06/2007 22:58

and Pesha, you really shouldn't blame your bowel troubles on poor D

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 23:01

hehehe...Pesha, Erin did that to my mum

WestCountryLass · 14/06/2007 23:02

DD is 3 in July and it was fairly new advice then. Also, some of the info givne out does not add up like if you wait and wean at 6 months, when should you offer meat/eggs etc because some leaflets still say at 6 months but if you have only just started ofering veggy purees that doesn't add up I think common sense is the key!

My Dd was 3 months old and I came down and she ahd chocolate round her mouth and ds had given her a chocolate button

EllieK · 14/06/2007 23:04

i'm waiting for matthew to do that to Joe

WCL - i can see ds1 doing that. When he was first born ds1 kept wanting to feed him, he seems to have accepted that he just has milk at the moment but think its only matter of time til he starts trying to slip him things! And alot of advice doesnt add up does it, i think official advice is 6 months but noone seems to have accepted that and all other weaning advice/baby food etc is based on assumption you wean at 4 months. Even my dr at 6 week check hen i asked about dieting (for me) said not to till i wean him at 4 or 5 months!

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 23:09

Ok...what do you think:

Erin has been sleepy all day (due to injections i think). She had her last feed at 6-7pm ish. Normally she would have another feed at 10pm (having been awake between these two feeds).

But she hasn't woken up, although she is making hungry noises. Should I
a) wake her, feed her and hope she goes back to sleep
b) just let her sleep & feed at 3am or whenever she wakes

and if I go for b, what if she doesn't wake til morning...is that ok?

By Pesha - "WCL - i can see ds1 doing that. When he was first born ds1 kept wanting to feed him, he seems to have accepted that he just has milk at the moment but think its only matter of time til he starts trying to slip him things!"

By Ellie - "i'm waiting for matthew to do that to Joe"

Why cant i learn to say things simply instead of rabbiting on half a page of nonsense only to say exactly the same thing as ellie managed to say in just 9 words!

EllieK · 14/06/2007 23:13

no idea nutty, i just let Joe sleep but don't know if that's right

EllieK · 14/06/2007 23:14

wait to you see the round up Pesha, I've said something similar about you

Don't wake her, give her a dream feed, just give her her bottle/boob, she will feed while she sleeps and it should top her up enough to see her through:

if she wakes at 4am and does not go back to sleep for 5 hours, don't blame me though!

WestCountryLass · 14/06/2007 23:18

Dread to think what is written about me, all I ever post about is our various ailments.

EllieK · 14/06/2007 23:20

nothing yet WCL, only got as far as tuesday!
do you get the round-ups?
if not, do you want them?

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 23:22

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 23:23

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 23:24

Pesha · 14/06/2007 23:24

I just let dylan sleep too but then he's never slept longer than 4.5 hours so its not really an issue, sorry.

And ellie i hope youre not being mean to poor little me, i cant help that i regularly talk utter shite and noone in rl life wants to listen so i have to save it all for you guys!

night nutty

weeonion · 14/06/2007 23:25

nutty - if c hasnt woken for her last feed before i go to bed - i lift her and feed her. she is usually still well zonked out and doesnt really wake up (just as well as the sight of a large boob unexpectedly bearing down on her would be enough for newborn horrors!) she feeds grand and goes back to sleep no bother. it means i know she has been fed, i can get some kip (or browse MN) and she'll wake again at about 2 .30 / 3am.

EllieK · 14/06/2007 23:25

would I be mean to you P
