Awwww bless hugh so cute.

Glad your outing went well Blondes

Well I thought MIL visit went well until my OH got home and told me his DM was a bit put out......

I took my DDs belly time blanket, we have a dog and 2 cats so rather than have her lay on the living room rug direct we have a blanket we put down first, anyway took it with me not putting much thought into it wanting to show MIL DDs trying to commando crawl (moving arms and legs but not going anywhere).

She was put out because she bought DD a baby gym a couple of weeks ago and I didn't use that for belly time"I brought something else to use instead" "I obviously don't like what MIL bought for DD"

I actually don't mind what my DD uses for belly time I just used the blanket coz that's what we use at home.

Oh sorry I wasn't clear. She bought her a baby gym for at her house. If she was going to do a baby gym activity then I would have used it but the blanket is quite big so has room in case she wants to roll over etc

So many people I know have unbearable mother in laws . Mine is very sly with nasty remarks towards me and mainly my eldest which obviously DP never hears . Luckily though I only see them around 4-8 times per year .
I get really anxious when they are coming round because she is an OCD clean freak . My house is not dirty but it's not to her standards . She rubbed a finger print off a mirror and laughed sarcastically once .
Blonde that's amazing , glad it went well.

Changed the pram over tonight . It looks lovely , I wonder how she will like it hehe .

Carolann8584 · 02/08/2017 00:37

Awww bet she'll love it Grin

DD did her usual tonight, crying in her sleep around 10:30-11ish. Once she did it the first time I made up a feed then about 10 minutes later she did it again so I dreamfed her, she's stayed asleep from 6:45.

Over the past 3 days I've tried the 3 hour routine blondes posted a while back with a minor adjustment she doesn't have a nap between her 4pm and bedtime feed. She's been going down for naps a lot easier I think she knows what's coming next. She's also settled quite quickly the past couple of night for bed. Ever since that bad night she had a few nights ago she's been a lot more settled.

I have noticed though she has full feeds at 4pm, bedtime, 11pm df, 4am but then half feeds at 7am and 10am then 1pm can be about 2/3 of a feed so wondering which to move or miss out coz she has 7 feeds and only finishes 4 of them. The full feeds are the ones she asks (cries/winges for but between 7am and 1pm she doesn't really bother I just feed coz of how long it's been since last feed.

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2017 06:25

Glad routine helped :) if not taking full feeds or not totally hungry maybe move her to 3.5 hrs then 4

We've finally gone to 4 as having veggies as well so rough day

730 milk
830 next week start breakie
9 sleep hr
11 milk
12 lunch
1230 sleep hr tho sometimes does 2
3 milk
330/4 sleep hr
430/5 tea
6 bath
630 milk
1030 df milk

I would like dd to sleep more then an hr more like 1.5hrs but she seems to like 3 x hr sleep daytime - occasionally does more but rare but she does sleep all night

MotherofA · 02/08/2017 06:29

Hope so hehe Smile maybe just make those ones smaller and see how she goes ? My lo was having less milk in the day too so I started making smaller feeds for those. That was even before weaning .
She woke at 1 am for 7oz and just now for 3.5 . Can't believe she slept through for around 2 months and now this haha knackered!

MotherofA · 02/08/2017 20:59

LO slept 2 hours straight in her pram while we went for lunch and shopping ..... seat is a winner ! Smile

purpleviolet1 · 02/08/2017 21:19

Still on the baby rice and had a horrendous evening. Crying hysterically. Even though the rice doesn't say milk in the ingredients could he be reacting to it? I'll give him a veg tomorrow instead. Was hoping the omeprazole would've helped by now and I thought we were slowly turning a corner Sad

We just started using the seat on the pram fairly recently - it can be used from birth as it goes completely flat but the bundle we bought included a carrycot. He much prefers the seat now, loves looking around everywhere!

You poor things purple. Could you take a break from the rice for a day or two to see if things improve without it?
Flowers

MotherofA · 02/08/2017 22:45

Bless you purple I would definitely try just boiling 1 veg per day and blending it . Maybe it's hurting his tummy or making him blocked ? Has he pooped ?

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/08/2017 22:51

Yah @mother. Long sleeps are lovely

@purple. Stop the rice. Its Obv not agreeing with ds

Try purée carrot - peas - parsnip

All good here still dithering whether to cut down df but dd does club it and I know if she drinks that at 10 she will def sleep till I wake her at 730am

Carolann8584 · 02/08/2017 23:06

I df DD at 10:30 tonight she was winging a bit in her sleep like she was trying to wake up. She had it all as usual. She had all of her bedtime feed as well.

She's been waking at 6:30 but not really wanting her first feed so instead of giving it to her at 7/7:30 gonna see how she does at 8. If she has her feed at 7 she only has half but will nap at 8:15 without fail til 10. So hoping if she has at 8 she will have more of it then have her nap slightly later. We shall see. Or will changing it confuse her?

Carolann8584 · 02/08/2017 23:08

Hope you LO has a better time with the veg than the rice tomorrow purple

purpleviolet1 · 02/08/2017 23:09

Funny you say that as he kept gulping and was very very distressed but then he also started straining which went on for a while (not totally unusual for him). When I changed him there was a hard stool but also runny stool (sorry for tmi!). Sounds like it's not agreeing. Forgot to ask DH to grab some veg when I just asked him to pop to asda.

MotherofA · 03/08/2017 08:37

Ah bless him. It won't hurt him to just have formula for a day .

Blonde do you have any ideas on why my lo has started waking several times in the night for a feed now after 8 weeks of sleeping through ?

Also how can I get her in regular nap times ? Seems like there's no routine here at all ! I've been logging when she goes down to try and get an idea .

I'm sure it wasn't like this with DD1 . Haha

Carolann8584 · 03/08/2017 08:49

Awwww bless. DD wake as usual at 6:30. Tried to get her to wait for her feed, usually has it at 7/7:30 today gave her at 8, as usual she wasn't crying for it but she was showing signs of being tired. She had 4oz which is 1 more than usual for breakfast but has fallen asleep 30 minutes early.

Carolann8584 · 03/08/2017 14:20

Just realised comparing yesterday and today's feeds. DD has had the exact same amount in ml. Only difference is yesterday it was spread over 4 feeds and today it's over 3 feeds

purpleviolet1 · 03/08/2017 16:26

It's a minefield eh? Mother same with my DS. Had been sleeping through for about 7 weeks and last few days he was waking earlier and earlier and gulping a feed down when offered. It could've been the reflux though for us and also that milk isn't satisfying him now. However last night he woke at 5ish and settled straight away with the dummy and got up at 7.15am which is more his norm. Hopefully we'll get back to that! The night awakenings have got me shattered....

I gave him puréed pear today but can't decide if he liked it or not!

OP posts:
MotherofA · 03/08/2017 18:22

That's interesting Carol , she seems to know exactly how much she wants then !

Purple it's more tiring when they start up again isn't it ! I'm trying to keep her up so she has a good feed before bed tonight and may possibly dream feed before I go to sleep .

Just try something new each day , they never look like they like it at first Smile

purpleviolet1 · 03/08/2017 19:04

Should I be offering something twice a day?

OP posts:
purpleviolet1 · 03/08/2017 19:04

Has anyone stopped sterilising?

OP posts:
Carolann8584 · 03/08/2017 19:27

Hmm DD is getting too long for her sleeping bags, we have 3 that are short enough to fit in the Moses but now they are a getting a bit snug in length. We have more but they are too long for the Moses they are for when she moves into her cot. Really wanted to avoid setting up her cot in our room. At the rate she's growing especially in length she wont last until shes 6 months before she out grows her sleeping bags and Moses

Shes had 5 feeds so far today and had a total of 25oz. Will be doing a df later so she should have another 5oz then. That's the same amount of food as yesterday in less feeds.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/08/2017 19:55

manic day seeing friends and yet again dd passed out 620pm and in bed sparko

@mother, generally babies of our age are ready for a sleep 1.5/2hrs after they woke up

so try and start the day at the same time, and if asleep at that time then wake, ie i startday at 730, 99% i have to wake dd then, she prb would sleep till 8 but then breakie milk and am nap are all later and it doesnt suit us, shes normally back in bed at 9 and will sleep till 10

waking coz possibly hungry? and if not weaning, sorry cant rem if yu have started, then start, if have then add extra meal till 3 meals a day

@carolann, dd has 3 feeds? what age is she? would expect least 4 if march baby

@purple, we still sterlise, will till she is least 9mths/crawling, to which by then there isnt much point if licking the dog bowl Wink
