WL i do enjoy not having him in the bed as well, although H usually ends up joining me in the middle of the night.

Nutella, welcome to the Uk hope your safely tucked up in bedand the journey wasn't too bad.

I am really struggling with ideas for Christmas presents for H this year.

MrsNutella · 17/11/2016 16:31

Yes we arrived eventually. It seemed to take forever! The kids were knackered but still took a while to go to sleep bastards they were a little over excited.

The Eurotunnel was cool but definitely an anti-climax for the kids. I think they expected to see water and fish since we told them we were going underwater.

We spent the day at the science museum today. They are vvvveeeeerrrrrryyyyyy tired!

halestone · 17/11/2016 23:10

I still can't get my headround the fact that they don't sleep when they are tired. Confused

WLmum · 19/11/2016 00:09

nutella to be fair, the tunnel would be way cooler if you could see fish etc. Like a giant aquarium.

WLmum · 20/11/2016 07:02

Small children should not be allowed after parents have been out late to parties. YAWN!

MrsNutella · 20/11/2016 22:13

Hales hopefully one day kids will come with an off switch! Or at least a mute button. Even if it only lasts 5 minutes.

We drive home tomorrow. I am so looking forward to my own bed. We went round Asda today and left the kids with my brother. We only had an hour and it was a little bit mad because I managed to delete my list (don't worry, I remembered paxo) halfway round, but I still enjoyed just being in the supermarket. The choice is awesome and the stock is gigantic.

Seriously, everyone should visit supermarkets in Germany. They are so so different.

DS has been hard hard work. Tired and over stimulated makes him very very buzzy and very very difficult to calm him down and stop him from really flipping out.

MrsNutella · 20/11/2016 22:14

WL a mute or pause button would also be appreciated by you Wink

Question on really confident people...dh and I went to a lovely party last night, at which a couple were dancing with absolute abandon, it was clear that they just loved it. Not the best dancers but no inhibitions at all. They weren't steaming either. How do people get like that? I know some is genes etc but I've always been self conscious and can't imagine not being. It was lovely and inspirational to watch them (helps that they are lovely people too).

WLmum · 20/11/2016 22:21

nutella so half you got the paxo!! We had a lovely roast dinner at dbs today, my only complaint is that there was no stuffing! I bloody love it.

WLmum · 20/11/2016 22:21

Hope the drive home goes well and isn't hampered by the weather. I bet you're exhausted too.

MrsNutella · 20/11/2016 22:35

WL on the dancing, it is something I do. I wouldn't describe myself as being really confident but if I'm having fun I just love to dance and can go pretty wild on the dance floor. I just don't care, I'm enjoying moving, the music and it makes me smile and laugh Smile

And I forgot to say, the people around London were lovely! They said that DD was gorgeous and made a fuss of both kids being lovely and polite. It made such a nice change. At home I get the feeling that whatever we do wherever we are children are not appreciated.

Even DH was asking me why waiting staff in various places were so friendly. Yesterday we were taken off to a corner to give the kids more room to bounce around in instead of a table in the middle and we were told how long the wait for the mains would be. So organised.

And at the checkout today the lady asked if we were ready before she started scanning. That never happens in Germany. It all gets scanned at lightning speed just like in Lidl and you are expected to move at lightning speed, but not necessarily pack it. Just throw it back in the trolley.

There. Rant over. Grin

WLmum · 21/11/2016 10:08

nutella I'm so glad your experience was positive. Hoorah for people being nice and welcoming to children!

PurplePidjin · 26/11/2016 15:15

Oops fell off!

MrsNutella · 26/11/2016 18:30

I was going to post something this morning about it being quiet in here.... where is everyone?!

DS was at a party this afternoon at the local soft play place. No idea what he ate there (other than chips) but he went to sleep quick so hopefully if he had chocolate he ran it off Wink
And it was very odd and quiet at home. DD is so quiet on her own. She just sits and plays or sings..... Confused

WLmum · 27/11/2016 18:22

It is weird with less than the usual number at home nutella!

MrsNutella · 28/11/2016 13:30

Jingle bells jingle bells..... I'm feeling a bit Christmassy Grin
How is everyone doing?

I have no idea what to get for DD! Confused

WLmum · 28/11/2016 23:03

nutella I love it! Dd2 and I had the best Xmas sing along yesterday, interspersed with some crazy dancing where appropriate!
Also love that I still find T curled up on her front like a frog when I check on her at night. So cute.

MrsNutella · 29/11/2016 09:08

I think it's just you and me here WL Grin

I might pop into the local Christmas market today. I like to buy everyone a Christmas tree ornament every year. Smile

PurplePidjin · 29/11/2016 12:32

I'm here

Barbeasty · 29/11/2016 13:40

I'm around too. Sitting at work with headphones on playing advent music.

I finally managed to see dad in hospital at the weekend (I have to be germ free, which is not easy with 2 DC!) He seemed so old. But he does hope to be out again in the next week or so.

Beasty glad you got to see your dad and fingers crossed for him getting out!!

WL we are not the only ones here! Grin I know hales pops in too. I miss hearing about what everyone's terrors are up to.

We recently had PIL here and it was for afternoon coffee and cake. DS wanted another piece of cake and MIL suggested he share one with her or FIL. DS said "I have a better idea, I will have a piece of cake and FIL can have a piece of cake".

Barbeasty · 29/11/2016 21:07

I like his style!!

Having thought we could hold off for a while before moving A into a high backed booster, the one that DD has in my car has fallen apart so now we will have to get 3. I'll be spreading the cost out I think.

WLmum · 29/11/2016 21:28

Hey everyone! It feels like a party!

WLmum · 29/11/2016 21:29

nutella ds is quite right. Cake is not for sharing.

WLmum · 01/12/2016 17:10

Officially the first day of winter!
