I wholeheartedly feel your pain pear We are going through this crappy phase again with M. If she takes a nap she's a nightmare to get to sleep in the evenings. If she doesn't take a nap she's a nightmare during the day, crashes immediately upon bedtime and then wakes up at 2 am thinking she's just completed a splendid nap and it's time to start the day. It feels like we just can't find a happy medium with her right now!

I get grumpy too with the way DH cleans sometimes. It's different. Sometimes no way near as efficient (ie, cleaning out a room or his car, just throw everything in a box and put the box to one side, job done and no one can find anything because it's in this random box Hmm)

I'm sorry today has been frustrating for you. I hope those are just the spike of hormones and that it's not the sign of AF.

Glad you got results Frus! Obviously it's not good that you DD has experienced more hearing loss, but I hope it is answering some questions that you've had and can start the gears in motion to start making things a bit easier that were previously unknown.

peardrop2 · 06/08/2015 19:12

Ah thanks bring Smile All these little things wind me up at time of the month, especially the self settling issue Shock. At Least DH are in agreement about CIO (mainly because DH knows he isn't the one doing the training hah hah). I will make him have his turn though Wink Bpear was clearly ready for training as I went in tonight after 5 minutes of historical and jumping crying and he's now asleep after I left 3 minutes ago. I know I should have done the training a couple of months a go but I just wasn't ready to commit to the torture but now I am Smile For me I've always had to reach the "enough is enough" point! Obviously tonight has gone swimmingly well because he didn't nap. I'm sure tomorrow will be tougher but we will see! And I'll have my bottle of wine downstairs tomorrow (must remember to buy that in the morning) Wink

peardrop2 · 07/08/2015 13:45

Results are in. 53.1. Means nothing to me but apparently the doctor thinks I've ovulated. Good news but I don't really feel like it's getting me anywhere really!

bringonthetrumpets · 07/08/2015 16:27

What levels were they testing, pear? I'm curious to go look it up in my old midwifery books!

Eep! 9 days to take-off. This is coming up way too quickly.

peardrop2 · 07/08/2015 16:30

Progesterone levels

peardrop2 · 07/08/2015 16:34

Let me know if you find anything Wink

kittykatsforever · 07/08/2015 19:55

Hurar to 5 mins pear WineWineWine at the ready! Kitten won't nap now on the day if I put her down in her cot, to be honest I'm pretty flexible now if she doesn't have a sleep so be it she goes to bed earlier if were out she will sleep In the car at home she sometimes falls asleep cuddling on the sofa she's bloody good as gold at nursery though little blighter puts herself to bedAngry aslong as I have my evenings I can live with it lol

peardrop2 · 07/08/2015 21:28

Thanks Kitty Smile Tonight it went down to 2 minutes so I'm just so relieved it's going well. Bpear also did his first wee in his potty tonight so it's been a successful day! I can't drink to celebrate though because AF hasn't arrived yet. I'm expecting her to though because I read that pooping a lot is a sign of your progesterone levels dropping so I'm in no mans land Hmm

peardrop2 · 07/08/2015 21:30

Oh and how frustrating that kitten puts herself to bed at nursery! It's just amazing how different they act around us and try and get away with. They're no fools!!! 2 years old and certainly cunning!

peardrop2 · 08/08/2015 15:08

12dpo, no spotting, achey right boob, BFn on Superdrug test this morning. Normally start spotting on 11dpo. Going to test again tomorrow morning!

bringonthetrumpets · 08/08/2015 16:20

Oh wow, pear. Inconclusive tests, but still exciting that there is a small change from the ordinary for you!

So, I looked up progesterone testing in my trusty midwifery diagnostic tests book and unfortunately I don't really have a straight answer to give you based on what I could find. Obviously I'm not your GP and I don't have a clue on what your GP's next plan is in the way of testing, so please do not take this as medical advise! According to what Anne Frye writes; when it comes to progesterone testing, midluteal serum progesterone levels are tested(it also says day 21 here, but I'm not sure what day of your cycle your bloods were tested) and that a result of 31.8 or more indicates ovulation. It says that single tests are not to be taken as final result as progesterone is secreted in pulses and so levels may be higher at certain times than others. The suggestion is to also take a look at FSH and LH levels at various points through the cycle to see how they are changing. There is also mention of testing the prolactin levels and how higher levels may indicate luteal phase defects. These are all things that you've mentioned before and brought up to your GP, so I do feel as if I'm just repeating what you've said since you're very knowledgeable on this already. Frustrating that there is a timeline procedure for when they will allow testing on this because why shouldn't you have a picture of what's happening to your body before a year of trying is up? I really hope this month is the month for you pear. Hopefully I've helped in some way and haven't scared you Confused !

We are down to 8 days to go time. The suitcases have been dragged out, clothes are starting to be in piles all over the place. Last minute trips to the store for things like nappies, face wash, etc are starting to take place.... it's all kicking off now!

peardrop2 · 08/08/2015 21:30

Aww bring thanks! That's interesting to know that above 30 is good. Especially as my result was so much higher then that. Personally I think you would do a better job than my GP Wink He wasn't interested in testing my prolactin levels and kept repeating that it could just be that I need time to adjust. The blood test was taken 7 days post getting My peak on the Opk because I ovulate late in my cycle "21 days" doesn't apply to me.

peardrop2 · 08/08/2015 21:35

Oops sent that last message too quick. Anyway, it looks like maybe my Lutuel phase is sorting itself out and maybe the Agnus Cactus is working!! I've got 2 bottles of wine ready for when AF shows!

Good luck with the packing bring!! I'm sure with lots of deep breathes you'll stride through it Wink Sounds like you're on top it it Smile

peardrop2 · 09/08/2015 09:40

Game over Hmm AF cramps and light spotting arrived this morning boo hop Hmm I can't be too disheartened because I ovulated 2 days early this month and got a 12 day LP so things look like they've improved...it's still hard though Confused I have 2 bottles of wine and my scrumptious son to take my mind of f it this week Wink

Loraline · 09/08/2015 14:54

Sorry pear but enjoy the wine and scrumptious bpear

Good luck with packing Bring

bringonthetrumpets · 09/08/2015 20:17

Ahh sorry pear I hope the wine is fabulous. I miss wine. Living with a sober recovering alcoholic is of course way better than wine, but I still would love a glass of merlot.

1 week to go. The laundry has commenced. Booya!

MIL is still not any better. The docs had plans to give her an immunoglobulin infusion to help with her immune system with fighting off the chest infection and she reacted to the infusion so now she's recovering from the reaction and they have to wait for her to get better to try again. Apparently this is all part of the bone marrow transplant game but wow is it throwing a wrench in our plans! Now we have no idea if we are staying in the cottage as planned, if she will even be able to stay in the cottage or if she'll still be in the hospital... feels like a repeat of last summer. Sad

peardrop2 · 10/08/2015 07:37

Thanks bring. The wine was over pretty quick. That's the thing about wine...you crave it longer then it lasts Wink It was good to relax though. Sounds like when you get back from your hols you need to arrange a catchup with your pals so that you can have that glass of Merlot Smile My DH doesn't drink (just because it's not his thing) so I can totally understand how you can crave the odd glass. When you don't drink at home it does help keep off the pounds though doesn't it!! So sorry to hear about your MIL's development and how it's all up in the air. How's your DH coping with it all? Well done with keeping on top of the washing. Apparently that's the key Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 11/08/2015 15:14

Oh I am very much looking forward to having a glass of wine when we get back in Sept with a good girlfriend that I haven't seen all summer!

My mum is taking me out on a spa day today for my early 30th birthday present since I'll be abroad when the big day comes. Kinda fun having my birthday abroad so I can celebrate it over there with the hubby's family who are way more into making birthdays a big deal than mine (Little trivia fact: I grew up a JW, remember, so I didn't get to start celebrating my own birthday until I was 18 and out of the house. My first present ever for my birthday was when I was 18 and it was a cooking wok from my then-bf's-mum!) and being able to come back and have a much more subdue version of my birthday again with my family by going out for dinner and pretending that it's not actually for my birthday. Wink

M was being absolutely adorable this morning. She was trying to make all the different animal sounds she could remember whilst I was making breakfast and when I asked her "what does a turtle say?" the look of intense concentration and confusion on her face was something I so wish I could have captured on-camera! She just looked at me like "I don't remember studying for this one!?" Grin

bring I just saw that now. Sounds adorable. I love that look on their faces when they're really thinking or a bit stumped - or even just can't quite find the word in their heads.

frus those are suspicious symptoms. No idea what they could be if not pg. Might be best to poas just to definitively rule it out?

AGnu · 13/08/2015 13:30

Frus it could be lots of things - anaemia, thyroid, vitamin deficiency, diabetes, stress... You really do need to take care of yourself & book a GP appt. When it comes to your health you need to adopt a plane-emergency attitude - get yourself sorted first before you focus on other people who need you! If necessary, take the DC along & ply them with junk food to keep them quiet! Wink

sounds like good advice Agnu

I'm on day 24 of my previously 23-day, but last month 24-day, cycle with no AF yet. That said I'm massively bloated and have felt crampy twinges so maybe my cycle's just getting a bit longer month by month.

Day 25...

AGnu · 14/08/2015 14:02

Eep! POAS? Grin I remember with Runt that I felt like I was just about to get my period for the first few weeks - really freaked me out! How long will you wait before you do POAS?

Frus, did you manage to book your appt?
