Sunny there's a well known fact that MILs don't always think.
We're just back from a week away and saw the PIL while away. Practically the first thing MIL said to me was 'have you put on any weight yet?' Fair to say I was a bit Shock and Hmm but replied 'err yes, probably. Have you??' Grrrrrr.

Glad you got a treaty night away though Sunny :)

Just checking in really because the thread is dropping off my list.

Nothing huge to report here other than I am huge and have bred yet another stubborn child who refuses to turn round and read it's eviction notice!

RueDeWakening · 15/03/2016 22:01

Oh dear, Sunny! Fingers crossed they get moving soon for you.

HungryHorace · 16/03/2016 20:13

What's your due date, Sunny? Fx baby starts complying soon!

BeanCalledPickle · 17/03/2016 19:27

Are you done after this one sunny?? Or back for a third?!

SunnyL · 17/03/2016 21:57

Due date is on monday and hell no to a 3rd! Give me my body back!!!!

BibbidiBobbidiBoo1 · 19/03/2016 18:21

Oooo Sunny hope things are going well!

HungryHorace · 21/03/2016 10:12

Happy due date, Sunny. I hope you've either already given birth or it happens very soon!

SunnyL · 21/03/2016 17:02

Thanks HH - sadly no baby yet but on the flip side DH and I went out for a nice lunch today and I've just woken up from my afternoon nap. All things I'll not be able to do soon Grin

HungryHorace · 21/03/2016 17:08

Do you know if your date is accurate? Both of mine were moved forwards at the scan...not that it's any consolation at the end when all you want is an evicted baby!

I'm glad you had a nice day. :-)

Biscuitswithtea · 22/03/2016 19:04

How did it get to be your due date so quickly Sunny?? Hope all is well :)

We had our 2nd scan today. It was lovely. Extra so because the sonographer, despite doing this day in day out, was clearly so happy about seeing a healthy little babe. We had her for the first scan also and she was the same then.

HungryHorace · 22/03/2016 20:07

Did you find out if you're having a boy or a girl, Biscuits?

The days of scans feels like forever ago here!

Biscuitswithtea · 22/03/2016 20:24

Nope. We considered it briefly this morning but decided to stay team yellow. Just as well really, baby kept its legs firmly crossed all the way through! :)

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 22/03/2016 20:39

Did you find out last time? We were team yellow both times (though I think I'd have found out with DS, but DH didn't want to, so that decided that one!).

Quite a few people told us afterwards that they thought we'd found out and lied about not knowing. Weirdos!

Biscuitswithtea · 22/03/2016 20:57

Didn't find out last time either. To be honest it wasn't the carrot in labour that everyone said it would be - and that was partly why I was more keen to find out this time. But I have a colleague who was told she was having a boy, then had a girl and that really messed with her head. And I think that would muck me up more than another traumatic childbirth so team yellow it is! Grin

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 22/03/2016 21:43

Nothing acted as a carrot in my labour...I was too traumatised by the speed of it plus the futile pushing!

I can imagine that being told the wrong sex would be rather WTAF though!

SunnyL · 22/03/2016 21:49

Oh lovely Biscuits. We had a good scan this time round as well - she spent a lot of time explaining things that helped us understand it.

I was far more tempted to find out the gender this time because of logistics. Quite glad we didn't though it is making me seriously frustrated because I want to meet them now.

I've got a sweep on Thursday - did anyone else have one?

Biscuitswithtea · 22/03/2016 22:09

I had a sweep with DS. It hurt more than I expected but I reckon that's because it's impossible to relax when someone sticks their hand up there! So muscles are tensing up... That said, contractions started later that day, waters went the next day and DS was born the next again day - so maybe it worked!

Still waiting then Sunny!

Glad your scan went well, biscuits.

I'm glad I didn't read your story before having DS. We found out both times but as I'd heard lots of stories of people being told girl and then a boy being born I was worried up until DD was born (mainly due to having a lot of girly stuff), despite four scans having confirmed it! I was much more relaxed this time as I'd heard it was much less common to get it wrong this way around.

HungryHorace · 24/03/2016 12:29

How was the sweep, Sunny?

I was due one with DD but went into labour two days' prior. And with DS they wanted to keep him in until the CS happened so there was definitely none of that kind of thing!

SunnyL · 24/03/2016 13:16

It was...um...delightful Sad

Midwife has encouraged me to dtd with DH. He doesn't seem to have a problem with me using him for his body. Oh the romance!

Apparently she'll book me in for an induction at the end of next week if I haven't had baby yet. Fingers crossed it won't come to it. Although at least I'd get some more sewing projects finished by the n.

HungryHorace · 24/03/2016 13:51

Have you got another one booked?

Sperm has the same hormone as they use in an induction which is probably why she's recommended it!

At least your DH is happy to oblige. :-)

BeanCalledPickle · 24/03/2016 21:04

Have you got your names lined up??

SunnyL · 25/03/2016 14:30

Yep I have the joy of another sweep next Friday if no baby before then.

Bean we've got 2 girls names and 2 boys names which we need to agree on order for - we've agreed to wait til we see them though to decide. DH was in charge of boys names and there is a distinctive F1 theme to them!

HungryHorace · 25/03/2016 17:03

Heinz Harald and Kimi?!
