The old thread was getting dangerously close to 1000 messages, so thought I'd better start this one.

Busy day here. We were at the park before 8:30 and had the whole place to ourselves. Ds loves the flying fox and both dc went on their bike/scooter down the small ramp in the skate park. We then collected loads of leaves and made them into a big tree collage at home. Dd had swimming this afternoon but is now saying she doesn't feel well. I'm hoping she's just tired as we have a fun day planned tomorrow.

WLmum · 29/10/2015 19:02

spotty that sounds lovely. I love autumn leaves.

Barbeasty · 29/10/2015 22:07

Fx for your DD Spotty

We met up with a couple of my nct group for a walk in the woods and play in the park this afternoon. A asked to hold the baby- the 9 month old younger sibling of one of his cohort. It was nearly as big as him!

My car went into the garage today, so waiting to hear what they say. And I've got a Dr appointment because I'm still getting shooting pains and stiffness. The appointment is for a week on Monday! So if it isn't cleared up by then at least I know I need it....

Ouch beasty. Can you phone up for a same day apt?
T is almost as big as my friends 6 yo! T is tall, and 6 yo is a tiddler. They come in all shapes and sizes.

SpottyTeacakes · 29/10/2015 23:23

Dd seems ok but I've just been really sick!

WLmum · 29/10/2015 23:47

Oh no spotty. Poor you. Bug or food do you think? I'm hoping I won't be joining you after I ate my dinner off our floor! I put my just made bowl of stir fry next to me on the sofa and it slipped off - upside down of course. I just forked it all back in the bowl, cleaned the floor and sofa and then ate it. I know I'm a bit disgusting!

SpottyTeacakes · 30/10/2015 06:23

Haha I would do the same! I've felt fine ever since so weird. I don't think food though as I ate five hours before I was sick Halloween Confused

WLmum · 30/10/2015 06:58

Glad you feel ok now.
We're off to see friends in Wales today - 5 hour drive - hooray - not.

SpottyTeacakes · 30/10/2015 07:00

Oh no and it's going to rain all day! We're going to west dean gardens they've got a Halloween thing on should be good if I can keep my breakfast down

MrsNutella · 30/10/2015 08:42

Beasty shooting pains where?? It sounds very worrying! I hope you get it sorted quickly. Waiting a week for an appointment is crazy.

WL good luck with the driving!** I hate driving long distances myself, so avoid it as much as possible with the kids.

DD is as big as a few 2 year olds we know. She is tall and very solid.

WLmum · 30/10/2015 20:22

We're at friends for the weekend, have come down from putting the dds to bed and friend is not anywhere to be found! Her dc are in their rooms with doors shut (her dh is yet to come home from work). Where is she?!

Barbeasty · 30/10/2015 21:06

It's just in my hand every so often. And my hip aches again. I didn't say it was urgent, because it isn't really. And if it still hurts next Monday I'll know I needed the appointment.

Hope your friend turns up WL.

Was she in the loo? Putting the rubbish out?!

Beasty is it arthritic?

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 31/10/2015 07:48

wl did she turn up?

My mum's arthritic toe responds to wet weather

WLmum · 31/10/2015 09:45

Haha she was lying silently in the dark in her ds's room getting him to sleep!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 31/10/2015 10:55

Some viruses give you achy bones too Beasty. Hope it's nothing serious.

WL, I know I'm late to the table but you are me when I started my job in April. I sat around with very little to do. I messed up loads and got told off all the time as I don't know the processes.

It's just over 6 months in and I'm an old hand. People keep asking me what we did for last years Christmas party etc and I have to remind them I wasn't here.

So basically soon you'll be part of the furniture like me! Just keep swimming! Have fun at your friend's house.

I'm off to get DS his winter boots and later we're going to a mini Halloween party. The sun is shining and I'm feeling like Julie Andrews!

Have lovely weekends all Halloween Smile

WLmum · 31/10/2015 17:34

Thanks fraz. Happy Halloween!

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 01/11/2015 18:28

Okay I don't want to tell anyone in real life so I'll tell you lot for your amusement!

I've just been on a match.com date and it was truly dreadful!

He was nothing like his photo - smaller, paler, not as good looking - Super socially awkward and he absolutely stank of dog. We watched Spectre because I was too polite chicken to get rid of him after the pre-cinema drink.

I sat there for 2.5 hours with him stinking next to me. I text him when I got home to say it was nice to meet him but there was no connection and have now blocked him.

I feel mean but could not have gone out with him again.

SpottyTeacakes · 01/11/2015 18:54

Ah WillYou! I don't think I would have the confidence for it. Good for you though. You're a right catch and can def do better than dog man. reveals secret girl crush on WillYou

WLmum · 01/11/2015 19:02

Love it frazzled - it is Halloween weekend after all - scary date o'clock!
I have a totally unrealistic romantic notion of dating these days and love to live it vicariously through others. Keep at it, a couple of my friends have kissed all the frogs and then found good guys and are blissfully happy.

ThreeFrazzledFandangos · 01/11/2015 21:52

Haha send me your profile Spotty, I'll consider you!

I was sat there thinking shall I just disappear before we buy the tickets but I really wanted to see Spectre. I did buy the tickets though as I didn't want him to think I owed him anything. Should've gone alone and saved myself a tenner!

I haven't been single in 11 years Halloween Shock so this is all very new to me too! You kind of just have to put yourself out there and grow a thick skin to deal with the weirdos!

WLmum · 01/11/2015 22:27

I imagine it can be pretty tough fraz but you always seem to have a great sense of humour so I'm sure that will see you through!

MrsNutella · 02/11/2015 14:27

Frazzled I think you're amazing too! Sorry about dog man. I'm jealous enough that you got to see spectre! I really want to go but need to find out which horrible smelly cinema it is on in English at...

Can I moan about something totally unrelated?? Well...

The town where I live is about as charismatic as Milton Keynes shopping centre (sorry if anyone lives/loves it there) and I hate it. I think it is ugly, boring and grey. There are of course endless links about 30 wonderful, beautiful things in Hannover. There are never 30 things. It is usually pictures of the inner city forest (they will tell you it is the biggest in Europe... It isn't even the biggest in Germany), the town hall, the big lake and the old town at different angles and different times of year. Boring, ugly and characterless town argh.

Sorry. Just another thing popped up on my bloomin FB feed today and I had an optimistic look through..,, same old same old....

WLmum · 02/11/2015 21:16

Boo nutella. Are there nicer places you can visit easily ish? Get a visit in quick before the snow comes!

NannyOggsHedgehogs · 02/11/2015 21:34

German Christmas markets are meant to be amazing, or is that something they've exported here?
