Thanks everyone!
It's slow progress but I've chosen to take it slowly and minimise crying so I'm happy with it so far. One thing that I find really weird is how DS can be asleep, or on the verge of falling asleep, in my arms and then as soon as I put him down, he is immediately awake - eyes wide open, smiling, wriggling around. He thrashes about for ages and it seems as if he's never going to fall asleep and then he suddenly goes still and drops off. Babies are weird!

"Assume saying she is a chubster" LOL
They are probably saying she is gorgeous!
Thanks for the veg suggestions, we've tried most of those without much success so far but we'll keep trying.

Glad you're happy with your haircut

Glad your DS isn't ill or anything, although the teething and fussiness is still hard work, at least you don't have anything serious to worry about. Try not to stress about the weaning, if I had to guess I would say you probably won't have to start again from the beginning - it might take him a little while to get back into the swing of things but probably not as long as it took in the beginning.
Thanks for the suggestion regarding night feeds and sleep training... I am inclined to agree and have tried to unlatch DS and put him back in the crib to fall asleep there, but it's tricky in the middle of the night as he falls asleep so easily when feeding and I sometimes fall asleep myself
It's also harder for him to fall and stay asleep from about 4am onwards - according to the Baby Sleep Science people that's normal - so I am usually less brave from that point onwards and just do whatever to get him to sleep until 6-7am!!

I have to remind myself the same thing, babies will be babies, with ups and downs! It is hard to be sure about teething sometimes - in my (limited so far) experience the telltale signs are red cheeks (often just one cheek), gums feel hot when you touch them (I tend to massage them a bit when applying gel), and DS is very fussy when feeding - he seems hungry as he latches on enthusiastically when I offer the breast, but he quickly stops feeding and starts crying. He also chews everything with even more determination and ferocity than usual - but he chews things a lot so that last one is harder to call!
