Woo hoo for sleeping through KitKat! Let's hope the next one is a better sleeper Grin

cookielove · 21/05/2016 17:08

kitkat I think I follow your school of thought regarding washing hands. I have to say it must be OK cause E is still alive.

Whoop whoop for sleeping through Grin fx it sticks!

I have a poorly boy!

polkadotdelight · 21/05/2016 21:01

Oh no cookie what's the matter with him?

cookielove · 22/05/2016 08:02

High temp was 39.2 on Friday, off his food, generally miserable and his sleep is shite! Which is horrible for both of us as he usually sleeps through!

Dr said a virus, and I think teeth too.

Salene · 22/05/2016 08:16

Just found this I was a September 2014 poster. So my update is I'm 29 weeks pregnant , found the pregnacy very hard due to husband working away still he does 4/5 weeks away 2/3 weeks home and I get no help. I work p/t and I'm so glad this week coming is my final week as I've 8 weeks holiday saved up

Robert is walking well started about 13.5 month, talking is coming on mostly single word but just started last few days to put words together, had tractor gone, car keys etc.

Sleeping is well errrrfr 😳

We co slept til about 6 weeks ago when we moved him to his own room he goes to sleep in it but always comes through to us in middle of night and I'm normally to exhausted to deal with anything so he is allowed to climb in beside me

He has always been a terrible sleeper.

So that's my update really , just slogging away with the normal toddler demands while hating being pregnant. Bad SPD again and reflux. But finding it worse as can never get to sit and relax or get a nights sleep

Not sure if I'm excited or scared for baby to arrive 🙈.

Oh we having another boy

MyGreenSofa · 22/05/2016 13:56

Congratulations Salene! Sorry you're finding the pregnancy tough and on your own so much too! I do bow down to women pregnant with toddler!

Nazly · 23/05/2016 00:05

Salene congrats on pregnancy and omg how do you manage toddler and pregnancy and being alone all... I hope it goes smoothly for you

Cookie & Fate, the school delaying thing just makes meEnvyit really shouldn't be that complicated. In our area we should also apply at the right time and then ask for delayed entry once accepted, the problem is, the school is not under any obligation to take the child a year after.... Utter rubbish imho ; if delayed entry is acceptable then application should be done later too

Fate we are not going to live in the house either but I am just finding it very difficult even though we haven't quite started anything- i am designing and drawing the plans myself and would like to apply for planing myself too; at the moment I am just cutting on sleep hours mostly

I am now thinking of going to hv or food specialist ; he is getting extremely difficult to feed

CumbrianExile · 23/05/2016 17:34

Congrats Salene, hope things start going smoother for you soon!

How are all your toddlers when having nappies changed! A seems to really dislike it at the minute, even if he has soiled his nappy. Yesterday, DH got a nappy and the sudo cream out of the draw downstairs and put on the sofa to change him, before realising we were out of wipes downstairs. When he ran up to get the wipes, A put the nappy and cream back in the draw, the whole time saying 'No, No, No' with quite a frown on his face. Grin I couldn't stop him for laughing. He also runs into the corner when he sees us going to the draw!

Hope your DS is feeling better now Cookie

RE Handwashing before meals - I am not so good at this either, I sometimes wipe with wipes, but usually I forget - but then he goes in the garden and eats mud so...

LillyBugg · 23/05/2016 17:40

I'm relieved that you are all just as 'bad' as me at hand washing! So thank you :)

DS will happily have his nappy changed by anyone but me. In fact he will happily do most things for anyone but me. But I'm told this is normal. Aren't we mummies lucky?!

KitKat1985 · 25/05/2016 14:06

How is your DS doing now Cookielove?

DD is pretty good with nappy changes most of the time. Although I do tend to play with her whilst I do it to keep her entertained.

Congrats on your pregnancy Salene but sorry you are finding it hard going. I had my scan on Monday and I'm 13 weeks. Baby is growing well but was a bit of a fidget and we couldn't get very good pictures. We got DD to make our Facebook announcement for us!

cookielove · 25/05/2016 16:20

Awww what a cutie kit I do however think you and everyone else who is pregnant is crazy! Shock working in a baby room (with 18 toddlers) heavily pregnant has put me off permanently having a baby any time soon. I also want to loose weight and wait till E gets his free hours.

He is better, still not brilliant but getting there. We watch way to much tv!

I am deciding not to think about the school thing for now, just gonna bury my head in the sand Blush

E is hit and miss with nappy changes depends on his mood.

This was E at my mums a couple weeks ago!

cookielove · 25/05/2016 16:21

Gonna post it for a bit then get it deleted!

MyGreenSofa · 25/05/2016 19:10

Such cuties KitKat & cookie! Can't believe these big kids are our same babies! Glad the scan went well KitKat.

polkadotdelight · 25/05/2016 19:51

Aww fab pics everyone!

jaykay34 · 25/05/2016 20:13

Congratulations Salene and KitKat.

Can't believe how our little September 2014 babies are growing up so quickly, and will be 2 in a matter of months.

There's some lovely photos on here - we definitely have a cute little bunch.

I've attached a pic of J, he's such a little man now. He's got a very cheeky personality, but I'm really enjoying him. He definitely takes the edge off of having two hormonal teenagers in the house, and adds some thing a bit light-hearted into the atmosphere.

cookielove · 25/05/2016 22:35

Sorry had to delete it as I am not comfortable having his photo on such a public forum!

FATEdestiny · 26/05/2016 13:38

Awww your pregnancy announcement pic is so cute KitKat! Are you starting to feel over the worst now? I always found the first 14 weeks the hardest in pregnancy.

Lovely bluebell pic jaykay.

Currently looking after my best friends two guinea pigs while they are on holiday. DD is surprisingly gentle and careful picking them up. She would spend hours sat in their run stroking them if I let her.

What are others toddlers like with pets? DD is very assertive with our puppy, who's still at the jumping up and chewing stage. I wasn't expecting her to deal with the GPs as well as she has done.

Oh, and DD not had a morning nap for the last 10 days. 20 months old and I can finally say she has definitely dropped to just a single 3h lunchtime nap. I feel like it marks the end of the baby months with a great big full stop. Onwards and upwards, looking forward to all the toddler groups we can now go to.

MyGreenSofa · 26/05/2016 15:46

Well you had a good long run with two naps Fate! DD dropped to one nap around Christmas. When have your kids usually dropped naps completely or has it varied a lot?

DD is great with our dog, they are best buddies now. She loves any dog we come across though!

polkadotdelight · 26/05/2016 19:15

Love the pregnancy announcement!

DS is napping consistently for about 2 hours, it used to be an hour and 20 on a good day. Still up at the crack of dawn though!

We have cats, he adores them but gets over excited and has to be reminded to be gentle. He still has a morning bottle, I probably should drop it but we cuddle up on the sofa watching tv and one of the cats always joins us. He rests his head against the cat which is so sweet. We have chickens too and if I pick one up for him to stroke he is very gentle.

CumbrianExile · 26/05/2016 19:42

Lovely announcement pic KitKat

We don't have any pets, but he does bark at dogs as we pass them. Going to the PILs in July and they have two dogs, so it will be interesting how he reacts to being up close to two dogs Grin

We sometimes have no naps! When he does go down at home he has about hours, but nursery is pretty much 1 hour tops when he does go down! I can't complain too much as he does sleep through night and mostly has done, but he can be hard work when he is over tired!

Zanashar · 30/05/2016 13:33

Awwwwww such a cute announcement pic Kitkat!
Congrats to you too Salene!

Hope everyone else and their LOs are well. Smile

It's been another age since I was last on here........so lots to catch up on again.
Bedtime: still in sleepsuits ( it still makes her a baby in my head), but Z has refused sleeping bags since she was one as she wriggles so much in her sleep ( more gymnastics tbh), but we have successfully got rid of the dummy ( 2 months now). We were only using it at nap and bedtimes ( okay that's a total lie as DH would use it at the drop of a hat, the lazy so and so, rather than figure out why she was grumpy).
But the past month or so, I have noticed fingers in mouth an awful lot ( sometimes almost her whole hand!). Is there more teething happening for anyone's LOs or has she just found a replacement for her beloved bobo I wonder?

All the schools around here are not great and I am going by us having moved either before she needs to start ( when will that be again?) or just a few years after so we are closer to better secondary schools. DH thinks I worry too much and a child will do well regardless of the school........

So I bought some cute flip flops for DD which she point blank reused to let anywhere near her feet since Friday, until this morning when she decided to take off her pyjamas and pester me to put them on her chubby little feet. Then proceeded to run around the garden in just them and her nappy (the weirdo) as DH trimmed the hedge

2 months of part time work and I am enjoying the extra time at home and with DD, but am starting to worry a little about the much reduced income......Envy

Zanashar · 30/05/2016 13:36

Ooooh, forgot to add:
Naps - we have been down to one nap for at least six months now. Tend to be 90 mins at nursery and 2.5-3 hours at home. How I miss the two nap days!!!

FATEdestiny · 30/05/2016 13:46

We've only just stopped the two nap days and already I miss them! She did have a 2-nap day yesterday but that was just a one off because she's poorly at the moment.

Great news on the dummy front! I notice DD is a fan of finger/hand chewing in the daytime. She doesn't get a dummy when awake and I do wonder if it's a comfort replacement. To be honest if it became a habit I'd probably start replacing fingers in mouth with a dummy when needed.

Took the family on an open top bus today. DD was fine for 30 mins or so then got bored.

Just booked our holiday, cottage in Holly Head, Anglesea this year. I have a big birthday in September (my 40th). My only request is a child free weekend away so I am hoping DH books somewhere nice.

Anyone else got holiday plans?

CumbrianExile · 31/05/2016 18:32

We also have the hand chomping Zan, but its recent and I think related to the back teeth coming through as its tied in with much more drooling and a sore bum.

Dummy reduction is going pretty well, but I do have to hide them as soon as he see's them he wants it lol.

We go on holiday on Saturday. To a Haven camp in Wales. We are taking my parents too to 'spend time with the grandson' (Read babysitting duties Grin)

Hope you have a good holiday Fate and that you get that child free birthday weekend.

cookielove · 01/06/2016 15:34

So as I have said in the past E is incredibly fussy with food, last night I decided he could feed himself which he is more than capable of and boy he was not happy. He basically refused it, I have preserved today, he was happy at breakfast but ate some. Lunch was a tantrum filled nightmare before we even got to the table and we didn't do much better at the table. So off to bed with no lunch. I am hoping he gives in for dinner and feeds himself!

Gonna feed him a bit earlier as he missed lunch!
