Octo - thanks, I know you are right.. it´s surprisingly difficult to just rest when the baby is resting like they say you should, isn´t it? But I am trying to, I did yesterday and felt miles better than I did on monday when I dashed around trying to get a million things done while he slept.
Went and got daktarin cream for me yesterday instead of using his oral gel and my nipples do feel better for it already but N seems like he is in MORE pain when feeding, doesn´t seem like it is lessening for him at all.. anyone advise on this?
Update on the bottle of ebm - in the end he took about 3ozs from the bottle (all I had managed to get out) quite happily for his middle of the night feed ,from dh (which dh was really pleased about!) but seemed a lot more awake at the end of the feed than he normally would be on the boob - eyes like saucers - so I had to pop him onto the boob for a few mins just to settle him.. will try and be more applied at the expressing today and get a good 4 or 5 ozs so we can make sure he gets filled up from the bottle. So that was quite a success I reckon and gave my poor old nipples a bit of a break at least
Eca- I guess I am staying quite positive but it helps that he´s a pretty easy, contented baby. I think if he was more of a crier I would have been at the end of my tether days ago. But you sound like you´re doing well too? Hope the mastitis feels better today xx
