Cinnamon I hope today gets better as it goes on sorry ds1 is ill.
I hope you can enjoy your self at the wedding later.

Penguin I hope you got more sleep and feel better soon, I hope your Dh feels well enough to take care of you.

Wineandchoccy · 21/12/2015 09:59

Sorry you are not well penguin I agree where is the nice crisp winter weather I'm fed up of warm and wet days.

I'm glad did is sleeping better babiecakes don't feel guilty about not putting her in her own room earlier this parenting lark makes you realise you you have to do what makes each day easier at the time then just when you have that sussed something else changes.

cinnamon I'm sorry the hospital could not give you any more answers. Take care of yourself especially not eating much before a run x

PenguinPoser · 22/12/2015 08:43

Hope your cold is getting better cinnamon. It's just the cough really for me now which is really irritating me! Hopefully it will start getting better soon.

Another wet day here! It's cooled down a bit though. I had a flat tyre yesterday 30 miles from home (thankfully at a friends house so not stranded!!) but we managed to use some girl power to get it changed (I really need DH to show me how to do it myself) and the tyre has a nail in it and is splitting so needs replacing. So that's what the car is getting for Christmas! I had to drive home at 50mph up dual carriageway as my spare tyre is only a smaller one.

Going for brunch today and then coffee this afternoon. Hope everyone else has a good day.

Oh yes get your Dh to show you, I had to show dp the first time he had a flat ( I don't drive but learned how at scouts), glad you were not stranded, hope you have a lovely brunch.

We all slept last night I actually slept 5,5 hours that has to be a record, dd woke at midnight I changed her she fell back over and she's still asleep so I'm waiting on her waking, we won't be going out this afternoon it's to horrible, I got a lot of pick and mix things that were meant for Christmas Eve but we may make them for dinner and hope ds eats some.

cinnamongreyhound · 22/12/2015 17:02

I've never changed a tyre PenguinPoser, I had one when I was pregnant and had Luke in the car I just called theAA.

The wedding was wonderful, very small and simple and dh loves the vintage double decker we travelled on. Food was lovely and great company but I was ready to go get them around 5. We stayed until 6.20 and got back to a happy baby! He ate all his lunch had 2oz of milk at 4 and was still awake having slept from when I left him at 11 until 2. Went to bed happily and dh fell asleep about half an hour after the kids Sad

Wineandchoccy · 22/12/2015 22:25

My Dad made me do a mechanics course at night school when I was learning to drive because he said I needed to learn how to look after my car so I am a dab hand at tinkering with a car 😂

I am knackered today I have looked after my 9 yr old nephew who is bouncing because did you know it's 3 sleeps until Christmas! He has not stopped talking all day we have been to soft play with Eleanor, McDonalds, walked to the shops in town and now I am ready for bed.

Babiecakes0435 · 23/12/2015 03:50

Cinnamon glad the wedding was nice and ds3 was happy.

Wine that sounds tiring, hopefully you're resting now.

Ds is awake and bouncing off the walls, we seem to be in a pattern of one good night then the next night is a 3am wake up, I'm so tired but if I fall asleep he's bound to find something most likely opening presents, I'm hoping he calms down soon so I can get some sleep.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/12/2015 07:09

Has anyone suggested medication to help with his sleep at all babiecakes0435

PenguinPoser · 23/12/2015 08:19

Agree wit cinnamon babiecakes - I think I remember you saying medication has been mentioned at some point, how do you feel about it? Hope you had a better night.

Wineandchoccy you're a useful woman to know if you can change a tyre! DH is going to show me. My new tyre is on so I can go full speed again!

DD has her next nursery session later today. Don't know what I'm going to do with 2 hours to myself Shock still too much to do and too little time!

Babiecakes0435 · 23/12/2015 08:20

It has been suggested at his review about his autism last April, i think he's back in April the ot that was out the other day mentioned it, we have been debating and debating over it all year. We all need sleep but I'm worried about the effect of using medication on him, it feels wrong but we are getting to a stage we may have to.

He did fall back over at 7 dd slept until 7.30 so we are quietly playing downstairs until he wakes which is hopefully not soon so he isn't grumpy, dp is taking him while He goes and buys my Christmas.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Wineandchoccy · 23/12/2015 08:36

babiecakes I understand why you wouldn't want to medicate but it may be worth investigating if it would help you all have settled nights sleep.

Penguin normally if you had 2 hours free I would say go and have a nap or lie in the bath in peace but 2 days before Christmas you probably won't have that luxury!

Cinnamon I'm glad you had a lovely time at the wedding, the vintage bus sounds lovely.

I am going shopping today God help me! I'm normally so organised but this year I have been a little bit busy with a small noisy person! I have 2 birthdays to buy for Mums is Boxing Day and my brothers is the 29th and I need to get another bag of balls for Eleanor's ball pool because I filled it yesterday and realised 300 balls barely covered to bottom.

I hope everyone has a nice day without yo much Xmas stress.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/12/2015 09:43

One of my minded boys has been prescribed a very little dose of melatonin and it's made such a huge difference to him. He was often awake at 1am just sitting on the floor playing with his fingers! He's more rested and therefore in a better mood and copes with life much better. He's 9 and not long been diagnosed with asd and he is so much happier. He's also havin other therapies which I think help as he feels more understood but sleeping has definitely helped.

Babiecakes0435 · 23/12/2015 11:18

I x posted with you penguin I hope you can relax while dd is at nursery.

Wine I hope it's not to bad shopping today, dd will love her ball pool.

Cinnamon it's good to hear of other people having positive effects with it, my main fear is if we give him it and it makes things worse.

Ds got up at 9 he's in a good mood dp is about to get up I'm hoping dd naps and I can join her while they both go shopping.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/12/2015 16:33

Hope nursery went well PenguinPoser and you got lots done!

Hope your shopping went well wineandchoccy, my dads is 27th and doesn't want/need anything Confused

Done Tesco shop today with my three plus 16month old mindee and it went pretty well! Didn't even need to bribe anyone with food which is a bonus, it was very busy though and I dread to think what tomorrow will be like. Went to the park afterwards which was nice.

Wineandchoccy · 23/12/2015 21:16

Shopping trip was a success it took a while to get on the multi storey car park but was not to bad in the shops the only shop I didn't bother with was Primark because the queue looked massive and I only wanted knickers because I am still wearing my granny pants Blush

I hope you managed a nap babiecakes

Blimey cinnamon 4 children and a tesco shop and no bribery needed what a result that is! Ugh Dads are hard to buy for so I feel for you having to think of something to buy so close to Christmas.

I think I have a thief in the making we went to soft play yesterday and they have numbers for the table when you place your food order, I was putting the pram in the car this morning and a number 2 dropped out of the foot muff and then today in BHS she swiped a necklace off a stand which was quite nice so I have bought that for my Mums birthday and at least I can say Eleanir chose it!

Babiecakes0435 · 25/12/2015 00:00

Cinnamon wow I don't think I could shop with 4 I refused to with both of mine alone this week well done.

Wine aww that's sweet about the necklace, ds has stolen tights before which I returned with a red face.

I hope you all have a great Christmas xxx

Wineandchoccy · 25/12/2015 06:27

Merry Christmas, I hope the babies all have a lovely 1st Christmas x

babiecakes I returned the table number to the soft play because I felt guilty!

Dd is full of a cold but she has slept all night hooray just given her a feed and put her back in the cot whilst I put my dressing gown on and she started snoring so I am back in bed, an extra nap it must be Christmas!

cinnamongreyhound · 28/12/2015 13:31

Merry Christmas to you too wineandchoccy! A bit late I know but it's been a busy one.

Hope you've all had a lovely time. Ours has been good in between arguments and hospital trips to see mil. Just picked up dss and off to sil for another Christmas there, although we're having meatballs and spaghetti not turkey.

Babiecakes0435 · 28/12/2015 16:05

Merry Christmas to you both.

Sorry it's not being so great cinnamon spaghetti and meatballs sound really nice I hope you enjoy it.

We are on our way home after shopping child free, looking forward to relaxing with the kids it was to busy for my liking I felt a but panicky but it was good to be able to get stuff in without without having to stop every 5 minutes for the kids.

Wineandchoccy · 28/12/2015 20:45

Spaghetti and meatballs sounds perfect cinnamon sorry you have not had a great time though I hope things are better soon.

Child free shopping sounds great monkeybabies

I've had enough of Christmas now I want my house back to normal, decorations down, I would like normal food and no bloody parties or in laws please!

Wineandchoccy · 28/12/2015 20:46

I forgot to say we have a tooth Smile

Babiecakes0435 · 29/12/2015 00:25

Yay on the tooth, I took my tree down on Christmas night I've not felt festive and ds had taken all the decorations off anyway.

I'm finding it hard to sleep tonight ds and dd both have been sleeping since 7:30 and I can't switch off.
Hoping to sleep soon I keep worrying about everything tonight.

Hope you all have a good nights sleep.

cinnamongreyhound · 31/12/2015 23:44
