Have taken the opportunity of bugger all on the telly (ie Liverpool? ) to catch up again

Hugs Beadmum, poor Charlotte Sounds like a good idea to get MIL to help out so you can get a break.

HC - yes, get ye to the docs re the lump. Highly unlikely to be anything sinister I would have thought, but the fact that it is worrying you (and DH) means you must go.

Kayzed - I think it?s these Cancerian gals, they are SO moody! Emma has developed a fine range of facial expressions, ranging from a curtain twitching-style raised eyebrow at whatever?s going on, through to an Elvis lip curl of wtf disdain through to full on histrionics and breath holding screaming. The girls at nursery say she has started giving people ?evils? when she disapproves of something or someone

On the plus side she does have a charming smile and is also doing the one-handed puppet wave. I?m trying to teach her clapping but no success yet. She loves clicking her tongue though and is highly delighted when anyone does it back at her and she ?clicks? back aaaaw. It has replace raspberry blowing as her favourite trick. It does seem like all of a sudden she?s not a baby any more and has a very definite personality and will of her own.

Thanks girls for the comments re bf and expressing The bf is fine, especially now it?s not so frequent, but the expressing is a right PITA, especially now that she has developed an awareness of the breast pump and keeps trying to kick it and rip out the power cable, grrrrr. Not sure what caused the sleeping improvement, the only thing I can think of is the old HV chestnut of ?more solids?, it did seem to coincide with her starting on 3 meals of solids a day. Maybe at this age it does make a difference as they are able to eat proper meals, (unlike at the start of weaning when it?s just the odd ice cube sized blob). She also sleeps better in her own room where it's totally quiet. But who knows, there?s no rhyme or reason to it really.

Annie - I can?t see your pics, but a very odd thing happened when I tried to link - I got a MN screen asking me to log on again, and when I did I got a photo of a bloke who said he was ?Tech? from MN! I?m sure you didn?t give birth to him so he can?t be DS1 Are they the pics that are on your profile? They are great, love the one of Kayley on the car.

Have good nights all xxx

Morning all

Haven't read all these posts, will do after this tho.Hope you are all well and the babies are good too.I have been absent from mn except reading the odd thread and posting my weight loss on the BigMoFo's thread.I have no time at the minute between the wedding next week and the kids being off for Easter break and my 2 lovely(grrr) dd's.

God it is just hitting me now that this time next week i will be different.I will not be Ms * but Mrs .Tell me all of you old married ladies got a wee bit nervous about your big day please???

The girls have been unwell really since Christmas, every week i have had one or other(or both) at the docs.Am having to take dd1 back this week as her cough is still here, would be nice to have them both ok for the wedding.Am feeling frazzled as dd2 although taking food really well, eating 3 good meals per day plus snacks(so no bf in the day)likes her milk and feeds 3-4 times in the night.I will look like an old bag on my big day, will need lots of make up lol.

Really feeling for HC and the rest of you with horrible in laws. Now i hardly ever swear on mn so please forgive but i FUCKING hate mine. They have been away for 6 months and decide to just pop in on Monday with no warning.I was up to my eyes in it,house a mess me a mess the usual.
MIL never mentioned my obvious weight loss.I mean jesus she must have noticed? FIL made both dd's cry and moaned that they were being funny with him. WTF??? They don't even know you dickhead? And do you know the worst thing? Having to tell dp that his parents had popped in when he was at work, they didn't even have the decency to wait till he was back from work.Thats how little they care about their son and

Anyhow tell me to get a life if you think i am moaning over nothing will post later when i can be nice/sensible.Hope you all ahve a good day!!

IamBlossom · 04/04/2007 09:58

SleepIsForTheWeak · 04/04/2007 10:55

Hi all,
Back from my lovely holiday! Wont be able to catch up on 6 weeks worth of posts!
Hope all the babies are well and not too much of a handful?
Well S is 9 months tomorrow (been on the outside the same length of time as the inside!), he is crawling very fast now and pulling himself up. Loves his bouncer thing, bounces so high I am sure it wasn't designed for that
Teething a lot but no teeth yet. He is a real smiler though, gets everyone wrapped around his finger with that grin.
The long haul flight back just me and him was hard work, but he was good thankfully.

What are Canerian boys characteristics? I have heard they are slightly psychic? Not sure about that!

good to be back, cant wait to catch up with all your news
x

AnnieOleTing · 04/04/2007 11:19

Morning all!!

Yeah I got that funny bloke from Tech too when I linked it after I had posted... V Strange. I definitely didn't give birth to him, dunno what's going on. The pics are on my member profile anyway, for those of you lovely people that want a peek.

Sleep, welcome back!!

Algach, BEST OF LUCK!!! for next week. I'm sure it'll be FAB!! You'll be only gorgeous. Sympathies with your ILs, I hate mine too, well hate is a strong word, but they do drive me up the walls and down the other side. Try not to let them bother you (easy to say I know) it's YOUR day!!! CONGRATS!!

First, it sounds like you have everything sussed!!

Beadmum, for Charlotte, hope she's better soon.

KZ, you're right (as ever!), they're developing all at once now. She's getting stronger at standing, and even let go yesterday for a split second [PANIC!]I'm sure Roshi will just stand up and go one day!! Skip the crawling, straight to walking.
DS is nearly two, there's 15 months between them. Not sure if I told ye the story, after I had DS I was diagnosed with RA, so couldn't move hardly, and they told me if I wanted another baby to do it before starting treatment, so they gave me some steroids so I could move (quite important for making babies) and BAM, first go I was up the duff again. Then six weeks after K was born I started treatment, which still hasn't worked so now I'm starting these new fangled biological drugs, which I got on Monday, where I inject myself every two weeks. Sorted. Am still on steroids so I'm feeling ok, but starting to acquire horse features, such as increased appetite and a few more hairs... Nice! Anyway, can't complain, it could be some incurable thing that they can't control, at least I can get it under control and get on with it.

HC, hope you are feeling a bit better! The ole chardonnay is the best medicine I always say! Good luck with your boss, remember, YOU are the important one, YOU call the shots! GO girl...

Right, best do some work I suppose. Or coffee...

Have a good day everyone!

Annie

ImpyChica · 04/04/2007 11:26

Thanks for all your support re. the mastitis, sweeties. Feeling much better and hoping it doesn't rear its ugly head again.... (and, yes, F@F - I did get fluey symptoms....)

Bloss, that day out in London sounded lush! What a fab treat (which you thoroughly deserved, of course).

Ceebee - hope Josh is feeling better - what a nightmare. Ryan's always got a cough and slightly runny nose but least he's not sick with it anymore - he used to chuck up all his milk after a coughing fit and it was really scary. Now he seems to put on his cough when he's crying as a way of garnering sympathy...

HC - could you and your DH go away for a weekend on your own? I know money's tight - but just a cheap b&b somewhere different might help you and him connect again..... Maybe you just need a break from all the routine and some quality time together.

All this blowing kisses, waving, saying 'bye-bye', clapping etc is lovely! I sometimes get sad that the baby stage is quickly disappearing but all these new stages are so sweet, they more than compensate. Can't say that Ryan is doing much of the above though.... He chats away and says "ma ma ma" loads. We're expecting him to come out with all sorts of nonsense as his speech develops - going to a Spanish nursery and living in an English-speaking household....

Annie - can't believe Kayley is trying to stand!!! Ry doesn't even seem to realise he's got any legs! (I'm not painting a very impressive picture of my DS am I?!) V cute pix on your profile page (I got the same random tech guy when I clicked on your link!)

F@F - poor you with the expressing palaver. Do you try and express while Emma is feeding on the other side? I always found that way the most effective - but that was months ago and I guess it's much trickier with a bigger, more wriggly baby.... Ryan refuses his bottle of formula at the nursery nowadays (he's there from 9-2) - he just drinks water and eats puree. I have read that 9 month old babies (don't know if Emma's that old yet) can cope with bf morning and evening and just water and food during the day.... but I tend to bf at 3pm anyway....

Kamikazed - good tip on the grated ginger - it's a good cure all. Roisin sounds like she's got some serious attitude! How funny! I know what you mean about seeing glimpses into a future of toddler tantrums - Ry often as a little freak out and it's like a sneak preview of the fun to come....

Beadmum - sorry Charlotte's poorly. Hope she picks up v soon. I'm with you on the kitchen re-fitting! Ikea came and delivered all the units today and they're fitting it on Monday..... So it's been a month of living bed-sit styley. Washing up in the bathroom sink - ewwwww! Eating microwave meals - yum. not. And having all manner of dangerous kitchen implement on the lounge floor (so thankful Ry's moving minimally!)

Not long to go Algalch!!! How exciting! I'm sure you'll look divine. Sorry your in-laws are doing your head in.

Hi Sleep! Ry is 9 months tomorrow too! (one of the oldest on the thread and by far the laziest!) Glad you had a great holiday.

Well hope you all have a great Easter. Thurs and Fri are the holidays in Spain but I'm working both (grrrr!). As I say, "celebrities don't stop for Jesus"! (I work for Hello's website). Hugs y'all. Impy x

ImpyChica · 04/04/2007 11:30

Blimey Annie - what is RA? Sounds pretty serious. But also sounds like you've got a great attitude about it. Hope the treatment goes well. x

AnnieOleTing · 04/04/2007 12:53

Hi ImpyChica!

Happy 9 month birthday to Ryan tomorrow!!
Hope you are feeling better booby-wise, must have been pretty painful. Did you keep feeding through it?
RA is rheumatoid arthritis, thank you for your concern. It can be debilitating, but I've been on lots of painkillers, steroids etc, so the symptoms are masked, so I've been able to play with the babies and go to work, fairly normally. With these new drugs though, hopefully I'll be even better, and may well be able to get back to some kind of fitness, yoga or something like that.
HOoraay!

Annie

Ceebee74 · 04/04/2007 13:15

Bloss ? lol at making an omelette ? are your cooking skills really that bad??

Annie ? lol at your link ? do you have a secret crush on Tech?? What cute photos ? love the one between the legs.

F@F - well done on the expressing ? I really admire your dedication to do that.

KZ ? I have got one of ?those? babies too ? Josh also screams when I wipe his nose, wash his face, change his nappy etc ? I have often thought the same as you in that is this a sign of toddler tantrums which scares me a little! Is Josh a cancerian being born on 14 July?(I am pretty useless at star signs)

Beadmum ? hope Charlotte gets better soon and what a time or her to be ill. It is crap isn?t it?

Agalch ? good luck for your wedding, hope the sun shines as it is doing today. (And don?t forget, we need photos asap ) Have to admit your IL?s sound very selfish and self-absorbed ? how awful for your DP (ooh, soon he will be your DH!) to have parents that don?t want to see him.

Sleep ? welcome back hun ? glad you had a fab holiday.

Impy ? how exciting your job sounds ? do you get to know all the gossip first then?

Josh seems a little better today ? kept down most of 2 bottles this morning. He is in his cot asleep now ? he is so good at going to sleep now in his cot, it is fab. I think it is nursery that have done it because he would never settle in there before he went to nursery but now I just put him in as soon as he looks tired, pop a dummy in and off he goes with no whinging crying or anything ? fantastic!

Just trying to decide whether to go to work tomorrow ? he does seem on the mend but he is still doing runny poos (TMI!) so do I risk going to work knowing that nursery may ring me (they have a limit of 2 runny poos) and is it fair to take him if he is still infectious? Don?t know what to do!

It is a gorgeous day here ? just walked up to the gym and back to sort out my membership (the only exercise I can get at the moment with DH being away) and it is so warm.

Lysettes · 04/04/2007 13:27

hi everyone haven't looked at any mesages as in internet cafe as we have no internet access at the new flat!

the move went fairly well, although dh and i had a massive slanging match on sunday afternoon but it really cleared the air so that's something and he has been much better since then! i told him he needed to spend two days and nigts with jacob on his own to see what actually went on - that shut him up!

no weight loss this week although i haven't been to the gym much this week and we ate really bacly on the weekend!

jacob passed his 8 month tests with flying colours [proud mummy emoticon] as he's technically classed as 6.5 months so they weren't even supposed to do the development test till 10 months! although he's got sticky eyes today and keeps rubbing them poor little man.

anyway, must go as far too many errands to run and never enough time to do them!

stay warm everyone, it's brassic out there

IamBlossom · 04/04/2007 14:12

yes Cee bee my cooking "skills" really are that bad. I have now added Omelette to my repetoire of things with mince (lasagne, Shepherds Pie, Spag Bol, savoury mince (have never actually made that one but it follows that I could...)) and my on-toast range is also fairly impressive...anyway Dh is the new Jamie Oliver, and if God wanted us all to cook why did he invent cereal??

IamBlossom · 04/04/2007 14:15

Hope those drugs do the trick Annie. LOL at your "busy looking shapes" from an earlier post, I have to remember that one.....

Just gave Toblerone Calpol, speaking of drugs. He is really teething, poor thing. Not that I am MENTIONING teeth, as my filling still isn't right, and I think if I go back this dentist will really think I am making it up!! I can't chew all my food on my right side of my mouth for the rest of my life though can I?? Not even cereal...

AnnieOleTing · 04/04/2007 14:39

Ceebee, LOL, damn, you've sussed out my secret... tasty Tech eh?? No?

Lysettes, glad the move went well, hope you settle in soon. Well done to Jacob on his 8 month check!

Hi Bloss Hope yours and Toblerone's teeth get better in time for lots of chocolate egg eating.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE

Annie

PavlovtheCatthatgottheCremeEgg · 04/04/2007 20:22

Hey everyone I am still here!
Its been a busy busy couple of weeks, sorting out worky stuff, stressful to say the least, but getting there.

DD is teething, three teeth coming through at once, and has been very grizzly, well not so much grizzly as fussy, clingy (or maybe thats seperation anxiety kicking in? )

She has first full day at nursery today, it was horrible, I hated it. I just wanted to go and get her. DP and I had a bath together (he had day off), then had coffee/breakfast, and then I went to feed DD, we went shopping (intending to be quicker without DD, went with DP, probably longer!). I made some soup for tea, for all of us, we tidied the house up a bit, hung out washing, did a bit of gardening, but the whole time I wanted to go and see DD. She found it harder today, took longer to settle, but this afternoon apparantly she was happier, although refused any food!

I will read through some of the million posts, but in the meantime, hope you are all well.

PavlovtheCatthatgottheCremeEgg · 04/04/2007 20:35

I should give a lil refresh on DD's progress so far since I last spoke, a few things happened, so here goes, try not to bore you all too much!

She has started waving, hand held sort of sidewards/inwards, she waves at everything now, and only started yesterday! Very pleased with herself! She waved at her teddies this morning when she got up!

She has stood up independently. No help from me or DP or furniture. She got up from her bottom with arms up in the air as she wanted our attention [proud mummy emoticon], did that last week.

She can now walk with her winnie the pooh train.

She can climb her travel cot/play pen, and the fire guard. She is like a rockclimber!

She drank out of a bottle, which she held herself! Got one of those oval ones with hole in the middle, she loves it as she can do it herself, although with a little unseen help from one of our fingers pushing it up for her! If she thinks we are doing it for her, she stops and refuses to drink. She is a very independent child, I think its going to be trouble as well as positive as she grows!

She can pick things up with her thumb and fore finger, however appears only to be things that we dont want her to have, like tiny bits of paper!

She has lots of teeth coming through!

She is not, however, saying mama and dada lots, she says dada sometimes, or dja dja, but mama only occasionally. Although she said it when DP brought her home from nursery and she held out her arms for me! Aw .

There, an update, might be more if I think if them, but so far so good!

Pavlov - wow what a clever little girl you have doing all those things - you must be SO proud.

KZ - what a beautiful little girl Roshi is - she looks so mature and has really pretty eyes. Happy 9 month birthday to her

KZ - your LO is gorgeous! Love the one of her asleep in her highchair!
I do have some piccies, but they are in camera and I am on laptop not PC, will need to download some, might take a while.
Can links do video, or are they just for photos?

PavlovtheCatthatgottheCremeEgg · 04/04/2007 20:56

OMG, Dp has finally shown me the easter card that DD 'made' us for us at nursery! Its cute but methinks that she did not a jot of it herself, even though it looks like a childs artwork. She is clever, but I really dont think she is that clever! Still, its going on the fireplace just the same!
