I fell off the thread it disappeared from my threads and just remembered to search for it Blush

E is being very testing at the moment, he is now in a junior chair as he tantrums so much going in his highchair it wasn't worth the pain! That is hit and miss and of course he can off it when he likes

No where near potty training and not heading that way any time soon!

He is getting better with worda but he is probably quite far behind yours but I am not that worried! (Yet)

Happy birthday to all the littlies and congratulations on the scan green and pregnancy lilly

We will be ttc in Dec as still want to loose 2 stone

FATEdestiny · 18/09/2016 21:02

We're beginning to ditch the highchair too. DD is fine in it for breakfast but for lunch and dinner, when we all sit round the table, she now insists on her own chair. I slipped trainer seat and she's gone straight into the carver chairs with arms to keep her penned in

December is a good time to start ttc green. I mostly conceive in December, hense all the September birthdays in our house Grin

I mentioned a few weeks ago about 2 year checks with HV. We got the letter last week (her bday is next week) with the appointment, it's into October though.

I attach a pictures of DD blackberry picking, just 'cos she's super cute Smile

Sorry, that but about conceiving in December was meant to be addressed to cookie, not GreenSofa

CumbrianExile · 19/09/2016 16:13

Ah, what a cutie Fate.

Good luck ttc Cookie. My friend has just had little girl and I have just got back from cuddles. I am now very broody, but will have to be sensible (for now anyway!)

We also got our 2 year check letter in the last week or so, also in October, but luckily they have booked us for a Monday which is the day I don't work so thats good.

polkadotdelight · 19/09/2016 16:47

Awww she is super cute!

cookielove · 20/09/2016 21:16

E has his two year check tomorrow, he has it extra early as we booked it in at a weigh in! So we have had the questionnaire for quite awhile now! Lots of things on it he can't do but still a fair few he can so I am sure it will be fine!

A September birthday would be greet although tbf would prefer a October or November so I wouldn't have to fight get the next one into the correct school year if they were prem again Shock

LillyBugg · 21/09/2016 06:20

I still don't have an appointment for the two year check and DS is now already 2. Wonder if I should try and call the HV. Not even sure where I would find the number lol!

Zanashar · 21/09/2016 15:34

Awww she's so cute *Fate!

We've not had anything about 2 year check up but I have heard they do it at 26 months here for some reason so won't chase up just yet.

DDs birthday yesterday and she finished the day singing happy birthday to herself on the way home from her birthday dinner.
She also missed one of our cats (Monty) getting hit by a car last night and being found by DH after she'd gone to bed. She hasn't noticed his absence yet but he was her favourite for cuddling :(. Not sure how I'll explain this one to her.

I just wanted to stop by here and wish all the babies a happy 2nd birthday.

I was EllaBella but changed my name after the whole password leak and haven't really been back here since (I think I posted once) but have read the thread quickly and see quite a few are pregnant again! That's amazing, I think M would love a younger sibling but we're done.

It's crazy how fast these 2 years have flown in. M is a complete chatter box, has a massive vocabulary and uses it in the funniest ways possible (especially embarrassing her 14 year old brother by saying 'that's your cock' when she sees his watch on his arm). She is so much fun to be around (most of the time!) and has all of us falling over each other to get her attention because she is also very loving and affectionate so we're lapping it up while it lasts.

I love seeing pics of the now toddlers who we've seen since birth.

MissMoo22 · 22/09/2016 00:20

Zanashar, M has done the exact same thing since we sang happy birthday to her on hers. 'Hatty birthday to yooooooooooou' is on repeat since the 13th! It's very cute though, I hope your DD had a lovely day.

TeamEponine · 22/09/2016 20:27

Argh! Just wrote a long post and lost it!

Anyway, not sure if any of you remember, but DD had hip dysplasia and was on a harness when she was tiny. Today she was discharged! Grin

Loving seeing all the pics. We have a cute bunch of little people.

I've added a birthday cake pic, and one from the hospital today.

Heard nothing about a two year check...

TeamEponine · 22/09/2016 20:31

And then the pics didn't work! Added a bonus one from potty training Confused

Great pictures from everyone. Super cute!

Nice to see you MissMoo, do drop but and say hello whenever you log into MN.

I'm sorry to hear about your cat Zana. 😔 We lost both our cat and dog within a month of each other last summer, it was hard. Hopefully your DD is too little to think too much about it. I was suprised how quickly my children just accepted their pet had died and moved on.

Took DD to try out balance bikes earlier this week. She was in her element! Round and round the shop. Only problem was we had to drag her kicking and screaming (literally) from the shop. At least we know she'll definately like her birthday present.

MyGreenSofa · 23/09/2016 12:58

Hi MissMoo! (Waves!) glad to hear M is doing well.

Lovely pictures Fate and Team!

Sorry to hear about your cat Zana, it's horrible to lose a pet, especially in that way. My cat was killed by a car when he was only 4 years old when I was 17, 10 years ago! I'm still put off having another cat because of it. Sad

FATEdestiny · 26/09/2016 18:10

I recall there being two other babies on our original postnatal threads who shared a birthday with my DD. I can't remember who they were or if still posting, but happy birthday to anyone else celebrating. 🎂🎁

Aww Happy Birthday to tiny FATE.

polkadotdelight · 29/09/2016 21:32

Happy belated birthday miniFATE. Second birthday has been and gone here too. I was amazed at his unwrapping skills, considering Christmas was 9 months ago and he didn't 'get' the present opening thing he certainly does now!

LillyBugg · 30/09/2016 07:39

Why when we have work and nursery do I have to drag DS from his bed and when it's my day off he's awake at 5.20???? God I'm so tired. Morning sickness is so awful this time compared to last. I'm only 6 weeks and I feel like absolute shite. :(

Morning everyone!

TeamEponine · 01/10/2016 07:13

Lilly, DD is also great at super early weekend rising! I don't know how I would manage with morning sickness too. I spent two weeks on the couch, crying at every medals ceremony in the Winter Olympics! I hope the sickness eases and you manage to get some sleep soon.

Happy birthday to all the newly turned two little ones!

DD seems to have suddenly grown up so much. Her speech has just taken a big leap forward, we are a week into potty training and this morning she asked for her milk in a cup rather than in a bottle.

On the not so good side, she's back on the dummy Sad Blush

Have a great weekend everyone! Wine

Daytona79 · 01/10/2016 07:35

River.?? Stupid phone that should say Robert was

FATEdestiny · 01/10/2016 09:38

See they are both stunners Daytona79. Having your DH away while baby is so small must be tough, no wonder life is busy!

Lilly - at least you should start feeling better in time. I have always found the first 13 weeks of pregnancy the absolute worst.

It often makes me think about those (lucky) women who dont know they are pregnant until late on. I'd be there in early pregnancy feeling like I'd like to curl up and die and there are others with so few early symptoms they don't even know they are pregnant.

KitKat1985 · 01/10/2016 20:35

Wow, not checked in for a few days. So many birthdays! Happy birthday to all of our toddlers! It's lovely that this thread is still going and you ladies have been such a support to me. Can't believe it's been nearly 3 years since we all 'met' on the antenatal boards!

Sorry to hear about your cat Zanashar. Flowers

Daytona - congrats on your new DS! It must be bloody hard being on your own with a 2 year old and an 8 week old. Do you have any help at all?

LilyBugg sorry you feel so rough. Morning sickness can be truly awful. I hope you feel better soon.

I'm 32 weeks on Monday. I'm getting increasingly anxious about having to give birth again, as I found it all quite traumatic first time around. Plus I really struggled with DD having colic and being a crap sleeper and I'm terrified about how I'm going to cope if this baby is as difficult since I'm going to have a toddler to cope with too.

KitKat1985 · 01/10/2016 20:50

Can I ask a few quick questions as well?

  1. Any tips for potty training? We tried s bit with Dd the other day but she doesn't really 'get it' yet.
  2. Am I the only one still using sleeping bags? DD is such a fidget at night that I daren't brave just regular bedding yet!
  3. Has anyone braved taking the cot sides away yet?
LillyBugg · 01/10/2016 21:41

We still use sleeping bags. I tried a quilt thing one night and DS kept calling 'Mummy, blanket come off!' and he was sat up in his cot holding it for me to tuck him in again. Three times we did this before I put him in a sleeping bag! Sides are still on the cot to, with no intention of them coming off soon. He sleeps really well and doesn't climb so I'm in no hurry to change anything. Oh and potty training, nowhere near!!
