The old thread was getting dangerously close to 1000 messages, so thought I'd better start this one.

WL i would be so proud of your Dd1 as well.

WLmum · 06/04/2016 07:57

hales that's brilliant! Well done you. I know a taxi driver and she loves it. I think people will be thrilled to find they have a female driver too as there's so few. Did you do 'the knowledge'? I'd be hopeless! Let us know how you get on.

GeoffreysGoat · 06/04/2016 09:17

Well done hales that's brilliant

MrsNutella · 06/04/2016 09:20

WL well done DD1! I'm sorry about the interview. I hope the new position/role is less stress for you though. I think you're really awesome though for admitting when you felt unhappy and doing something about it. That's not easy either Flowers Cake

hales well done you! I really admire your upbeat get up and go attitude. How cool, I hope you enjoy it and meet some interesting not too mad people Grin DH always gets chatting to taxi drivers my "job" doesn't usually require me to take a taxi and comes home and tells me stories about the people he has met.

Right. Since you're all awesome I'm going to go now and try to pull my finger out to get closer to actually launching a business instead of just fiddling around playing with ideas. If you see me on here, tell me to Bugger off and do something productive please!

MrsNutella · 06/04/2016 11:54

Ok, so I haven't had a very productive morning Confused but I have found the kenwood model I want, with the attachments I want and at a decent price. Took way too many hours of my life up to figure it out though BlushHmm

WLmum · 06/04/2016 19:16

Bless you nutella!

WLmum · 06/04/2016 19:24

Dh is in a grump because I've been a bit mean! He has a habit which is harmless but I find really annoying - he frequently doesn't hear what I say, so repeats the words he did hear and ends in a questioning tone, e.g. 'You went to the...?' I have told him that I know it's mean but it annoys me - could he sometimes say 'pardon' or even 'what?' Or 'eh?' So today, I was indeed mean, and repeated the first half of his sentences! I am a bad wife.

MrsNutella · 06/04/2016 19:49

WL awwww you're not mean, you're just worn out and worn down. Can you go for some fresh air and alone time? I find that sometimes helps me clear my head when it is buzzing and making miserable.

The kenwood mixer is because I raised so much from selling the nappies and I've just helped DH figured out we can save 60€ a month on the kids childcare (and they'll back date it to November AWESOME) and I've wanted one forever. But to make things tricky the model numbers here and in the uk are not the same.... And I couldn't find it out on the kenwood website so it was lots of googling in German. But I now know what a food processor is in German Grin

DH is having some moles removed tomorrow, so he is getting written off sick for Thurs and Fri - I'm really looking forward to it. Although I hope he isn't in too much pain.

WLmum · 06/04/2016 20:06

nutella you're so sweet! I am being mean! It's because I got the train to work today so dh could have he car and it means 3 trains and a bus and an hour and 3/4 each way!
Kenwoods are most definitely the best food mixers. Great news on the childcare costs. I hope you have a nice couple of days with dh.
All 3 dds have requested to sleep in the same room tonight - they have been so noisy but it's so lovely to see (and hear!) them enjoying each other.

MrsNutella · 06/04/2016 20:16

I'd be mean too if I had to do all that travelling. And men Can be idiots. And they do leave hair everywhere.....

WLmum · 06/04/2016 21:48

I don't do that very often luckily. And I'm off now for until Monday. I really am being grumpy as his noisy eating and breathing is getting in my nerves!! Maybe I'm due on!

halestone · 06/04/2016 22:23

WLCake to help your grump.

Nutella the real question is what are you making first with the mixer?

Me and the girls made chocolate Brownies today, they were perfect if i do say so myself.

WLmum · 06/04/2016 22:33

I forgot to mention that I myself have no annoying habits and am practically perfect in every way!
hales I was going to suggest that nutella posts a pic of her first bake - great minds! I'm going to make secret surprise smartie cakes with the dds this weekend - yum.

WreckTangled · 07/04/2016 07:22

WL dh does that all the time!!

WLmum · 07/04/2016 07:45

tangled I'm glad you feel my pain - the unreasonableness of these bastards eating and breathing!

MrsNutella · 07/04/2016 08:04

Ooohhhh I don't know.... It might need to use multiple attachments... Maybe a carrot cake? I make an amazing one.... Or cookies.... I just made a whole pile of cookies for a friend as a present for her third baby. I offered to bake her something and she said "COOKIES" almost before I had finished the sentence Grin

But it gave me cookies envy.... Especially for the oatmeal and raisin cookies...

Hmmmmmm I also want to make bread.... Perhaps some cinnamon buns an a carrot cake and some cookies and then some normal bread and then I'll use the food processor to whip up falafel and dips and and and and ..... I'm quite excited Smile

WLmum · 07/04/2016 18:59

Omg nutella all of the below sound amazing!!

MrsNutella · 07/04/2016 21:34

WL if I cook of those things within a month I will be pretty amazed.

I haven't told DH yet but I might treat him with his favourite cinnamon layered bread thingy.... It's a bit like cinnamon rolls but in slices. They have a really yummy sweet bread recipe here that is easy to make. His mole removal all went fine but he is super tired and a bit delicate this evening.

MrsNutella · 07/04/2016 21:36

Oh, and I too have no annoying habits Grin

DH on the other hand can't see anything. I now tell him to use "those useless jelly filled orbs" and try looking for whatever the latest thing is he can't find.

WLmum · 07/04/2016 22:24

Glad to have you up here in the tower nutella! Glad dh is ok, that bread sounds yummy too - with a big mug of latte. Mmmm.
Met another T today (slightly younger) - so that's 3 now with a quite unusual name. It was weird and nice to hear another one.

Barbeasty · 08/04/2016 08:22

Well done on the new job WL. Just remember your boss really rates you, you've got hours that work, and you don't have to go and learn a whole new organisation. Use the time to take stock and build a plan of what you want to do when the DC are a bit older.

And well done Hales. Sounds great- and maybe you could charge your old boss to collect her from the airport in future!!

Kenwoods are always good Nutella.

DH and I were wondering if we could get DD's tonsils put back in! Now she's sleeping better she has far too much energy. I'd forgotten what she used to be like. And she was in such a deep sleep the other night she wet the bed for the first time in years.

It was DD's dance show the other night and MIL and SIL were babysitting A. Before they came he asked if he could come and watch and I said no. He went back to DD and said "See- I told you she would lie. Daddy won't be silly when I ask him. He'll say yes." He wouldn't get his pyjamas on until DH got home and said no!

WLmum · 08/04/2016 08:49

Haha beasty cheeky rascal! Glad dd is feeling better even if does mean she is running you ragged!

MrsNutella · 09/04/2016 18:06

beasty that's hilarious of A!

My new toy has arrived! So far I've made cookies and used the food processor to make frikadellen (basically a fancy word for meatballs I suppose...??).
I might need to make a carrot cake though later in the week... Although I also really fancy making some bread dough.

DS had a friend over to play, she is in his group at Kindergarten but is almost 5 so she is quite a bit bigger than him. She lives just around the corner so if DS sees her out he wants to play. I don't mind too much but she isn't my favourite of his friends. And there are a couple of kids his age that we could also invite to play but DS doesn't seem too interested when I ask him.

MrsNutella · 09/04/2016 18:06

Oops posted too soon!

And I've forgotten what I was going to write... It can't have been that important... I probably need to get back to my kenwood anyway Grin

GeoffreysGoat · 09/04/2016 18:38

Mmm carrot cake
