LTH - sorry, i know it's not funny, but i had to laugh at the thought of you screaming primevally at the staffy!! the only dog i've ever met that i liked was a "staffadore" which is a labrador/staffy cross! totally mental!

Zac's not been sick since this afternoon, when he was sick just as i was putting him in the sling! he managed to get it down the arm of his snowsuit, which was interesting! he's seemed fine since we got back from the dr's - a bit whingey but i wouldn't be happy if i was feeling sick either. he's taken a couple of proper feeds and went to sleep at his normal time (about 8) although we've kept him downstairs with us tonight as i don't trust my monitor to adequately pick up the sound of a baby choking to death on his vomit. yes, i am that paranoid!

In all your honour George is dressed today

I'm still in my dressing gown though...

RGee · 27/02/2007 09:58

LTH I am impressed!!!

Lizz - my lo has the 3 hour alarm clock. I wish I could trade it in for a 4 hour one.

JodieG1 · 27/02/2007 10:00

LTH- we don't have a rountine either. Ethan comes up with me when I go to bed and we feed whenever he wants. I dislike rountines though and never used one with the other kids either. We just go with the flow

I think every baby is different ds dident sleep through properly untill he was about 7/8 months he constantly woke about 5am for a bottle the health visitor told me to offer him water instead of the bottle she said we would have a few unsetteled nights but then he would realise there was no more milk, she was right after about 5 nights he cracked it.

Dd routine

Crap in the day sleeps when she wants however I am strict with her bottles and if she is asleep I wake her up to feed her she has one every 4 hours so 8am/12/4/8. About 7.45 I bath her and I do this every night as I like her to have a bedtime routine approx 8.15 bottle time 5oz wind her then I swaddle her in a sheet as this is the only way she will sleep pop her in moses basket and upstairs in her own room between 9 and 9.30, she wakes up a around 2.30 for another bottle straight back down till between 6 and 7.

Eah dh can be a right old pain in the arse my dh hasnt done a night feed yet, I dont mind in the week as he has started a new job at the bank and for his position he has loads to learn as he used to be a manager in a travel agents so its a totally different career and he has loads of studying to do HOWEVER he dosent have to get up for work at the weekend but he still thinks its my place to get up and feed her not sure he would be able to settle her though so he would probably end up waking me up to sort her out. Now this is where I get really pi*ed off my dh likes horse racing every year him and his mates go to the cheltenham festival which basically is a four day meeting however they always go on a monday and get back on the saturday they stay in a bed and breakfast now I dont mind as they have been going for years and he did buy this years tickets last year before I found out I was pg, he goes a week on monday when he gets back he is off to telford for a week away with the bank that is the last week of his course so technically out of his control not his choice to go, my friend text me last night and asked did I want to go and see take that in november at birmingham I was so excited told dh he said you cant go as me and the lads are back to cheltenham that weekend for more horse racing well I flippin hit the roof, told him I was going no matter what so its up to him to sort out whos having the kds , all I can say is selfish little twt.

LadyTophamHatt · 27/02/2007 11:30

You'll all be pleased to hear I'm now dressed....

Jodie, I'm gald I'm not the only one not following a routine. I do wake him for a feed every 4 hours but apart from that we just go with the flow.
I sometimes have to wake him sooner than 4 hours if I've got to pick the big DS's up from school or something and I@v found that he drinks his milk quite well because he's getting used to being woken for it.

Actually I say I wake him, 90% of the time he stays asleep, and drinks it all, then burps without even realising

laughalot I am going to try and get tickets for take that with my best friend we are hoping to get london ones for the 1st or 2nd december, told dh last night that we intend to make a day of it, heading up mid morning to do some window shopping then get something to eat etc and he just said okay I'll make sure I book the day off when you knwo what date you are going - I went on the floor I am assuming the cooperation is due to the weekend we just had but hey not complaining. He then text bf hubby and they have decided they are taking all the kids (ellie be 3.3 hattie 11 months bf dd 3.6 and her baby roughly8 months depending when he/she arrives in april) out for the day get something to eat and then all end up back at one of our houses for the night.

BF & I are so excited we were massive TT fans in our 'yoof' and we even met them outside local tv studios once, we all lied to our parents that we were at each others houses and actually went to studios at 4 in the monring I'd probably kill one of my dd's if they do that!!!

Just been reading the thread in chat about food for kids, don't think some of the mums on MN would approve of dd's lunch tomato ketchup roll, however, she asked for it and if she eats then thats fine (it was a wholemeal roll )

Hattie2 · 27/02/2007 13:21

EAH - my dd had a cheesestring with her lunch and thanks for the tip off for TT tickets, do you know when they go on sale?

katwith3kittens · 27/02/2007 13:45

Routine ? what routine ?

The downside of having older children is that they are always doing something so its impossible to plan anything. Like Jodie, LO just goes to bed with me and feeds whenever he likes. We tend to put him in our bed anyway and then feeding is a doddle.

The inevitable has happened .... my white nursing bra is now a grungy grey as it was put in with a darks wash. I've only got 2 !

Went to John Lewis yesterday and ended up with underwear envy.. I want to wear matching sets again! Anyone know of any reasonably priced nursing bras which are pretty ?

laughalot · 27/02/2007 13:45

Good old eah with the numbers

ellieandhattie · 27/02/2007 13:45

oh shit whilst typing that forgot had cheese on toast under grill now the smoke alarm going off and bloody kitchen and dining room filled with smoke

katwith3kittens · 27/02/2007 13:48

Gosh how busy its become !

Used to go to toddler group with Gary when we lived near him in Cheshire.
We'd all just mumble when we sang Happy Birthday to a child just to hear him sing..
jealous hey ?

Just popping in from the due in April thread to ask - LTH, has anyone bought your Medela pump yet? I'd be interested if it's not already gone.

Thanks for the ticket info EAH!

Have (eventually) put some photos on my profile if anyone wants a peek. How do MN know how many children I have and how old they are?! Presumably I filled it in when I joined but I can't find out where to update it to say there's another one now - anyone know where I do this?

ellieandhattie · 27/02/2007 14:23

hattie - go to my mumsnet at top of page and change your profile details
