Thank you all - yes he does have CMPA. It did cross my mind about the baby rice but I've just checked ingredients now - see pic.

Namechange - thanks. We were told (and as far as I understand) general consensus is that weaning helps the reflux. His is clearly still severe though. I thought he had perhaps started to grow out of it.

I feel really bad for not replying to other posts - I'm really not impolite or ignoring / dismissing , just really brain fried at moment. I've just realised I've not eaten a single thing all day Sad

DS settles better with me although DH can cheer him
Up sometimes

Oh no purple will you eat now ? You poor thing it's a tough ride never mind with a baby with reflux . I've heard lots of people say it does improve with weaning . It's early days yet . Fingers crossed for you .
My DD was very petite up until weaning started . She's gaining more weight now . Still having the recommended amount of formula , often more but far less sickly .

Carolann8584 · 01/08/2017 00:02

I tend to give her her last feed and bath as my OH seems to always want to have her smiling and giggling which is lovely but not really at the winding down and chilling out part of the day. It's like if she wakes during the night and I'm not in the room, instead of putting her dummy back in or checking she's warm etc he will pick her up and start chatting to her even at 3-4 in the morning Hmm then hand her to me when I come back in Confused

Carolann8584 · 01/08/2017 00:05

purple my OH is constantly telling me off for not eating, like you, it's not done on purpose it's just there so much going on during the day I don't realise the time or that I've not eaten, today I didn't have anything until DO came home from work!

Carolann8584 · 01/08/2017 00:05

That should be DP not DO Grin

purpleviolet1 · 01/08/2017 00:11

Will a packet of maltesers count? I'm on my period but it's been a really strange one - very very light for a few days and just ramped up to normal today. Maybe this is affecting my appetite? It's my 4th one after DS so hardly early days. The other 3 were fairly normal.

Carolann that's funny bless your dp! Or not at 3am

MotherofA · 01/08/2017 00:19

Got to be better than nothing purple haha . Hhhhm that's funny your period is different, I don't know about that .
Carol my other half is like this but he has got better and being more calm hahaha. I think it's because they don't get much time with them . I do love hearing her giggles and seeing her yank his beard ! Smile

NameChange30 · 01/08/2017 03:45

purple
Ah I see, didn't realise that. Sorry the reflux is so bad and I hope it does help.
I can't imagine forgetting to eat as I get starving all the time Grin Could you set an alarm/reminder on your phone? Get really easy snacks/food to eat so you don't have to prepare anything? Get your DP to prepare some food for you before he goes to work so you can easily eat it during the day?

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/08/2017 06:45

Agree weaning is rec if baby has reflux - purée sits better in stomachs then milk tho Obv will be times still sick

You must eat !!! Even if toast - sandwich or micro meals and Obv chocolate

Dd is still asleep. Thank god - she went down at 6.15 last night - almost hr early buy zonked in my arms after bottle and was out for the count

She normally does 12hrs ish so thought she would wake at 6.15am

We are out for lunch with a friend today so first weaned meal Not at home ....... will be interesting 😂😂

purpleviolet1 · 01/08/2017 08:54

Thanks haha

Namechange I do usually feel hungry 😋 think it's to do with TOTM.

We've moved into the house so things are that bit more chaotic. Got all essentials out but waiting for microwave!

On the topic of sleep (nights and naps), I came across this when I was feeding DS in the early hours:
www.mybabysleepguide.com/2016/01/3-6-month-sleep-guide.html

It seems like a good website, has balanced advice about the different approaches and choosing the one that's right for you and your baby (rather than being stridently for/against CIO for example).

Carolann8584 · 01/08/2017 10:39

Weekly trip to MILs wish me luck Hmm

MotherofA · 01/08/2017 12:03

Urgh good luck Carol !

MotherofA · 01/08/2017 12:05

Blonde let me know how feeding out goes pls , I haven't done it yet as she's a bit small for the wooden high chairs in most places . Has anyone changed their pram from lie flat yet ?
That's a milestone for me and I have been putting it off but I know DD loves looking around . She's not exactly big though and don't want her to look like she's slipping around in there x

Carolann8584 · 01/08/2017 12:22

DD has been out in the stroller a couple of times, it has a head rest and 5 point harness to keep her upright, she absolutely loves it, eyes everywhere. She has fallen asleep a couple of times so it's easy enough to drop it to lay her down. She didn't like the lay down pram attachment she couldn't see anything.

Carolann8584 · 01/08/2017 12:23

First time out ....

I'll definitely check out that site tonight thanks name .

NameChange30 · 01/08/2017 14:18

You're welcome mother and yes I agree Hugh Smile

DS has been in the pushchair (rather than the carrycot) for about 2 months now. It does have a lie flat option so we can easily pop it down when he falls asleep. He loves looking around. He is big for his age so that was probably a factor, no worries about him falling out Grin

NameChange30 · 01/08/2017 14:23

PS Carol Lovely photo! She is so cute 😍

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/08/2017 15:39

Awww cute pic. We have a stroller but havnt used yet

Have a lie down carry cot on buggy which tilts up so can lay slanted
And see

Lunch went well tho took car seat as well so could eat in it

So walking down high street pushing dd in buggy/carry cot and carried car seat by handle - soooooooo much easier when not having 18lbs extra weight in it 😂😂

I warned purée up and put in small tub. Took spare bowl to cool down tho tbh by time for lunch food had cooled down

Dd sat in car seat. Ate her swede. Yummy. Tried to grab my dough balls - which she wasn't allowed - then as my pizza came I put her flat buggy and dd slept for an hr

I had dinner in peace and life was good :)
