ellieandhattie · 17/06/2007 21:32

Hello MOM how are you??

LTH you are back hurrah we are aving ameet up on the 15th august in london if you fancy it!!

Dragonhart · 17/06/2007 21:32

Right got to last sat doing personals and I have given up! Another week to go and I really cant face it- sorry!! I hav eread all the posts, just dont have the time to write back

Canmummy- Hope you had a good holiday.

EAH- WHen did you start taking E to the dentist? Dreading taking LUke, havent done it yet and wondering whether that makes me a bad mummy! Glad preschool is going well. at the time alone with H though! I have emailed eddas about the dress and could do with a reply urgently so if you could give her a nudge, I would be really gatefull.xxx

Vino- about work. Hope you get it sorted.

Wilkie- We are doing a bbq for RUth's christening as DH has been dying to have one. Have the Fisher Price one similar and would def recomend it.

Jodie- Glad all went well with the op but sorry they are all poorly. xxx

2happy- Awful news about ds1's god mother. My MIL had bcancer 6 years ago and it was really hard at the time for her and for us, but she is doing fine now. Hope all goes well for her and her family

Pink- Great news about A's school

Shimmer- How horrible for you about the bath accident. I have to sya that if I do something like that it is me feeling guilty that makes it worse. I once fell down the stairs with Luke when he was tiny, I bumped down the lot and when I was at the bottom, I looked back in dread as I realised that I didnt have luke anymore and he was sat on the step, laughing. I burst into tears (a mix of pain and shock!) and then as soon as I picked him up he started crying. Didnt stop for ages but I am sure that it was because of how I was reacting that made him so upset rather than being hurt.

I have been rushing around all weekend trying to tidy the house for next week. I didnt realise how filthy it had got .

Appart from that not done much. DH looked after los most of the weekend while I tidied. Luke had a bad day with the potty training on Sat but seems to have bounced back today. Not sure how long it supposed to take but I suppose that it will be longer for him as he is quite young? It is all better than the fights we were having to get a nappy on him.

Oh and 2happy- last week I went into Luke's room and he said 'oh dear, a poo'. I presumed he ment in his nappy until he went to his window ledge and picked up a massive poo and tried to hand it to me!! I said, 'poos go in the toilet dont they, shall we put it in the toilet now' with my hands firmly behind my back and he said' no mummy, mummy' and insisted I took it!!

Nemo- Wow about the teeth!

Rgee- I have a dress that me, and my sis and brother wore for our chirstening. It is very simple and made of silk. I am also hopefully getting a back-up dress incase of poos and sick dramas from EAH's friend Eddas. Got a white blanket I used for Luke's chirsteing as well.

Sorry if there are loads of mistakes as I havent read it. Hope eveyone else is ok. xxx

Dragonhart · 17/06/2007 21:33

How are you MOM? xxx

musicianswidowAKAmumofmonsters · 17/06/2007 21:37

LadyTophamHatt · 17/06/2007 21:50

And although I'd love to come to meet you all I really a great big scaredy cat and travelling to london would be waaaaay to much for me.

ellieandhattie · 17/06/2007 21:51

Dragonhart · 17/06/2007 21:54

Cheers EAH. Better get LUke booked in then!

laughalot · 18/06/2007 08:39

Morning everyone hope you are all ok and havent been washed away by the flooding .

I seem so busy at the moment im selling loads of bits and trying to get them on ebay is impossible with 2 kids bless them. I was a naughty girl last night at spinning I was talking to my friend so the instructor got off her bike and said that if I have enough energy to talk them im not working hard enough and that she is going to punish everyone which she did by turning up everyones tension . It was like being on big brother I wasnt popular and at the end this big rough girl said to me you need to keep your gob shut if she hadnt been so big I would have said something instead I ran off .

ellieandhattie · 18/06/2007 08:42

LAL and I would have ran off to (with loads of witty comebacks that I could have said to big girl in my head but to scared to say them!!)

Dragonhart · 18/06/2007 09:06

How funny Laughalot! Naughty girl!

Just checked the weather for next sun and now it is just cloudy. Fingers crossed that by the time I check on sun it will be a sunny day!

2Happy · 18/06/2007 09:36

vino - glad the cellar is drying; garden sounds good - but surely we're due some sun soon?!
at MoM
DH - I've not taken ds1 to the dentist yet either, I just know he's going to bite the poor man's finger. And after a whole year of no new teeth, he's starting to cut a new molar - just as ds2 is dribbling loads. Great, two teething at once! Glad your mil is doing well - 6 years down the line, pretty reassuring. PMSL making you carry the turd!
Lal - that sounds horribly like school. I did look to see if there were any spin classes here - now I'm glad that there aren't!!
PCF - really great news about ds's school.

No poo this morning thank goodness! dh taken ds1 to godmother's so it's just me and ds2 all day woohoo!

Rgee..the years supply of flash has come in the shape of vouchers As yet not had chance to go and use them..or could that be I am resisiting as when I have them I really should clean

LTh glad the weaning is going well, Chloe just is not interested at all!! I have tried on and off a couple of times as she tries to grab our food from the plate etc but if I try to give her anything of her own she just looks at me like I am soft!!

Urban hope Zs teeth come through soon, although all the waking up does sound like could be teething!!!

How is everyone else?? Not a lot going on here, am waiting for courier to pick up stuff I have sold on ebay and need to go and collect ds from playgroup..who bets they coincide with each other

Dragonhart · 18/06/2007 10:43

UD, just looking at that blw thread you started. For rusks for Luke, I used to get an uncut loaf, cut it into long fingers about 1 inch x 1 inch x height of the bread then put it in the oven when you are cooking something else til it is hard. It keeps for ages in a tuperware tub. Sooooo much cheaper than rusks and no sugar. Luke loved them and I kept some in my changing bag if he got a bit grumpy when we were out.

Shimmer · 18/06/2007 10:51

Quick question.... Has anyone used the Annabel Karmel food grinder? I want to make potato puree for Freddie and have just been lookng at moulis, but i see Ms Karmel does her own one. Wilkie? Do I remember you getting one some time ago? How are you finding it? Quite a few for sale on ebay for not alot so made get one... How about the rest of you starting with purees? Has anyone actually tried pressing potato through a sieve? Sounds like hard work to me.. but maybe its not as bad as it sounds??

P.S. Morning all. Hope you all had good nights!

Dragonhart · 18/06/2007 10:57

Have you got a hand blender Shimmer? That is what I used for L.

ellieandhattie · 18/06/2007 11:01

think wilkie was looking at those shimmer, however, all I do with potato is blend it with the hand held blender never done either of them any harm (in fact hattie now has what we have for dinner minus the meat/fish just stick it in a mixing jug with a bit of the water from the vegetables and blend away and she loves her dinners!!)

ellieandhattie · 18/06/2007 11:01

great minds think alike dragon!!

Shimmer · 18/06/2007 11:07

DH I have a hand blender that I've used for apple, pear & carrot so far, but Annabel Karmel says potato and other things with a tough skin - peas, apricot etc. need to be 'moulied'??

Dragonhart · 18/06/2007 11:08

Thats exactly what I used to do with
L EAH. So much easier than making up batches and made us eat healthier too.

Shimmer · 18/06/2007 11:08

X Posts. Ahhhh.... interesting... thanks EaH

Dragonhart · 18/06/2007 11:11

Sounds like she wants t sell her gadget imo .

Guess I just took skin off before cooking or for new pots and jackets squashed them abit, took skins off/scrapped it out and then pureed. If you want to give then the skins sure they would be mashed enough by the blender.

Dragonhart · 18/06/2007 11:13

Actually dont think I blended pots. Used to just mash them with butter and milk.
