I think we should all post a Xmas pic of our 'babies' on fb - would love to see them all growing up (and sibs too).

MrsNutella · 15/12/2016 21:25

DD sings a song about autumn... but it is now interspersed with "kaka" which she thinks is hilarious. It isn't. It's getting a bit old.

And we get a lot of "Mummy/Papa is a wiggle pants" and then screaming laughter. They are both mad.

MrsNutella · 15/12/2016 21:35

Got it! It's Roberta Flack!

MrsNutella · 15/12/2016 21:36

Oops, wrong thread! Was asking for help with a song I had stuck in my head Grin

PurplePidjin · 16/12/2016 13:56

What a great idea wl

WLmum · 16/12/2016 19:15

Killing me softly is all I can offer pidj

MrsNutella · 16/12/2016 19:47

Wl that made me chuckle!

WLmum · 16/12/2016 21:56

nutella I wish I knew you in person - I bet we'd have a right laugh! I thought of you the other day at my works Xmas do when I was dancing with abandon!

MrsNutella · 17/12/2016 08:24

WL glad you enjoyed your dancing! Isn't it just more fun the more silly you get? Then you really can't stop even you are probably a sweaty mess Grin

Anyone interested in swapping? I have one overexcited as yet to be confirmed ADHD boy to offer. I'm looking for someone that might be interested in having their limits tested and is willing to loan me a quiet(ish) child. I'm looking for one that is closer to DD and will occasionally sit and colour/play with toys that sort of thing. instead of constantly running around screeching and squawkinglike a banshee

Barbeasty · 17/12/2016 14:43

I would if I had one Nutella

Apparently dbil (of the tightwad fame) has been complaining about how loud T is (compared to his perfect ds of course). So exactly why are you coming to my house for Xmas? Oh yes, the free food and drink of course! I'll swap him for ds - sounds like he'd fit right in here.

WLmum · 18/12/2016 06:31

It's Ts bday today - big 4! What now?
She's sleeping soundly, however dd2 woke me up half hour ago to tell me she was excited and couldn't wait for Ts bday. Ah and sshh!

MrsNutella · 19/12/2016 14:18

WL awwww I know I cannot believe the babies are all nearly 4! It seems huge! Hope she had a lovely day and got all the presents she wanted. DS wants a Yo-Yo for his birthday.

Beasty I would really like less screeching. The ability to spend longer than 30 seconds colouring would just be a huge bonus Grin

DS was at a party recently and all the other kids had done a cute painting. DS didn't want to until the last second so he just did a sort of blue smudge over the edge of the little canvas. It made me chuckle, he is who he is.

PurplePidjin · 20/12/2016 08:34

Nut r is yoyo obsessed too

WLmum · 20/12/2016 08:49

Thanks nut she had a fab bday weekend. If it helps, she's not interested in colouring either.
We're the house of lurg today - all called in sick so watching tv lined up on the sofa under my duvet.

MrsNutella · 20/12/2016 09:40

WL glad DD had a nice weekend. And re colouring... they all play to their interests and strengths and I sometimes need to appreciate that more. DS can build incredibly complex structures.
He is learning all sorts of skills at KiGa and next year I'm going to take him to a gymnastics thing to try out mostly because my mum keeps going on about it and I'm sure he will love it.

pidj it's a lightning McQueen Yo-Yo. I hope he will love it and not get too upset that he can't Yo-Yo straight away.... Grin

Barbeasty · 20/12/2016 10:55

We're all going down with colds, but I finished work yesterday Xmas Grin

I'm sitting in Sainsbury's car park killing time before I go and watch A in his preschool Christmas play then collect DD from school (which is a half day, but after the afternoon registration so counts as a full day!!)

A wanted (and got) Paw Patrol stuff for his birthday last week. He keeps trying to go everywhere in his Chase outfit.

R doesn't seem fussed, but after the first 10 minutes or so it hasn't been touched... gymnastics is awesome, r loves his and is desperate to learn to turn cartwheels 🤸‍♂️

Beast I love seeing kids out dressed up, is so let him (if he was warmly dressed underneath!)

Barbeasty · 21/12/2016 20:33

Don't mind it being worn out, not so keen on wearing it to nursery where it's likely to get lost or ruined!!

PurplePidjin · 23/12/2016 14:59

Before I run out of time...

Merry Christmas, puddings and mummies!!!

MrsNutella · 23/12/2016 16:25

Merry Christmas Pidj! And everyone else!

I forgot to buy a Christmas pudding when I was in the UK last month. Nevermind. Perhaps I can bribe my little bro to pick one up for me and post he new year. Then I can save it until my Mum arrives.....

We have ordered some superhero capes and eye masks for DS for his birthday. I'm quite excited, I hope he will enjoy playing with them.

WLmum · 23/12/2016 23:14

Merry Xmas one and all! Tomorrow is forecast for a whole lotta wrapping!Xmas Smile

Barbeasty · 24/12/2016 06:32

Happy Christmas.

I couldn't believe how much difference a year makes. I was baking and cooking all day yesterday, from about 8am to 5pm, and both DC entertained themselves all day with minimum fighting (and maximum tablet time).

There was a good hour of DD painting A's face as a bizarre looking tiger, and he just sat there for her.

OP posts:
MrsNutella · 26/12/2016 12:59

DS helped me by peeling some carrots... I also let him hack chop one up. But he lost interest very quickly and in the end I had to shoo him out of the kitchen.

We had a big roast chicken dinner today because we were st the PIL until yesterday evening. We also had some presents from my family to open today. We've had a really wonderful Christmas and we all got some lovely things.

Hope everyone is relaxing and enjoying some down time.
