I got T an extended rear facing seat recently, it works rear facing or forward facing till around 12 years or 25kgs. Quite expensive, but not too bad. It's also not the easiest to fit in the car, means the front seat can't be adjusted (as it's the support for the car seat) and has fiddly clips. Still, safety over convenience (until it annoys DH so much he throws it out)

As for us, just been getting on with stuff. I've started on a diet which is proving hard work, hoping I see some benefits after though! It's called Whole30, you cut out loads of food groups, and it hopefully cuts your reliance on sugar as well as highlighting any food sensitivities you didn't know you had. I'm hoping it'll prove useful for my reflux, as well as being just generally healthy.

Hello everyone sorry i haven't been on for a while i don't even have an excuse. I am loving all the sewing talk, i am racking my brain trying to remember the name of a cheap fabric shop that has bases all over the Country and online as soon as I remember i will post it.

I missed H's hearing appointment after a letter giving us the wrong date came. I have cancelled it though after realising she is just ignorant Grin she overheard a conversation me and Dp were quietly having in another room.

Nutella when are you home? I would miss paxo stuffing if i lived in another country.

WL i would of done the same thing emailing the school. If i was the school i would have a teacher at the gates for a couple of weeks reminding people to get off their scooters at the gate aswell.

Pidj H has been in a high backed booster seat for a long time. She's huge its very nearly coming to the point of us removing the 3 point harness aswell. She is very tall.

WLmum · 09/11/2016 20:18

Paxo stuffing - hales good call! One of my fave treat is cooked stuffing mixed with mashed potato and rolled in puff pastry like a sausage roll.

halestone · 09/11/2016 23:45

I've never heard of it that way WL, but now i want to try it. The old chip shop recipe was mash potato and paxo mixed together then battered and deep fried.

MrsNutella · 10/11/2016 09:07

I have never heard of stuffing that way but it sounds amazing!

Yes, I do love paxo but after so long without it I have learned you can make it Grin ok I always knew it was possible it's just nice and easy. But I will be adding pack to my extensive list. All this thinking about food is making me hungry!!

PurplePidjin · 10/11/2016 16:26

WL I've think you just decided what I'll be taking to MIL for Christmas dinner this year thank you!

halestone · 11/11/2016 13:15

Dp isn't happy that i am refusing to cook roasts now until Christmas so that it makes it more special on Christmas Day. He gets it but is going to miss them ha

PurplePidjin · 11/11/2016 15:17

Can he not cook one himself?

WLmum · 11/11/2016 20:18

Oh pidj if I suggested to dh that he cook a roast he'd break out in a stress sweat! Hope you and mil enjoy the 'pash'.

PurplePidjin · 12/11/2016 21:43

Fair enough, it's a regular occurrence in this house!

WLmum · 12/11/2016 22:57

After 15 years of marriage he's now up to 3 dishes. All of them one pot. Progress is slow!
On a happy note - dds all ate my curry tonight - hooray! Milder than mild but a big step forward chillis on the side for me and dh.

WLmum · 13/11/2016 19:45

pidj case in point - tonight it took him an hour and 10 to get bangers and mash on the table, and the spuds were already peeled and in the pan! Cooking to him is like directions to me - just does not compute!

halestone · 13/11/2016 22:40

GrinPidj that made me giggle he can just about cook a bacon butty. Hes just learning chips etc. He never had to cook his dad didn't teach him. He is very good at cleaning though.

H is coming down with a cold and my word she is grouchy defo takes after DP.

PurplePidjin · 14/11/2016 19:00

I can't do chips, I prefer oven ones Blush

MrsNutella · 14/11/2016 21:25

A man that cook a roast dinner.... that would be amazing! Grin
Although, everyone likes them a bit different. I like a crunchy roast potato. And there has to be Yorkies. I do make very good Yorkshire puddings.... I might have to do some roasts this winter I suppose....

And we drive to the UK in a couple of days. I'm so excited!!!! Grin

WLmum · 14/11/2016 21:50

Craving a roast!

Barbeasty · 15/11/2016 08:12

I have a DH who can cook a roast! He needs to print out and follow instructions in detail, but he can do it.

OP posts:
MrsNutella · 15/11/2016 11:04

DH can cook and will occasionally experiment in the kitchen.... but I'm terrible at letting him Confused he wants me to show him how to make bread.

DS loves cooking, but he has to taste everything and will tip ingredients everywhere because he is quite excitable. And it drives me nuts. But we did manage the other day. We made lemon cupcakes and he got to lick the beater when we were finished. That's always the best part!

PurplePidjin · 15/11/2016 11:34

Dh does a mean roast his potatoes are a bit anaemic with home made yorkies. If I'm out with the boys for the afternoon he'll have dinner on the table when we get back. Isn't that part of pulling your weight as a parent?

MrsNutella · 15/11/2016 11:46

You're right pidj it is.
But it's also good to stick to your strengths. I have weaknesses I know I need to work on too. I think as long as you are both pulling some weight that's a good place to start.

Right.... I better get back to packing. The weather here is awful. Heavy on again off again drizzle and a mighty 5/6 degrees out. Bleurgh!!!

halestone · 15/11/2016 21:30

We can only have oven potatoes as we don't have a fryer, we can't find a bug enough fryer to cook for 5. Also DPs idea of helping out cooking wise if i have been busy all day is to drive to the takeawayGrin

Nutella are you excited? Have you got your list of things to bring back with you?

H stayed at my mums last night so i worked the full night it was very weird getting into bed at the same time as DP this morning it made a nice change.

WLmum · 15/11/2016 21:53

That's kind of where we're at nutella
hales that must have been lovely - hope you made the most of it. Many years ago I used to work a night shift and would get into bed and about half an hour later dh would get out to go to work. Sweet times.

MrsNutella · 16/11/2016 13:56

Another 85km to the eurotunnnel. Nearly there! Blimey it's been a long day. And we still have to get to London!

Barbeasty · 16/11/2016 16:15

I'm guessing it's welcome to the UK Nutella
