The old thread was getting dangerously close to 1000 messages, so thought I'd better start this one.

I love carrot cake! Dd likes people from school I would rather she didn't but what can you do?! If I had it my way there would be certain children she had nothing to do with Blush

We went and found the stick man today, will put a photo on fb.

Ds is currently in bed humming to himself, he always does it, so cute.

GeoffreysGoat · 09/04/2016 22:22

Ditto Wreck there are a couple of little shits at ds1s luckily they're off in September! He was telling me dolls are "just" for girls the other day, boys only like cars because says so, I gave him an earful in the middle of Asda about how nobody can tell him what to like except him Blush

WLmum · 09/04/2016 22:22

nutella it is hard when they like people you don't! But as long as it's not destructive I try to let them be, and suffer the pain of not clicking with the parents if necessary. Honestly looking back I think I probably wasn't every parents dream - 3rd child of single parent, quite precocious and taught some very inappropriate stuff by v naughty older brother, but I was mostly always a good person underneath.

MrsNutella · 10/04/2016 16:09

WL she is probably a bit like you then Wink although not a single parent family. She has older brothers. I was going to say it isn't all bad since DS is round playing at her house. Except they are now in our garden again. I understand, DS's house thing is lots of fun.

Oh well. Today it's pizza dough in the kenwood Grin

WLmum · 10/04/2016 23:31

I would be appalled if my dds knew stuff I knew at their age!!

MrsNutella · 10/04/2016 23:34

DD has a horrible persistent cough and it's driving me mad! We'll be off to the dr's in the morning. Sad

MrsNutella · 10/04/2016 23:36

Oh, hello WL I also meant to say to you my oldest brother is 9 years older than me.... I know what you mean about knowing stuff you shouldn't at a young age!

WLmum · 10/04/2016 23:37

Sadly I also think it rather did my self confidence in as I sometimes knew that teachers and parents didn't like me much but I didn't know why.
I am having a little bit of a stress attack about going back to work and school tomorrow. I don't wanna!! We had a great family day out today but at the expense of being ready for the next terms slog. Just hanging out washing!! Ho hum.

MrsNutella · 10/04/2016 23:38

At least you're an hour earlier there - it took me a minute to remember. I was a bit Shock at hanging out washing at almost 1am

MrsNutella · 10/04/2016 23:41

Right. I'm going to see if I can get some sleep Confused

halestone · 11/04/2016 12:22

Nutella, how did the Drs go? And all of your cooking sounds amazing.

WL hows your 1st day going?

WL, i had an overconfidence as a child and probably quite alot of parents disliked me. It seemed to even out as a teenager though and i am still 'friends' with quite alot of my friends parents.

H has had a dentist appointment this morning which went well except she told me to be quiet in reception as no one else was talking haha. She has gone to school in a gingham dress today she looks so grown up.

MrsNutella · 11/04/2016 15:33

hales dr was fine. Lots of medicine to try out on DD Wink she has a cough stopping medicine we can give her at bedtime. We also have a homeopathic remedy to try.... But I might go for the hard stuff tonight so we can all catch up on some rest.

halestone · 12/04/2016 12:34

Did the hard stuff work?

MrsNutella · 12/04/2016 13:02

Oooohhhh yes. She woke a couple of times but I think that was also from being so exhausted. But we had a wonderful sleep!

WLmum · 12/04/2016 20:08

Sleep is the best nutella!! We were asleep by 10.30 last night and I wasn't up until 6.30 - that's 8 glorious hours of unbroken sleep. A rarity but so lush. More sleep is quite high on my priority list.

MrsNutella · 12/04/2016 20:24

WL unbroken sleep is starting to seem like an urban myth! In between poor DD coughing and needing "weeio" translation: water and D.SC. needing me to take him for a wee once a night (you know, in the bit when DD is finally sleeping quietly) I'm still getting an ok sleep..... Oh sleep.... I love sleep!

WreckTangled · 12/04/2016 20:26

Ds was proud to do his first stand up wee where he held his willy himself today. He's always made me do it before HmmGrin haircut for him tomorrow we have a great childrens salon which is more like a play room.

WreckTangled · 12/04/2016 20:27

Also it was really warm today so nice to see the sun

halestone · 13/04/2016 09:59

I LOVE sleep an unbroken sleep night only occurs when we don't have the girls. I love those nights.

Wrecked yay go Ds, and we haven't even had H's hair cut yet. We were advised by the hair dresser that because of the curls all she will do is cut off curls that seem longer than the others.

We took the girls to Chill Factore last night which is a giant indoor ski/snowboard slope. Theres part were you can ride donuts and sledges. H loved it it took us 15 minutes to persuade her to try though as she just wanted to play at the bottom.

MrsNutella · 13/04/2016 10:10

Hales that sounds like amazing fun! I bet they slept well afterwards Grin

I trim a tiny bit of DD's hair. She still doesn't have much. But she has mega mad frizz at the back. I do t really know what to do about it. Does anyone have a clue? I'll take a pic later and post it on Fbook.

DS's hair I am getting better at cutting. I took him to a different hair dressers and it was still crap so I attacked it myself when I got home. DH was impressed.

I always fancied being a hairdresser. My Mum didn't like the idea though....

GeoffreysGoat · 13/04/2016 20:56

Spray conditioner?

MrsNutella · 13/04/2016 21:32

I've tried everything and it just pings back up to springy frizzy madness.... Perhaps I need to wash it less?? I forgot to take a picture. I'll try and get one in the morning.

WLmum · 13/04/2016 21:51

A guy at work just returned from paternity leave after his first baby - he said today 'everyone says you can't expect much routine before 6 weeks'. Pahahaha!

WLmum · 13/04/2016 21:53

nutella I want to see that hair! I bet it's gorgeous.
I cut Ts hair - it gets in such a massive tangle at the back at night. It's really fine and light so long no wouldn't do anyway.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 13/04/2016 23:09

Evening all.

I've been considering chill factore Hales. Glad they enjoyed it.

I took DS and my 1yo niece to Blackpool zoo alone today. They were so well behaved and the weather was glorious.

DS walked miles and still wouldn't go to bloody bed Til 9pm. Angry I'm with you all on the being so tired, he's taken to waking several times a night again. Whhhhhhhhhhhhhy?
