Thanks peach. It's really weird on Facebook with real names! Looks like an active group though Smile

jennymac31 · 18/08/2017 13:15

@guertie28 - are you bf or ff? I've been ff so midwife and hv were happy to give nate water on warm days to keep him hydrated.

Gurtie28 · 18/08/2017 13:35

@jennymac31 I'm ff too - I'm thinking it could help with passing poops??? May give her an ounce today.

ClaireSunflower · 18/08/2017 14:52

@Gurtie28 I'm ff too and tried him with some water when it was really hot but he wasn't very interested in it so I've not bothered again. He seems hydrated enough, plenty of wet nappies etc so I don't think I'll try again unless it's super hot

sockgate · 18/08/2017 23:37

delurks I have been following this group for months but didn't join because of Mumsnet mobile issues. Is it really weird if I now ask to join the FB group? DS1 was born in May and I have learned so much from you all.

EsmesBees · 19/08/2017 07:17

sockgate not at all. All welcome.

Barnes79 · 19/08/2017 09:20

Just a quick post to say I'm still lurking on here. We've had a run of 10 good nights with just one wake up so I've not been on here as much. Obviously that run ended last night so I'm back 😳

sockgate · 19/08/2017 09:42

Thanks EsmesBees. @PeachIcedT I have PMed you my address.

CoxsOrangePippin · 19/08/2017 09:45

@barnes79 snap!

SheepyE · 19/08/2017 19:49

Hi everyone I have to confess I'm a secret lurker. Now that you're all moving to Facebook I'm confessing. I've been reading the thread most days since my last few weeks of pregnancy. My little boy (lamb) was born on 7th May he was 9lb 8 via forceps. He's a bouncing 16lb 8 now. I'm a first time mum and was very much career driven before I had him, now I'd give everything up for him, how things change. Unfortunately, I will have to go back to work full time but can't even think of how much I'll miss him right now. I'm sure we'll adjust.

I just want to say how all your posts have kept me going through feeds tough day and long night feeds. Knowing that other May mummy's are out there going through the same things really helps, thank you.
Hopefully I can join via Facebook too

Cantthinkofaname123 · 19/08/2017 23:20

Hi I'd like to join in please if that's ok. I had my daughter on May 12th 😊would be great to talk to people with babies the same age as I'm always worrying about one thing or the other.

crazyzooo · 20/08/2017 10:34

Hi I am still lurking at night too. It's just more difficult to reply here than to use the FB app (quietly and one handed in the dark trying to avoid waking the baby further while feeding). Oh and FB has photos - lots and lots of May baby photos 😍

jennymac31 · 20/08/2017 17:09

I'm still lurking as well but haven't been able to post much as I've been busy with family visits and weddings over the last few days.

Hope you are all well xx

Acorncat · 21/08/2017 10:05

Aw that's a shame that everyone's just on Facebook now Sad. I hadn't joined that, thought it was easier here. Anyone still around that can add me? Smile

savagehk · 21/08/2017 11:32

Yep @acorncat if you pm me your facebook-linked email address.

EsmesBees · 21/08/2017 11:44

Welcome sheepy and can't think of a name. Yes feel free to join the FB group, and there are still a few of us on here.

Acorncat · 21/08/2017 12:08

Thanks @savagehk I've pm'd you

notasillysausage · 21/08/2017 17:40

I'm a lurker/very sporadic poster, please can I be added to the FB group?

Chocolatecake36 · 22/08/2017 19:12

Please can I also be added to the fb group. This is the first time I have posted on mumsnet, but I have been following this thread since my dd was born at the start of May. Thank you to all you lovely ladies for the advice given. I am a first time mum and have learnt loads.

savagehk · 22/08/2017 23:31

Both - if you've not already PM'd anyone else, you can PM me with your fb linked email address and I can add you.

Walkerbean16 · 23/08/2017 13:44

Hi, if anyone is still around i could do with some advice please! Ive been breastfeeding but was admitted to hospital this week and put on antibiotics, im out now but cant feed isabelle, the antibiotics make my milk taste bitter and she is refusing the breast but i have no idea about bottle feeding really! Ive been using the premade cartons and she seems to take between 7-9ozs every 4hours. She sleeps from approx 9.30-7 so she is feeding at 7.30 11.30 3.30 7.30 then a bit more before bed. Is this enough food? Its only been a couple of days and she seems fine but i dont want to be doing it wrong Sad x

Walkerbean16 · 23/08/2017 13:45

Sorry i should have said she is 11.5 weeks and about 15lb x

savagehk · 23/08/2017 14:28

Sorry, not my area of knowledge :( That's a pity about the antibiotics, I didn't know they could change the taste. I had some recently (although I wasn't admitted to hospital or anything!) and luckily no effect. Hope you're feeling better soon.

EsmesBees · 23/08/2017 14:53

I'm not sure either walker but there is an Infant Feeding board on here where you can get advice.

Barnes79 · 23/08/2017 16:11

@Walkerbean16 I was told 150ml, per kg of baby weight, per day when we saw the paediatrician today. If she's 15lb is that about 7.5kg? If so that would be about 1125ml a day which is about 38oz of formula a day. Spread over 6 feeds is about 6.5oz per feed or over 5 feeds is about 7.5oz per feed. Sounds like you're feeding about that if not a little more so perfect 👍🏻😁
