Oh My God!!
I haven't been here in yonks and look what is happening? My My
I really do hope things go well for you Chuffed. I shall be following this thread closely from now on, it will be book marked!
All the very best for you and your family xxx

Heres a photo of my troublemakers taken last weekend.
I can't say I've noticed any particular tantrumming but then I'm quite short-tempered too and I can't stand tantrumming. So I have to admit to being quick to fly off the handle too It's the whinging I can't stand, drives me bananas. Really really whingy at times and that's the worst.

Actually I am really enjoying them both at the minute. Ds is very, very cute and dd does mother him so. Thankfully they play alot together, although I do occasionally have to intervene when they both want the same dolly.

I'm still working full-time although I have the option to go down to three days from January. Suddenly I have become indecisive, they both love nursery and although tough I like my job. So I'm beginning to think, if it's not broke.....
All that said after a longggg summer holiday.

hewlettsdaughter · 30/09/2007 22:05

Wow Chuffed - best of luck for the coming weeks/months...

MrsD - lovely pic (hasn't dd grown up!)

My dd has started pre-school, and seems to be enjoying it. This term I have had to apply for school entry in 2008/9 too - is that the same for the rest of you?

Fennel · 02/10/2007 09:20

hi HD.

I am waiting agog to hear about Chuffed's pregnancy progress.

I think we don't apply for school entry til March but as dd3 is at the pre-school attached to her sisters' school it's not going to be major change for her or us.

Mrs D i know that part time/full time dilemma, I'm going through that again too, working only 2.5 days this term and though it's good for getting things sorted at home it's not very satisfying on the work front. but my dc are a bit older than yours, which makes a difference.

MrsDoolittle · 02/10/2007 10:57

That's just it Fennel. I've been offered module leadership if I stay on full-time, it would be too hard work part-time. New curriculum and I'm desperate to get stuck in, but then I'm not tired at the minute. It's when I'm tired the problems arise.

We have two intakes here. DD would start school in January 2009, so just over a year away now.

Then I'll have to cut down....

MrsDoolittle · 02/10/2007 10:59

Thank you HD.

Anyone else got pictures?

tracyk · 02/10/2007 19:25

Any more news Chuffed? 3 will be a handful all at once!
I've got piccies - but I've no idea how to attach them.
ds misses his school intake by a week - so he's got another 2 full years at nursery. Unless I decide to pay for him to go to a private school, and then he can go next Aug.
I think he'll be very ready by then - he's miles taller than all his classmates and can read and write quite well. I think he'll start being bored/playing up if he's to stay at the same nursery for 2 years.

DottydotsofBloodOnTheFloor · 02/10/2007 19:39

Wow - just seen this thread and Chuffed your news is fantastic!!!

I can't believe they're all 3 either - ds2 loves pre-school and the teachers have told us he's a delight - cheers them all up because he's so happy all the time. [proud emoticon]. Must update my photos - both ds's are going through a growth spurt - they're so tall and skinny!

Chuffed · 03/10/2007 05:36

Well I have had another scan and it looks like they have all come from seperate eggs and there is no sharing of the good stuff so the complications drop apparently which is good.
I have another appt tomorrow to try to get in with the 'high risk unit' at the Auckland hospital but I got the feeling at the scan that as my other pregnancies were straight forward [hmmm] they might try to refer me back to the low-med risk hospital. I phoned there this morning and the antenatal receptionist can't remember a set of triplets being born . Will see how it goes but I will certainly not be fobbed off.
dh and I are currently having discussions as to whether I need a triple buggy [hmmm] we had our eye on the icandy pear for the twins but I can't logistically see how I can carry a newborn and manage a just over 2yr old if he has a tantrum or something. Am looking forward to the time going past a bit more so I can join the multiple birth society and talk to some others who have had triplets to see what they think.

Fennel · 03/10/2007 14:41

Chuffed, we had a double three wheeler buggy which you could also sit a toddler on the "lid" of if necessary, and then have another baby in a sling. (I used to look after my sister's child and several of mine so got quite good at the 3 under 3 scenario, though not the 4 under 3 you'll have).

Or buggy board + double buggy + sling?

LucyJones · 08/10/2007 19:13

Oh wow only just caught up with this!!
Chuffed congratulations Really hope all is going well and will keep my fingers crossed for a safe pregancy -have you got 3 x the morning sickness
So exciting!!
And MrsDoolittle - what a lovely photo. Beautiful children
Things are getting so much easier here now that dd is one. Don't know if anyone remembers my thread this time last year moaning about the newborn stage - have seen the light at the end of the tunnel and am loving it most of the time
We do have the odd tantrum from ds - especially at bedtime if he's tired after nursery ( I work 2 days now).

Chuffed · 24/10/2007 07:43

Well I am certainly 'high risk' and there was no question of me being anywhere else. They basically scared me silly with talk of dead/too early babies and really I'm not going to be able to do any planning until they are all born and OK.

We love the new icandy pear and was thinking of this plus a sling but my worry would be if ds had a tanty being just over 2 I wouldn't be able to just pick him up and remove him as it would probably hurt the sling baby.

Am going to join the multiple birth society here as well and get hints etc from other mums of triplets. There are a two sets that just literally live around our suburb.

Glad things are getting better LJ, once they start playing together it just gets easier and easier. dd has been quite good recently, it seems to come in waves. Still haven't really worked out the best way to deal with bad behaviour for her, she will happily put herself into time out over and over again if she really wants to keep doing things like gymnastics on the couch.

hewlettsdaughter · 13/11/2007 20:00

Hope all is going ok Chuffed x

JenT · 16/11/2007 15:12

hi everyone, sorry to crash your party. not really posted much on here DS1 was born in april 2004 and I just can't believe what a nice little boy he is.. we seem to have thoroughly come through the tantrumy toddler stage I am a bit shocked really as he was such a handful..

how is everyone else finding pre-school class?
I think DS1 is enjoying learning and being stimulated more than at playgroup.

I hope to get to know some of you better.
Jen x

JenT · 16/11/2007 15:15

meant to add that although I don't know you chuffed - huge congratulations, I have a friend who has triplet boys who were born at 24 weeks but they are now 3 years old and fantastic little men!
If you want tips about equipment I can ask her if you would like?
Jen x

hewlettsdaughter · 19/11/2007 20:08

Hi Jen - your ds sounds lovely . I have moaned on here in the past about dd being difficult - and she still has her moments! - but I think that since she started pre-school in Sept things have become a little easier.

Chuffed · 21/11/2007 02:41

Hi Jen. Equipment wise we are trying not to get too much stuff until they are all with us if that makes sense. We have two cots but plan on putting them all side by side in one initially. I have been given a triple jogger and plan on getting an umbrella stroller at some point after they are all born so it will fit in the car.
Any other tips are greatfully accepted

I am feeling so much better now, the tiredness has eased off a little and the nausea has gone (I was so worried that it was going to go on forever).

dd has her moments but I think at the moment she really wants to be bigger than she is. Her job is emptying the dishwasher now and she does this each day and gets 10c for it. She is saving up and I will take her to the $1,2,3 shop to buy some christmas presents if she wants. She really wants to help with cooking, cutting strawberries, peeling potatoes etc and when I explained when she was older she would be able to cook a night a week and choose what she was to cook she got all upset and said but I'm 3 1/2 I can do that now

In NZ there isn't really 'preschool' like in UK the basis is on learning through play until they start school but dd's thing at the moment is writing. She just wants to write letters on bits of paper all the time.

libralady · 21/11/2007 07:06

Hi, I've been lurking a while and reading all about you guys. I have a DS who was born in April 2004 and is at Nursery full time and I've just discovered I am expecting No2 next July.
Congratulations chuffed. Three! Sounds like you had a rought time of it beforehand but looks like all is going well now.
I had problems after my first preganancy. I spent the last 3 months on crutches becasue I had terrible sciatica. My back never really recovered and I was then diagnosed with 2 prolaspsed discs and the vertebrae were trapping the sciatic nerve. I had surgery in May this year to place an implant between the vertebrae and touch wood, this appears to have worked.
Her's hoping to a trouble free pregnancy this time around.
We haven't told DS yet, maybe in the New Year. For that matter, we haven't told any of the family yet. I've got my scan on 19th December, so as long as there are no problems, we'll put a photo of the scan picture in their Christmas cards to be opened on Christmas morning.
Take care
LL xx

Chuffed · 28/11/2007 06:36

Congrats libralady.

Here's hoping that the back holds up this time!

Chuffed · 13/12/2007 11:26

Well we have news. Still 3 little ones - abnormality scan has been delayed until next week as they couldn't fit the 'hour' into the schedule today. They approx about 20mins per baby

Our shock is that it appears we have 3 little princesses on the way so that will make 4 teenage girls in the house at the same time.

Poor ds he will be completely outnumbered. I will really have to savour these 'boy' moments.

AwayInAMunker · 13/12/2007 14:41

Oh, Chuffed! Wow! Congratulations!!!

Fennel · 17/12/2007 11:18

That's fantastic Chuffed. How many weeks are they now?

Lots of girls is great though of course we don't have a ds to get left out.

Chuffed · 19/12/2007 04:44

20wks this week - so they have to stay in for at least 8 more and then it is anyone's guess???

hewlettsdaughter · 21/12/2007 23:10

Just caught up with this - glad all is going well - can't believe you're 20 weeks already

Hope your scan went ok libralady x

libraladytistheseasontobejolly · 22/12/2007 18:03

Hi all,
Thanks Helwettsdaugther my scan went well (piccy on profile). Luckily there's just the one! Was a bit dubious as twins on both sides of my family and I am getting on in years!
Relief to know its not a figment of my imagination as until v recently I'd had no symptoms. Unfortunately MS has kicked in with full force at 10 weeks. I'm now 12+3 and I'm still delicate most of the day.
Hope everyone has a great Christmas and here's to a fnatastic 2008
LLxx

hewlettsdaughter · 24/12/2007 20:26

Happy Christmas to everyone!

Yorkiegirl - if you're reading this - I have been thinking about you recently. Hope you and your girls have a happy Christmas x
