Thanks for all the reassuring words, actually my day alone was fine for the time it lasted! Mike left at 7.45, before my dad arrived at 11 Mike called to say his sort of boss hadn't been expecting him in this week and thought he should phase his return, so he was coming home soon and going in tomorrow pm. So he was home about 12.

I have persuaded him to get some more sleep while Danny's between feeds. Thing is, I had psyched myself up and felt mentally ready to establish my own routine without having to deal with other adults.

I have a different problem re dp atttitude to crying baby. Mike can't ignore Danny's crying at all, not that I can, but I stay calmer if picking him up doesn't work than Mike does - if I panic it's in response to Mike.

mammyjo, you certainly don't need kicks, hugs woujld be more like it.

lol at commune posts! Sounds lovely.

Have to go and start preparing towards 5 pm feed.

take care all

I came into the room to find DH holding T the other day, T punched him in the nose, and he said "Daddy deserved that didn't he?"

I asked what he meant and he said he'd left T crying while he had his lunch and when he went over to him he was all distressed and had tears in his eyes. DH felt incredibly guilty and spent all afternoon "making friends"

mammyjo · 29/05/2007 16:34

Can I request Gordon Ramsay live with us too please? Not just for his culinary skills, I find him very easy on the eyes!!

EllieK · 29/05/2007 17:06

ok mj he can come too, but only if he doesn't speak

Hello

I have read and retained nothing...as usual.

Glad your day went well Elkie, no what you mean about establishing you own routine.

Commune sounds like a great idea

Well done you Ellie on going to the christening. Sorry your mum upset you.

Sorry about the 'middle wife' email...I couldn't resist, having been a teacher it made me laugh

maveta · 29/05/2007 18:14

aaargh, just went into town to meet a friend for coffee and N bawled his eyes out all the way home.. only 20mins but felt like forever. poor thing was hysterical and is in the back rear facing so i couldn´t even see him or touch him. was nearly having a breakdown. oh the tears and look of sadness on his little red face when we finally got home.

so much for a nice afternoon out...

EllieK · 29/05/2007 18:26

see, it's easier 2nd time round maveta, much easier to just ignore the noise

Maveta, I have got a mirror in the back of the car. It attaches on the back seat head rest and you tilt it so that you can see the baby when you look in your rear view mirror. Very useful as you can see whether they have been sick or something, or whether just yelling for yellings sake.

Ellie, not sure if I could stop him from speaking!! Dont know what it is about him but MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! Tana Ramsay is a lucky lady!

EllieK · 29/05/2007 20:30

Hi ladies, just a quick post as dh and I are sharing the burden that is Katie.

She seems to be in pain again. Had a bottle at 6.15, asleep by 7.15 - awake crying at 7.45. Just do not get it at all. She seems to bring up dribble which causes her pain, which I am sure is acidic. I am going to press the docs on Thursday for Infant Gaviscon.

Maveta, it is awful when they are sobbing and you are driving - not much you can do really.

Hi Ange - thanks for your email. I'll email you back in a mo.

Hope everyone is ok. Need to go but back on tomorrow I expect, although escaping to my preants for the day with the 2 girls.

Love to everyone.

Morning everyone
Ho is everyone today?
We're having a lazy day, not going anywhere apart from perhaps a trip in the pram later (I might squeeze in there too if someone will push) Hopefully will see some sort of routine emerging from the little milk monster!

runnyhabbit · 30/05/2007 08:47

Morning all

Lol at commune

Dh has been working in Newcastle all week (he's there til Friday) so mum had J last night. V weird waking up and only having to see to W. He's started sounding a bit chesty in the night, so we're seeing the dr at 9.30. I've been using saline drops but not convinced they're doing much.

And W was def in sync with all the other lo yesterday - cuddles and boobs all day

Have a good day all
x

mammyjo · 30/05/2007 09:12

Morning all. Much better here today, feel much brighter thank goodness.
GMM, hope you are ok this morning and have had a reasonable night.
Lazy day here too today as the weather is vile. Pouring down with rain which is just typical for the half term hols. Looks like I will doing painting and other such rainy day activities with ds later!

Thankyou all for you pick me up messages yesterday. Spoke to dh last night and sorted things out, not sure how long his new found helpfulness will last but its nice for now at least.

SOKL, hope you get K sorted. Does sound like acid that she is bringing up and we all know what thats like! I got to the point of drinking Gaviscon out of the bottle when pregnant!

Katy, hope the weather is ok for you to get out for a walk later. Know what you mean about wanting to get in the buggy too - what a life!

Runny, hope the gp appointment goes ok. F has been snuffly for over 3 weeks and it just doesnt seem to be getting better. Been to the GP a couple of times and he sent me up to the childrens assessment unit in the hospital last Friday too, but nothing to find, just viral.

Sexonknackeredlegs · 30/05/2007 10:19

Morning all. Pants weather here too. Wish it would make its mind up - it was quite nice again yesterday!

Hope everyone is ok and had good nights.

Runny hope the gp is helpful !!

MJ, glad things are sorted with dh - for the time being at least!

Katy, hope you get to get out today, although if the weather is as bad as it is here....

Had an amazing nights' sleep after all the shananigans (sp?) of the evening. Dh gave K a bottle at 9.00, she faffed around pretending she wasn't tired, and then at 10.30 dh just stuck her in her basket and she fell asleep, and woke up at 8.00 a.m.!

She must have been knackered - she was awake between 3.00 p.m. yesterday afternoon and 10.30, apart from the odd nodding off in the car on the way to and from preschool!

Off to my parents for the day which should be good. At least someone else can have B for a couple of hours. She is being an utter horror at the moment.

Best get on.

Love to everyone.

maveta · 30/05/2007 10:24

Morning! Just asked on the bf thread if I can add frozen ebm to what I have expressed today to make up a feed to give ds later on? Does anyone know?
