woolballs he is a bit better today, thank you. We only had two wake ups last night. I am pleased to report DS loves his munchkin 360! He's only had water from it and I had to hold it for him but he managed to drink from it really well. I'm not sure about milk, it didn't have anything on it to say about sterilising. I'll have a Google! We are not forecast snow thank goodness! I'm in the south east so it's probably a while off but it is jolly cold!

I'm trying to get DS to have a little nap but he is well and truly fighting it. So frustrating! He's so nearly asleep, if I give in and keep him up he will be a nightmare. Grrrrr!

Dottydoodoo · 08/11/2016 16:32

He's asleep!

Me624 · 08/11/2016 19:15

Hope everyone is doing ok. I was wondering how long you ladies would leave it before taking the baby to the GP for diarrhoea? DS has had it for about 6 days now. He is doing about 3/4 poos a day (standard for him since weaning) but they haven't been solid for days. Generally the first poo of the day which he does not long after waking is a sort of pasty consistency, much like it used to be pre-weaning, after that they are very watery. He is drinking lots of water, eating lots of food (and I haven't introduced anything new which might have caused this) and happy in himself so not especially worried about him but it seems like quite a while to be having diarrhoea.

Dotty good news on the cup, I've seen those cups and they look great. My DS didn't get the hang of his tommee tippee beaker for ages but then he suddenly just got it one day and loves drinking out of it now.

Yay for no having to pump Dom!

No snow forecast down here in the SE wool but it is much colder than it has been. DS gets super wrapped up now for walks - hat, coat and fleecy foot muff! I must buy him some kittens although I'm not sure he'll keep the, on!

Me624 · 08/11/2016 19:17

Lol mittens, obviously. Though he'd love kittens too - he adores our cat!

DomesticAnarchist · 08/11/2016 19:17

Thanks for the cup tip. As is usual, we're already 3 sippy cups in and no winners.

From your recommendations I've ordered a 2 pack of the 360s to add to the collection! Grin

DomesticAnarchist · 08/11/2016 19:19

Me if you're worried, just go to the doc.

If it were me - if he was weeing, and seemed bright and happy and interacting as normal then I'd probably leave it.

But if you're at all concerned, see the doc.

QforCucumber · 08/11/2016 20:56

wool we are on a yellow warning tonight, also n. Yorkshire edgings, teesside way.
Caught up on walking dead too - it's all so complicated at the end of the world haha.

Me we had the d&v bug last week but once better his poos stayed very runny for 6/7 days after. I had a telephone appt with gp who said it can be ok up to 10 days and anything longer to take him in. Typically next day was normal but was drinking/weeing ok throughout.

Ds was bitten by another baby today at baby group - the look on his face is haunting me. It's really bruised so must have hurt such a lot..other baby is 10 months so knows no better but didn't stop me wanting to stop them playing together. Poor boy.

May have to get a 360 am hearing nothing but good things, good luck with yours dom

FirstTimeMummy25 · 08/11/2016 21:45

So first day back at work is done... DS looked like he had lots of fun at the CM brought back a painting he had done with a sponge, the CM is braver than me imagine the mess Confused... if the state of his clothes were anything to go by! I was an emotional wreck all of last night and this morning I cried at the door when I dropped him off.
It's interesting seeing your feedback on munchkin 360 I was recommended it so brought one and it took me 10 mins to work out how to use it let alone DS Blush might try him with it again though now he's a bit older.
Hope poorly babies are better/getting better.
Me if your worried about your DS put your mind at rest and go see GP. I'm not sure what I would do if it was me, DS is usually the opposite however yesterday he had a slimy green nappy sorry if TMI I'm imagining it's teething though.
So I'm just sitting down for the night after sorting DS, cooking for us then putting DS down for the night, sterilising bottles, making lunches doing some washing, batch cooking some meals for DS in to freeze. How you super mummies do this with more than one child I take my hat off to you!!

Dottydoodoo · 08/11/2016 21:51

me that's strange isn't it. Maybe take him to the dr to ease your mind, I would if it was me but I'm a bit of a worrier!

Dom it is really good! We have a baby cup collection for one little baby! but I feel like the 360 has completed it.

Q aww no, your poor DS. Bless him. My DS seems to attract babies who want to stroke his head. He's not been hurt yet but I can see it happening. A baby crawled over to him at a group last week and was stroking his head and each stroke was getting more vigorous. I scooped DS up in the end other babies mum was too busy chatting to notice what hers was doing Confused but it did make me a bit anxious. Hopefully your little boys bruise goes away soon.

My DS has been completely off his food today. Could this be to do with his cold maybe? He's only had 580ml of milk all day, and it was a real effort to get him to eat. He wouldn't even eat his cauliflower cheese and he loves that. He's got a tooth that's just poked through too, his fifth one! Poor baby, a stinking cold and teething. I wish I could take it all away from him, he cries, properly cries, every time he coughs and he seems so sad Sad

MrsElls · 08/11/2016 22:19

q my ds went through a period where he was being bitten a lot at nursery. They don't tell you which child it was so no idea if it was a particular one or if they had all learned from each other! Ds took it all in his stride and strangely I was relieved in a way that it wasn't him doing the biting, it is awful when you see a mark on their perfect skin though Sad. I think it did make him stand up for himself a bit more but I would have preferred him to develop that confidence in a different way really!

MrsElls · 08/11/2016 22:20

Get well hugs to baby dotty.

Me624 · 09/11/2016 14:57

Thanks Dom and Q. I am busy tomorrow so won't have a chance to take DS to the doc until Friday, will see how he is tomorrow and if he's still having the diarrhoea tomorrow afternoon/evening then I'll see if I can get an appointment Friday - it will be 9 days by then so worth checking out I think. He leaked all through his clothes today Hmm luckily it was just before we went out and not when we were out!

MrsElls · 09/11/2016 16:01

me one of my Nct group from ds is a pediatric consultant, she passed comment once that her little one had diarrhoea, we all sent get well wishes and I remember her rather abruptly telling us that he wasn't ill he just had diarrhoea! I think if I had it for 9 days I would probably get myself checked out though!

Trinpy · 09/11/2016 22:44

Hope the diarrhoea stops soon Me. I agree with you that if it carries on for longer then it's worth getting checked out just to reassure you.

Sorry of hear about the poorly, teething (and bitten!Shock) babies. Hope they are all back to their usual selves soon.

Well done on the successful first day back FTM. I'm very impressed by the sponge painting - how did the childminder manage that? I think ds2 would've just tried to eat the sponge Grin.

I've been off the thread for a few days because I have a job interview tomorrow(!) for a job I really want so I've been doing lots of prep to give me a fighting chance of getting it.

Reading about all these teething babies - is mine the only one who doesn't have any yet?

Me624 · 10/11/2016 03:46

Just been up doing a full outfit and sleeping bag change for DS thanks to another leaky poo Hmm great timing there DS, he doesn't normally poo in the night but if he wakes and doesn't go straight back to sleep he then always seems to do one, thus delaying the return to sleep even longer!!

Trinpy DS doesn't have any teeth at all yet either. Can't feel anything under his gums, so doesn't look like they're coming anytime soon. Two of the babies in my NCT group don't have any either so doesn't seem like we're that unusual! Good luck for your job interview tomorrow!

DomesticAnarchist · 10/11/2016 06:31

Good luck Trinpy!

MrsElls · 10/11/2016 06:59

Good luck trinpy!

Dottydoodoo · 10/11/2016 07:25

Thank you mrsells he was better yesterday, and he slept really well last night. Pesky colds!

me and Trinpy there is a 10 month old at our sensory group who has no teeth showing through yet. My DS has number 5 poking through, if anything that's probably more unusual! I wish it would slow down and give the poor little guy a break.

trinpy, good luck for today!

QforCucumber · 10/11/2016 08:34

No teeth here yet either trinpy good luck today! I have one tomorrow - nerve wracking but sure you'll do brilliantly.

Timetogrowup2016 · 10/11/2016 09:43

One tooth here atm.

Good luck with the interviews

MrsElls · 10/11/2016 11:35

Oh good luck to you as well q.

2 teeth here but more on the way I think. I really must go and buy a baby toothbrush!

Timetogrowup2016 · 10/11/2016 12:18

I have one here but haven't used it yet .
When should you start ?

QforCucumber · 10/11/2016 15:01

Thanks all, it's in a school so term time only+1 week which would be just perfect. Fingers crossed I ace the interview.

Trinpy · 10/11/2016 17:07

Ooh good luck for the interview Q! I'm sure you'll be great Smile.

Time you're supposed to clean teeth as soon as they appear but with ds1 I used to just give them a a quick wipe when there were only 1 or 2 then started proper brushing after that.

Well I don't think I other the job Sad. There was a test as part of it which I only made it halfway through before I ran out of time due to nerves turning my brain to mush. Apparently I was also the least experienced candidate they interviewed which doesn't fill me with hope. I did well in the interview though.

Timetogrowup2016 · 10/11/2016 17:57

What an awful day .
Dd woke at 7 and has had one five minute nap.
She's in her cot now . Sleep baby ! Sleep !
