S has lots of naps in the sling too, which isn't ideal on a warm day. She used to sleep well in the pram but not really any more, I think she might be better in the big seat as it's cozier but can't remember how old she needs to be. I have a feeling it's three months but it might be six so I'm going to try to wait until then. Otherwise, she just falls asleep on me!

fs, could you put the sleepyhead in bed with you? Then once the baby's asleep you could move the whole lot across.

Swearwolf · 04/07/2016 11:03

maybe, some sling libraries lend by post, could you try that?

FS84 · 04/07/2016 11:15

Swear that's one thing I haven't tried. Will give it a go tonight, thank you!

Maybebabybee · 04/07/2016 11:38

I've just ordered a hop tye sling. We'll see how that one works out. I don't want to put him off his pram though as he's very happy in it - just won't stay asleep for long in it bless him.

Swearwolf · 04/07/2016 12:12

Ooh maybe I borrowed a hop tye with ds, it was lovely!! Very comfy. Watch some videos on YouTube for advice on how to tie it.

Good luck tonight fs!

TriJo · 04/07/2016 15:02

My boob is not happy with me today, righty hurts like hell if C's latch is anything less than perfect and it's tingling a lot after feeds. Can't use any of my cross body bags either. Not a happy camper :(

Place marking!

Just had a bit of a catch up of the last few pages of the last thread abs this one. I'm sure I'm in the same boat as most - sleep (still co sleeping) teething pain, too hot, hates the car seat, I am FED UP of being constantly milk drenched and smelling like a dairy and wearing the same three tops.

But we have roll over! He did a mammoth nappy so I left him kegless and but the nappy in the outside bin. I walked in just to see his naked tush flop over! (So I didn't technically miss it, yeah?) and he seems to enjoy tummy time when he does it himself. Then he decided 4am was the time to show daddy, rolling around the bed laughing his head off.
But let's have a photo update? I love seeing your little squishes. Here's G looking swell.

Oh he's so gorgeous wool and great news on the rolling! Definitely lets do a photo update. Here's my munchkin, 4 months yesterday.

Tri that sounds sore. No advice from me but I'm sure others with BF experience can help. Hope it sorts soon.

Sorry to hear the sleep woes, wish I had ideas but looks like last night was a fluke, hardly napped today and when he has it has only been on me - second I try to put him down there are screams :-(

We all deserve gallons and gallons of Wine me thinks

ohwool and rhu what absolute beauty's! This is us trying out the big boy pram instead of the carrycot!

Can I join in? Started on the antenatal threads (remember those?!) but dropped off.

My DS is now 14 weeks old and is an absolute joy most of the time! Except he isn't hitting 11lb yet, the HV doesn't think there is anything wrong but is visiting every 2 to 3 weeks for a weigh in!

Hello everyone! Not sure if anyone remembers me? I was on the antenatal threads but have been awol for a while due to extreme sleep deprivation.

Gorgeous photos everyone. Congrats on the rolling baby wool.

Here is my own March baby rolling over for the first time a couple of weeks ago. He's 15 weeks old now and I'm completely in love with him but finding the baby/toddler combination a bit lot knackering!

How are the other mums with 2 or more dcs finding it?

Have some of you been name changing? There's a fewe posters I don't recognise.

Me624 · 04/07/2016 18:49

Gorgeous piccies everyone!

DS refused his third nap today (normally a short 20-30 min cat nap about 5) and now he's falling asleep on his bottle! Not good as if he doesn't finish it he will wake stupidly early (and he's already a 5.30am riser most days!)

If it becomes a regular occurrence then I might have to bring bedtime forward by half an hour!

Q does your DS seem OK in the stroller? DS has millimetres left in the carrycot now but I've been hesitant to move him because mine says 6 months for the stroller? Surely most babies most grow out of the carrycots before then though!

QforCucumber · 04/07/2016 18:54

me ours says 6 months too but he likes to look around, though in that photo he's sat up when we go out I lay it to its lowest setting which Is almost flat. I can sit it up like that but need to put a rolled up blanket between his crotch and the strap otherwise he slides down and has an arched back. He seems to much prefer it to the carrycot.

Timetogrowup2016 · 04/07/2016 18:57

20 weeks tomorrow!
Just changed her wardrobe over to 3-6 months. So crazy. Tiny baby used to drown her :(.

Anyone heard from beaut and rosieblossom?

Welcome back trinpy! I'm a name changer, I stopped posting under mynameissuz when all the threads were getting printed in the daily mail - it really is my name and I got nervous!

vroc81 · 04/07/2016 19:30

Beautiful babies everyone!! Sorry to hear of the sleeping problems, day napping is not really happening here either, last night she was so overtired it took hours of screaming for her to go down.. Well it seemed like hours may have only been two...

We have swapped to the chair as ours was from birth anyway and only had the carrycot as it came with it from the person we bought it from.. She looks a bit drowned in it at the moment but was getting annoyed when awake that she couldn't see anything in the carrycot..

Here's a pic, off upstairs later to swap all the 0 - 3 clothes for 3 - 6 months.. Time seems to be whizzing by.

DomesticAnarchist · 04/07/2016 19:54

Hi Trinpy & Pixie Grin
I was 'Indomitable' on the antenatal threads.

DS2's been in the buggy chair since birth, on the odd occasion we've used it. But it's an old Quinny Buzz and stated as suitable, I think. (He's mainly been in a carrier though!)

He's also in 3-6 month clothes and has been for several weeks. He's 13 weeks and 14.5lbs (60th centile ish).

I'm currently eating my tea on our bed waiting for him to go to sleep. He's happily lying in his bed (swaddled still) making a few noises and looking around. Think he might start a real grump soon.

We had some front to back rolling earlier. But he wouldn't do it for DH this evening.

I've just been to the contraception clinic. They don't want to give me a coil till 6m+ post natal, but she said that BFing was 98% successful. I'm not sure I'm brave enough to risk it though. She gave me 6 months of the mini-pill in case I feel I need the extra protection.

Any experiences with any of this? I really don't want any more babies!

OP posts:
Maybebabybee · 04/07/2016 20:01

dom I was relying on bfeeding for contraception (well the one time we've done it since DS was born anyway) but last week I had a light brown bleed (sorry if tmi) that I assume was a kind of 'pre' period before the real ones return. So won't be relying on that any more!

Pretty gutted tbh as I am bfeeding both day and night and not supplementing. But apparently if you use a dummy your periods may return earlier as baby's sucking needs are not being fulfilled completely by you.

V annoying. I can't take hormonal contraception due to migraines and had absolutely horrendous periods on the copper coil so our options are limited.

Maybebabybee · 04/07/2016 20:01

No rolling here! DS is 15 weeks and exactly 15 lbs.

Swearwolf · 04/07/2016 20:42

No rolling here either! Is it bad that I can't remember how many weeks she is? They're all rolling into one Blush

Swearwolf · 04/07/2016 20:43

Ooh, 15 and a half it turns out!
