The old thread was getting dangerously close to 1000 messages, so thought I'd better start this one.

Wl you're right. Just 30 minutes of something focused would be a good start. I have two books in the go already and I need to read the book club book Blush so I need to get at least one out of the way before I pick up this book.

Wrecking hope DD has a nice time at the party.

I have managed to fold the washing and try on an insane amount of bras which I ordered last week Grin think I might have 1 or two which work. But I'm not totally sure....

Barbeasty · 15/02/2016 16:10

Good luck today WLmum

Sounds good Nutella

Boo to sick children Wreck. Hope they don't spend all of half term sick.

We're driving home from a few days in London. It was A's first time (he finally stopped insisting that DD was going to stay with granny like he did when we took DD at Christmas). He spent most of the time asking if we were going to London! He managed to walk all the way up the London Monument this morning. Then very slowly back down.

Caught ds sitting naked tickling his balls yesterday laughing to himself Hmm

halestone · 15/02/2016 23:59

Hope today went well WLFlowers

Nutella, i'm not on a huge amount of beginners sewing groups, just No Drama Mama. Beginner's only quilting and DaisyBuds Fabric group. I am more on custom fabric groups and people tend to share what they are making. Some of it is stunning.

Frazzled, H has been obsessed with bums and boobs and trumps recently, its driving me insane.

Wow Beasty my mum wants us all to go to London next year but i thought it would entail too much walking for H.

H got herself dressed today and we had to go and pick a card up for my nans birthday. Obviously she dressed herself as spiderman because who wouldn't want to be spiderman. Her day was made when a little old man stopped and asked if he could shake spidermans hand.Grin

halestone · 15/02/2016 23:59

I forgot to say Wrecked i hope Dd is feeling better now.Flowers

WLmum · 16/02/2016 07:55

wreck that's funny
hales who wouldn't want to be Spider-Man indeed!
Well, things are worse here after last nights relate session. It was the same conversation, different room. I don't think he will ever get it and so I just don't know where that leaves us. I think we'll probably try a few more seasons but I'm feeling rather hopeless again. If I were him, and gutted as he said as he was after I told him how I felt, I would have pulled out all the stops. I haven't seen him pull out a single one. I just don't think he has it in him.

MrsNutella · 16/02/2016 08:25

Wreck I've seen DS on the sofa playing with his bits in his trousers while he watches telly.
Sorry, no advice, I think they're all like that and there simply is nothing we can do about it.

Hales I love that old man! It's something more people should do. I don't see many kids in costumes here Hmm I'll keep a look out though.

WL I'm sorry. You sounded so positive over the weekend. If he really understands how you feel and what's to change but isn't, could he be suffering some slight depression perhaps? It might only be mild and he might not like to admit it. He must have a tough time too, as well as you, with everything that happened. Some men can get quite upset with themselves when they are watching from the sidelines and feel powerless to help - when being big and powerful is, supposedly, their "thing". I don't know, just trying to reach out for ideas. X

Barbeasty · 16/02/2016 08:37

Hales A was in the sling a lot of the time. He walks so slowly otherwise! But no way was I carrying him up the 311 steps of the monument! DD manages fine with the walking though. And there's lots you can do to rest their legs- boat trip, bus, tube etc.

Thanks nutella. The counsellor was pushing at that a bit but he says no.
Beautiful sunny frosty day here - will try to go for a run in my lunch hour.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 16/02/2016 21:42

I'm sorry WL. If definitely try a few more sessions to see if it improves. I have no other advice, I'm not your best role model! I'm fairly certain XP was depressed but he'd never have admitted it or got help for it.

DS is all about the willy at the minute. He's plays with it, then cries cos it's "pointing up".

Someone's just messaged me to say he was wondering if I'm super curvy (busty)? Hmm I said I bet you fucking are mate, and good luck to you. My first perve! Grin

halestone · 17/02/2016 16:49

Frazzled i love that he cries when it points up.

WL, i agree with Frazzled keep going is your DH the same as my DP were it takes a while for him to admit that he is feeling exactly like you had said a few days previous?

WLmum · 17/02/2016 22:18

Don't need any of that frazzled!
Loving all the half term pics of littleuns on fb.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 18/02/2016 18:16

Greetings from Switzerland. I'm currently on a train trying to get to Lucerne. I'm still 1.5 hours from my destination, I've missed one connection and 2 trains have been cancelled. I've already been travelling for 8 hours.

I'm not having the best day Hmm

WLmum · 19/02/2016 00:17

Hey frazzled! Is there at least pretty snow? Sounds like a tough day.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 19/02/2016 18:11

There was there was pretty snow when I woke up this morning.

It's so beautiful in Lucerne! Currently in Basel airport with a massive beer. Which also feels pretty beautiful!

Tschuss!

Delicious Swiss choc brownie!

All's right with the world!

WreckTangled · 19/02/2016 19:34

Ah man looks fun! Glad you get to enjoy things like this as part of your job Smile

We've just got back from swimming and I'm only just cooking dinner ds is usually in bed at 6:30 Shock

WLmum · 19/02/2016 19:40

frazzled that looks so yummy!
I bought fortune cookies for all 5 of us - the dds all got a different message each, dh and I both got 'never quit'. Sign?

MrsNutella · 19/02/2016 20:39

WL awwwww at your fortune cookies! I hope your week has been ok.

wreck hope you managed to get everyone fed and off to bed ok!

I don't think DS or DD would survive if I didn't give them dinner at 5:30. i pushed it back recently from 5:15 to half past and DD definitely starts roaming the kitchen about 15 minutes before dinner is ready. She would be beside herself if she wasn't fed on time Grin

frazzled yummy brownies! That sounds like a lot of travelling! And Tschuuuuusey back Wink

DH has been away the last couple of days, dealing with both of them on my own has been a challenge. I am absolutely knackered!
But on the flip side I have sold some of our old nappies on this week. DH has helped me package up four parcels ready to send them off tomorrow. Now.... What am I going to buy myself with all the monies I have made???

WLmum · 21/02/2016 21:31

Tales from our dinner table - T starts coughing and spluttering - dd1 tells me it's because she had stuck her straw up her nose and snorted her water! Crazy child.

halestone · 22/02/2016 14:56

Haha WL that actually made me snort whilst i laughed. Dp looked at me like thisHmm. I would be totally listening to your fortune cookies, i believe that strange things like that happen for a reason.

Frazzled a Swiss chocolate cookie sounds heavenly.

Nutella, go you looking after 2 by yourself that would stress me out a little.

I am really struggling with getting H to sleep at the minute. But last night she came out with a corker, i told her to close her eyes and go to sleep and her reply was 'but mummy i just want to look at your beautiful face and i can't see it if my eyes are closed' she cracks me up.

MrsNutella · 22/02/2016 20:38

Hales I love the comments they come out with. I'm DS's best forever friend Grin or his "best gorgeous"

I'm not going to lie or pretend it's easy - it involves a lot of telly and very simple dinners. I hate being on my own. But they are adorable sometimes too. DD insists that she wants to drink DS's water from a cup. We let her she needs the practice but it usually ends up in her being soaking wet. Last time DH was away, DD was drinking some water from a cup. Then that got boring and so she ended up tipping over the cup and she was soaking. I was fed up. DS went and got s cloth from the kitchen and mopped up the water while I took off DD's wet things. He was so super cute.

Sadly DH is off again tomorrow overnight. It's happening almost weekly at the moment and I'm really not feeling well Sad. I just got over the tonsillitis and now I seem to have a virus. I am knackered!

WL where did she even get the idea to snort water? Although it did make me laugh.
