KZ who is tiktok?

PavlovtheCatthatgottheCremeEgg · 04/04/2007 22:46

I know you are right KZ, He just takes it so personally. We did not do parenting classes, I think he had such a shit relationship with his father, who did not care much for his children that he so wants to be able to do it right for our LO. I have tried to get him to understand that she absolutely needs him, and this will grow and grow as she gets older, and that as a mum my relationship is inevitable as virtue of being a woman, but that it does nto change the importance of his role. He just seems to think I am humoring him. He thinks that my breastmilk is less good now LO is over 6 months and that she can get what she needs from formula now, and then cow's milk at 12 months. I think that, as she is refusing, for the most part, bottles, why bother trying to force her. Just give her what she wants? She is going to be denied lots throughout her life, this is one thing that I can give her an abundance of without question. Or so I thought
I am sure I will get my own way in the end, subtly or less so. I am stubborn. So, it seems, is my daughter!

Morning ladies

kayzed-got it thank you v. much. It is so interesting. It describes perfectly what Sophie is doing i.e. playing with my nips instead of getting on with the job. It said that older babies drain your boob in 3 mins and that is literally all Sophie does so I thought she couldn't be getting enough-so perhaps she is. It also says about cows milk in a cup is OK for 6 months onwards for BF babies anyway. I will listen to what the HV has to say and nod politely. Sophie doesn't wake during the night for a feed only when she is poorly like at the moment. She fed for about 10 mins at 4am until the clock radio distracted her.

Be back later.

xxx

P.S. My 2 disgusting orange bibs that I put on the line on Tuesday are now pristine white so it really does work.

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner · 05/04/2007 20:04

Ah, just me on here today then

HV came round and luckily I didn't have to get my norks out-phewee! 9 month old babies should be having at least 21 oz spread over 4 feeds per day. At one year they need 20 oz but you can use some of this in sauces and on cereals. Haven't had time to try the hand expressing so don't know how successful it will be.

Hope you all enjoyed the lovely sunshine.

Happy Easter!

I can't beleive it just wrote a huge thread and lost the lot!! Grrrrr......

Basically...

I logged on specifically tonight to find out how having your breasts fondled by the HV was for you HC, glad it didn't happen! Toby no way has 21 ozs a day, maybe 16 at most. packs a serious punch my "little" one and bats it across the room if I try to insist..

Had a great day today, playground and woods this morning, beach this afternoon. DS1 knackered, but still had energy enough to get up 8 times after bedtime for a wee that he did'nt need It's his new thing...

Awake since 5 am - my sons now play "tag" in the mornings - H up at 5am for a wee, goes back to sleep after tagging Toby who sings for half an hour in his cot before falling asleep after tagging H who wakes up to come in our bed then falls asleep after tagging Toby who then wants milk....zzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

IamBlossom · 05/04/2007 21:14

Happy Easter gang.

usandnosleep · 06/04/2007 11:12

Hello everyone!

I don't seem to find the time to get on here as much as I did, not sure what I'm doing with my time

How are you feeling HC? Have you been to the docs about your lumpy thing? I really think you should, one less thing to think about then Hope you're feeling brighter? {{hugs}}

Bloss- you must be knackered before you day even starts!

Hi pretty Hope you're enjoying the sunshine.

Pavlov- I think a lot of fathers feel the same way, stick to your guns. I now stand back a lot when DP is home and leave he and Zack to it. As soon as DP gets home from work Zack wants him! (until he begins to feel tired then only mummy will do!)

Hi Wallace The weather is gorgeous!

Hi Ceebee - How is your LO doing today? Sounds like you're handling everything really well, I think I'd have started going mad after weeks of illness and you juggle work too!

KZ- Roshi is BEAUTIFUL! Love seeing pics

Lysettes- Are you loving your new house? I LOVE moving whether I'll feel differently now we have the Z.......

Impy- sounds exciting, do you get to hear lots of celeb gossip?

Annie- I love your pics, gorgeous, gorgeous and they make me want a sibling for Zack.......

Sleep- Its great to have you back!! It feels like you have been away for ages, so glad you had a lovely time. Have you got holiday pics you could post, would love to see Sefton x

Agalch- Hope the weather lasts for you and you have a fantastic day x

First- Hello! PMSL at 'evils' I can just imagine, hehe! I'm glad your nights have settled down a bit, at last hey?!

Beadmum- Is Charlotte better? Sounds awful

Mae- How are your nights? Sending you zzzzzzzz vibes xx

twinkle- Your house will never look the same now that Aidan is on the move

Kbaby- Your Sunday morning last week sounded bliss! And we'll let yo gloat because you've earned it.

AuntyMandy- You still clicking those needles?

Just between you and me, Sshhhhh, Zack goes down at 8 ish wakes between 1 and 2 for a feed and then goes back down till 6 ish wakes for a feed then goes back down for another hour. Please, please let it last.........

We went to a farm with my sisters and nephews this week and Zack loved it! He was fascinated by the animals, it was lovely.
We're taking him again this weekend so that DP can come too.

I worry about saying too much because I don't want to jinx anything! Zack is also eating 3 meals a day and very happily too.

Be back later, been writing this since 7am. None of it will be relevant at this rate!

KoshkaAndJake · 06/04/2007 12:17

I think shes famous! I was reading Practicle parenting and it had a quote from a Jane with a baby Evie thats 8 months (so could be 9 now) own up!!!

Jakes ok. he doesnt sleep at nihgt in his cot i wake him up as soon as i come to bed, but as long as i live with my mum then i do not have any other choice.

HumphreysYummyChoccyEggCorner - found you!!!!

Thanks for my congrats on my thread. hope you're doing well.

IamBlossom · 06/04/2007 20:05

Hi Kosh, great to hear from you, have been thinking about how you are getting on.

Hi Sleep, glad you are back!!

Us that was a seriously impressive thread. I wish I could be more like you and personally acknowledge every person, hope everyone knows I read and laugh at/sympathise with/congratulate every single post. I hope Frenchleave comes back, I think i pissed her off with my post regarding food etc, didn't mean to.....

Well what a fantastic day. This Summer is going to be a scorcher apparently, hope my two blondies don't get burnt, am going to be totally paranoid about them all Summer like I was with H last year. Soph, do you stress about your blonde little Toby in the Sun?

We have had two massive days, outside the whole time. Today we went to the park this morning, took my nephew with us while his mum cleaned our house (hurray!) and I practiced having three children. Not too bad as he pretty much takes care of himself (he is 5) and H plays with and hero worships him. So they ran themselves ragged, came back for lunch and sleeps then we went to my parents up the road for an easter tea, both my sisters and various international waifs and strays were there as per usual, good fun. My Dad has been away alot recently sailing, and H has really missed him, it was "Poppa" this and "Poppa" that, and he kept running up to kiss him it was soo cute, you could see he was dead pleased. Everyone loves to be loved don't they? So they are all now asleep, I have a glass of Rose and Mumsnet, and Dh is at the pub having spent the afternoon making our back garden look splendiferous.

KZ, Roshi is so gorgeous, she looks about 4!!!!! Do you reckon you will have any more??? In fact who hear thinks they will???? Hands up... HC, do a roll call.....

Won't be back online till Monday-ish, have great weekends in the sun all.

Much love and chocolate,

Bloss

xxxx

Happy easter everyone.

Ive been away to Perth with work this week. DH was left in charge of DC and coped well; he did give DS calpol one night though to help him sleep (to make sure DH slept more like it) we were going to start CC tonight as DS is just getting ridiculous with his sleeping. He goes down ok at nap time awake so I tried putting him to bed awake on Tuesday and he cried for 5 mins before throwing up so he obv can do it at nap time but not bed time. Hes now either having good nights where he wakes once or will wake up to 8 times a night. Thers no pattern to it. Were not doing CC tonight though as he was sick earlier on today and so it?s not fair to do it. I am dreading it though if Tuesdays experience was anything to go by.
He was so tired today the poor thing that he fell asleep sat up in the trolley at Asda today.

DD has tonsillitis bless her and so is finding it hard to eat and is sooo whingy it?s driving me up the wall. Hope DS doesn?t get it.
Ds has found his own unique way of getting about. We have wooden floors so he sits down and pushes himself backwards with his hands to move about. Hes moving on to his knees but just collapses so im not sure how long proper crawling will be.

Oh I hope my stain removing tips help or youll all be cursing me.
Kz- Love the pic of her sleeping in her highchair.

DS must be the baby of the bunch. He is 8 months and 5 days.
Blos- I don?t think I would have any more. I am seriously broody and loved being pregnant but I seem to always have high maintenance babies and don?t think I could cope with another baby who doesn?t sleep and is clingy. I dream about the days when DS is 2 and can play and amuse himself like DD can now. Then again I look at all my maternity clothes and think ?Maybe just one more? I think the solution would be to be a surrogate mum I get to be pregnant and have another lovely birth experience but without the sleepless nights.
Oh heres some more pics
being nosey
a bit of washing, and also the 1st time he stood up without letting go and falling

usandnosleep · 06/04/2007 21:06
